What i found really amazing is that videogame music always have to have bangers i mean all i want is the gameplay but damn they didn't had to go hard with the music thats a bonus point for yakuza for keeping me entertained.
amazing work. darks slayer Vergil also has some awesome Yakuza remixes on their channel of a duel mix of independent for valence specifically. Keep up the great remixes and theirs one last thing left to say. "BRING THAT SHIT KAZAMA!"
Well wouldn't it make more sense to do a mix of ideal for violence and break off? I know it didn't play when you fought him i kiwami but I definitely feel like it was intended to play there.
it would probably make more sense thematically, but i chose this combination more because of the music. I'm not sure if intelligence/ideal for violence would work as well with break off because they are pretty constant harmonically, but then again i haven't tried
Well, the process of picking songs isn't too complicated, I always have music playing in my head and sometimes I find certain similarities between songs. I put them in Ableton Live (I use the lite version), adjust the tempos and pitch shift them so that the keys fit. The rest is just finding which parts of the songs make for interesting combinations. After that there's just some fine-tuning, so for example I think upping the bass on the song I pitchshifted down (or the one I didn't pitch shift up) is a good idea. I think it's a good strategy to first focus on how one song can complement the other, and then flip them around. So, for example, in this mashup I first focus on Get Over It and how adding various sections of Break Off could enhance it before switching them around

Mixing the best song in kiwami one and the second best in Kiwami 2 makes for one helluva song.
what do you think is the best in yk2?
@@hisuifan19 ngl i can’t remember. It may have been outlaws lullaby or the Kani douraku music
I just found out that that helluva means hell of a, I'm dumb
@@loloshua Better late than never I guess
Same rankings for me as well! For me, Heading to Kamuro Hills is best for K2
This one slaps so much hard. Especially on 3:10
Literally sounds like a completely new thing. For some reason, it gives me a JRPG vibe?
Hmm yes, Yakuza 8 OST
10 years in the joint made you a really good mashup
Man that thumbnail is so cursed. Never even in my worse nightmares could I imagine Shinji's face looking so similar to Shindo goddamn.
this is really goddamn good, especially when it changes to break off with elements of get over it. Nice job!

@@futabamajima I've definitely seen weirder mashups somehow work
What's your process for making these? How do you pick the songs/mix em together?
