Wow. I'm blown away at your mini painting skills.
15 minutes in and it's already better than anything I've ever painted lol
Only time you should compare yourself to a golden daemon winners paint job is when you are also competing in the paint competition.
The legendary Richard Gray! How did I not know you were on UA-cam? Such a wonderful tutorial. I look forward to seeing many more of these! Thanks for the amazing content.
For reference, the shield is about the size of a 5p coin. Richard's brush control is off the chart.
Thank you for sharing, Richard!
This is almost exactly the tone I wanted for my Cursed City (and other undead) models, so this tutorial was fantastic
More vids like this please! Really Great tutorial. The nmm elements were especially helpful and instructive. One vid for every hero and villain in Cursed City would be splendid. 😬. No pressure.
please, do more tutorials. your advices are priceless. for the first time since... ever, i think of trying nmm. thank you
Thanks for the video! I've seen a lot of NMM, but I'm still surprised at how convincing yours looks in the final shots towards the end. Just goes to show that you don't need to spend hours slaving away at it to get really credible results either.
About 34:00, the VGC Extra Opaques do use the Model Color formula. Most of them are actually relabels of existing VMC paints that happened to be roughly similar to the old Citadel Foundation paints, but a couple of them (like Heavy Warmgrey) were made exclusively for the VGC line.
Best painter on UA-cam and best tutorials. Thank you
Great video quality, great commentary! Please more videos like that.
very cool to watch your process. i'm coming back to this video a second time after trying it out myself.
thank you so much for posting this for free.
Awesome job!!! Very dark and in keeping with the spirit of the cursed city. It is necessary to adopt such a color✊
Wonderful video Richard thank you! I would love to see your take on a vampire model specifically the pale skin!
Absolutely Fantastic!!!
Just amazing. Lovely camera work, great voice over and stunning finish. Very forgiving style allowing texture and character. Loved your ork skin too. Thanks for the UA-cam video 🤟🏼
Awesome work, I’m excited for this channel! I’d love to see some Malifaux and/or Crisis Protocol tutorials!
I've been looking forward to this since you posted this mini on Instagram and I wasn't disappointed. Fantastic video, I simply can't wait to try this out on my own CC skeletons!
Thank you YT algorithm for recommending me this
Looks so darn good. Love it!
It's been great to see you posting videos regularly recently. I've always thought that your work is incredible, so to actually see your process is really cool.
Thanks for this. Picked up quite a few tips!
This is absolutely fantastic, I'm awestruck...
Fantastic video! The speed at which you create such a masterpiece is incredible. Very nice to get a glimpse of your painting process
Can't believe I nearly scrolled past this!
Amazing
Exceptional video. I really love you work and your distinct style. Any chance of a video showing how you set up your palette like that and get those neat little pools of paint? Your painting looks so controlled and precise and I don't think I've seen you setting up you palette either in a video on here or on patreon.
Very very very nice!
This is great. Thank you!
Thank you for the wonderful tut!
Absolutely amazing, this helped me wrap my head around a lot of NMM basics, and has helped me understand looking at metallics for the colours (like seeing objectively what colours the shadows, midtones and bright points actually are) as well as general how to add light properly. Been trying to do basic OSL on mollogs mob, might try some of this on the rest of it and for painting my necrons.
Thanks a lot! Your style is amazing, so I'm looking forward to watching some more! =)
great vid, look forward to more, just joined your Patreon as well
Simply amazing! love your work
Wow thank you so much for sharing this 🤟🏻😎🤟🏻
Looks sick!
Great work Rich, very insightful!
I'm finding it hard to jump into this style with such high focus on light, shadow and the texture which affects them because it's so different from how all my other minis are painted.
In your opinion; should you hold off until starting a new collection to change style, repaint your current collection to suit the style you're adopting, or just mix it in and not worry quite so much?
Amazing as always!..Will you ever offer 121 tuition classes once the plague resides?
Tkanks!
Brilliant as ever. How do you keep your paint puddles so neat?! They also look pretty diluted. Are they all diluted with the same amount of water?
Видео классное, и выглядит всё просто, но это из-за того, что работает мастер. Как начинаю пробовать сам - аювыходит бяка. :)
Thanks for posting this! Do you wear any sort of magnifying glasses or whatnot, in order to paint the smaller details?
Hello! Wonderful video. Just curious if you are ever opening more private tutorial spots within your Patreon? Would love to work with you.
Yes
Your color started drying up relatively fast. Are you painting in a dry environment or to you tend to keep your wet pallet on the dry side?
Please paint Kirai Ankoku from malifaux 3ed!!!
How important is the specific white (Morrow White)?
I know P3 is usually matt, but can any white be used for this recipe?
you seem to use quite large flat pools of paint? What is the reason for this? Do you dilute them with something beforehand for example
They are mixed with water to get the desired consistency. I find having the large flat colours makes it much easier to get the exact colour I want.
Is very super
thanks buddy! do you accept commission? ;)
Killer
It looks amazing when you paint, but it looks like a piece of cartoonish shit when I am trying to repeat after you :D
Was this meant to be listed? Lol
This kinda talent should be banned, I’m now depressed.
