A sublime performance from a remarkably gifted pianist. He is able to express emotions so deeply with this wonderful Fazioli piano. It is truly artistic expression. Thanks for sharing.
I’m obsessed with the theme at 4:52 to the end. I love how much space and how much resonance Debussy gives the music at that part. It really sounds like many drops of water falling into a pond causing many ripples. This moment is an example of why I love Debussy’s music so much.
I love how you can hear notes clearly in his playing, even in the left hand. Most recordings of this piece is so peddle heavy. Would love to hear him play some Ravel in the future, especially "Gaspard de la Nuit" and "Mirors"
Richter's buddy and two-piano partner Anatoly Vedernikov is another one of the greatest Debussy performers. In his diaries Richter goes on about how much he loves his recording of the Etudes, and the preludes and Images are magnificent as well. Probably the most original Debussy I know.
it ought to be against the law to play so beautiful, there is no room for us poor mortals to dare play, or get inspiration fro this great pianist and play like him.to be or not to be,that is the question.
+polskapianist It's against the law for ME, (who could probably be his mother....sigh), to be so in love with this young man. I speak of his talented genius.and as a professional performer/Conductor/Opera Singer/Teacher. Yes. I can obviously play piano.... but he is utterly magnificent.
IN the water, OF a water. The semantics are not the point. Yes, we speak French, but who speaks Debussy? This is 5 + minutes of extraordinary. LOVE Claude. LOVE Daniil T.
in franfurt am main im november, a wonderful "souvenir" of this city, and i think that daniil find himself great in claude Debussy piano Music, for more $
Danill is a great pianist, there is nothing to say. But he plays Debussy like Ravel. Debussy is a continuation of Chopin. Ravel is the continuity of Liszt (even if there are common points between Debussy and Ravel).
I think that everyone watching and listening to this video should be aware that when WQXR (the "non-commercial" radio station that has commercials) holds a Fundraising Drive imploring listeners to save the station the contributions that are collected do not go to WQXR but go, rather, into the general operating fund of its parent company, WNYC, which uses the money to support 4 public radio stations in NJ, the $900.000 annual salary (+ benefits) of the president of WNYC, and whatever else WNYC wants to spend it on? I think that this is misleading, deceptive and wrong. I have let my opinion on this matter be known to both stations without receiving any satisfactory response. I am considering contacting the FCC and WQXR's sponsors (which they refer to as their "supporters") to complain about this dishonest practice.
So many wrong notes and sudden changes In articulation that it makes it hard for me to enjoy this piece played by this guy. I’m sorry but even Rousseau played better than him
Impressionist piano music at its very best !!
Bravo Daniil 🤩🤩
A sublime performance from a remarkably gifted pianist. He is able to express emotions so deeply with this wonderful Fazioli piano. It is truly artistic expression. Thanks for sharing.
IMHO this is precisely how this piece should be performed. Well done!
This man is a force of nature.....
perfect description for Daniil Trifonov
I’m obsessed with the theme at 4:52 to the end. I love how much space and how much resonance Debussy gives the music at that part. It really sounds like many drops of water falling into a pond causing many ripples. This moment is an example of why I love Debussy’s music so much.
Totally agree. It’s so satisfying and beautiful. Indescribable beauty in his writing and in Daniil’s playing
Очарование и волшебство звуков музыки Дебюсси! ДАНИИЛ, БРАВО!!!👏👏👏
So well played....I love it... KUDOS!
This is at WQXR in Boston, MA. It is very hauntingly beautiful!
Ahh beautiful
Exquisite!
Wow! Well played Daniil. Many players make this sound "muddy" and overbearing. He made this sound so clean and pure. Fantastic!
That's because he's one of the best....
What a jazz! Trifonov is the best pianist of our times. I really enjoy his playing. Maybe Bruce Liu can compete with him.
Lang lang
@@negan556 ahahaha
Bravo Daniil, ya no encuentro palabras...❤️🎼🎶🎹

Miroirs
Or more Debussy! I'd love to hear him do the 24 Preludes.
Excelente
amazing pianist
Perfeccion, exactitud y expresividad al maximo!
Magnifico Bravo !!
beautiful and again beautiful
Imagine hearing him in concert! My goal before I die! Hopefully sooner though!
Great play!
Extraordinario concertista, muy difícil obra, la interpretación del maestro es muy completa ¡¡,felicidades maestro...
My favorite piece by Debussy. Though I'd die to learn it.
Божественное исполнение... Нет ему рввных!
I feel the same ! Daniil is a Gift from Heaven ! 🌠
ну пожалуй только Микеланджели ;)
Magicien
le clapoti des gouttelettes , le choc des gouttes , les ondes etales , un tableau sonore
Easily the best playing of Debussy i've heard by a russian pianist since Richter. Maybe he'll become that good, he doesn't sound that far away now.
+Richard Needham..Yuri Egorov.Transcendental Debussy.
Richter's buddy and two-piano partner Anatoly Vedernikov is another one of the greatest Debussy performers. In his diaries Richter goes on about how much he loves his recording of the Etudes, and the preludes and Images are magnificent as well. Probably the most original Debussy I know.
Who has a brighter future than this man?
Beautiful!
Gorgeous.

very nice
It's called "Reflets dans l'eau", not "d'un". Reflections in the water, not reflections of a water.
You're right. I don't understand why they haven't changed the title, especially since it's easy to change. I guess they don't care.
IN the water, OF a water. The semantics are not the point. Yes, we speak French, but who speaks Debussy? This is 5 + minutes of extraordinary. LOVE Claude. LOVE Daniil T.
It seems the title actually says "reflections of a the water"
Of a the water
The Russians are usually good at French and Russia and France had such close connections from the time of the Tsars. Very good playing however...
Трифонов лучший!
Bravo ...
Nigh on perfect I'd say. This is NUTS!!!
美しい。うっとり。。。

ok dude
... Reflets dún léau, es real ...
Pues no sabía nada de este pianista, pero es magnífico.
ET QUEL NAGEUR, QUELDANSEUR !!!
It is “Reflets dans l’eau” which means “Reflections in the water”
it's a bit funny the mistake you made on the title, it's not 'reflets d'un l'eau' but 'reflets dans l'eau', reflections in the water =]
He remember me Michelangeli.
that tv is annoying
deepest thing in life is surface
A typical russian performce. Never like a french. But a great technical demonstration.
"A typical Russian performance"..... You've said it like it is a bad thing?
I haven’t read something that stupid in ages ! Clap
He plays it the Russian way.. It shouldn't be played like that
1905

Beautiful! Wrong chord at 1:02
Beautiful sound but over the top body movement...
Someone listened to some Michelangeli. . . And this is played too fast. . .
So many wrong notes and sudden changes In articulation that it makes it hard for me to enjoy this piece played by this guy. I’m sorry but even Rousseau played better than him
Who cares about wrong notes? Do they detract from the overall performance?
Beaucoup trop de manièrismes, souvent insupportables.
+praelud24 ça lui fait faire des fausses notes
c'est con parce que sinon, on sent qu'il l'a bien :)
What! Presumably because he's not french!
I prefer the style of Daniel Ericourt
