Thanks Mr. Sung for that 'tour-de-force' through the Bosendorfer facility. I had to view the video twice, having been captivated by the wood storage/treatment segment. And the the 'aging' of the steel portions was very interesting. Thankyou.👍

Thanks for showing...very interesting. If I am not wrong, Yamaha is the owner of this prestigious brand, right?
Do they use some Bosendorfer technology for their own Yamaha production?

Hello Jack. Although the R&D departments of both companies remain separate, it is inevitable that they influence each other. We think one example of this is the direction of the Yamaha tone in their newest models. The pianos are warmer sounding and they are beautifully built instruments. Thank you for your comment.

@@richgalassini5892 I agree! I have just bought a C3x and it sounds nothing like the old C3 and closer to the European classics!

most expensive? what about ravencraft, fazioli and so on?

I think, it was not a research based, factual statement.
Still, when you look at standard models at each brand... the Bösendorfer 290 Imperial is for sure one of the most expensive ones (if not the most expensive). It can cost $300 000 - $600 000, while e.g. Fazioli's standard concert grands cost about half of that.
It is probably due to the manufacturing time. Bösendorfers can take 6 years to finish, while Faziolis take about 2-3. Steinways are much cheaper than any European brand - despite being completely hand made - and they finish a piano under 12 months...
