I agree. We always heard Sheila and Valerie. Fayette has a beautiful voice. Very rare that every one in a group can sing lead. These ladies are the best.
We often hear Sheila, or Valerie, but, what a treat it is to hear Fayette! What a beautiful voice. I am more than convinced that the Three Degrees were compromised of some of the BEST female vocalists around! Not even the Supremes can compare or come close. Bravo Faye! Surely she is singing praises to the Lord now that she resides with Him in Heaven! Thank You, ytgm00!
Hi Karen, listen to 'Isn't it a pity', by Three Degrees, lead vocals by Fayette! Written by George Harrison....a truly beautiful display of their perfect harmonies!
Bravo!!! Rest in Peace FAYETTE ❤️🙏🏻
The best soprano the Three Degrees ever had. Nothing - and noone - can compare to the sound of Faye, Sheila and Val - the creme de la creme of The Three Degrees xxxx
The best, of the best!
The lovely Fayette lives on not just in the you tube but in our hearts and minds.
GREAT LADY! R.I.P. I was born in Philadelphia, in 1951...so in a small way we grew up together. Thanks for being there.
No one can sing it better. You know you got a true love when the grass sing for you. Lord have mercy! Great song and great singing.
I love her soft and tender voice..
I simply love this video and song....superb and classy. She is the BEST!!!!!! Fayette is missed sooooo much :( .....
No one & nothing " lasts forever"; songs bring back & keep memories alive of " lost loves" & " special times together". Like " when I was 17" by Frank Sinatra( reminds me of my parents & family living together in " harmony" in suburban East Meadow, B4 the winds of change took all away forever. " Words"(BEE GEES) & " THEY WAY WE WERE"(B.STREISSAND) r " ALL I HAVE TO SAY, TO TAKE UR HEART AWAY"; SO" "WE WILL REMEMBER THE WAY WE WERE".
Fayette sings this song (originally sung and co-written by Tony Bruno) as he wrote and sang it, what I mean by that is she retains and increases the Sturm @ drang and drop- kicks the hell out of it !! No one will ever come close to Fayette Pinkney 🕯❤️
@proverbs1824 she was a fantastic singer; especially "live"; she always got her spot in a show; how sad we lost her :(((
thanks so much. I still miss Faye's flawless soprano but I never heard this cut before.

She was so BEAUTIFUL ❤️
I never heard this before! Thank you!
Wooow what a voice
The Best...... Thank You 😊
This is how I saw The Three Degrees - and when I say this, remember that I am not taking ANYTHING away from any of these fabulous ladies - they are ALL drop-dead gorgeous, and immensely talented to boot. But I felt like Sheila was the prettiest, Valerie had honestly the prettiest voice, but Fayette was the one I was helplessly, hopelessly, deeply in love with. My little eight-year old pasty-white ass, staring MEZMERIZED into that big ol' cabinet-model TV, was utterly captivated by Fayette, and that has not changed over the decades. Stunning. Absolutely STUNNING. 😍🤩♥
We all have to go sometime but Fayette went before her time very sad.
WHAT LADY WHAT TALENT. THIS SONG PUTS TEARS IN MY EYES WHEN YOU HERE HOW HARD SHE WORKS HER TALENT ON YOU. I HAVE HER VERY FIRST 45 . GEE BABY IM SORRY. AND A VERY NICE STORY TO GO WITH FAYETTE. MY MOM WORK IN CITY HALL ON TRI CAP. IN THE EARLY EIGHTIES,.AND LADY THAT WORKED WITH HER SAID SHE WAS FROM THE THREE DEGREES. I TOLD MOM WHO DID NOT NO THEM. GET HER AUTOGRAPH. AND I BELIEVE IT WAS JANET HARMON NOW JANET JONES, SHE WAS SECOND ONE IN GROUP WITH FAYETTE. WHAT A SMALL WORLD.. SO SAD TO LOSE THIS MULTITALENTED. LADY.
@ramona2400 yes, so true! that IS the concept of Richard Barrett !!! in live shows, they all got their own spot and together, they all have their lead-vocals; but, the backing vocals are as important; you always recognize the voices
RIP SWEET WOMAN
Fayette's solo album is now available on cd: ONE DEGREE!!!
Beautiful legend
GOD BLESS 🙏 you
never heard this one but i like it
@proverbs1824
Fayette is also on background here as well
nice
For Three degrees fans featuring Fayette....check out 'Isn't it a pity', a song written by George Harrison of The Beatles, a true treasure!!!
Fayette had a very strong and soulful voice.
Three Degrees were Philly sound version of Motown's Supremes - but bigger and stronger and melodic.

シーラとバレリーのコーラスも最高!
She can sing her azz off! Why didn't she lead songs in the group ❤ RIH
Barrett was wrong for kicking her out of the group over her relationship.
