Just checked the price of the sphero R2D2 for my nephew's Cristmas present. £179 is waaaaay too much for a childrens toy and needless to say he isn't getting one for Christmas :D Under £100 would be a more tempting price point.
Do any of the BB8 toys move like he does in the movie? His head moves first in the direction he's going in, then he rolls with his head looking at the floor in the direction he's going in, whereas in the toys here it's the other way round, with the head lagging behind and looking at the ceiling.
There were some nice toys...especially those first two R2-D2s - the small one was pretty neat and lifelike and the droid builder seemed to be a quite fun way for children to learn how stuff works. Your droids are still better though:)
that small r2 unit is about £150 plus on ebay right now and with xmas very near those prices will only go up, but what do you get for your money, a unit that is like a remote control car that makes noice combined with an app that is required to make it work, what can it do without the app, how a video showing what these things can do with using an app to control them.

I've been meaning to please ask you NOT to show your work in fast-forward. It's highly creepy and the sounds are frightening. One way you could shorten the work screen time for us, you could just show the initial moment and then skip to the end of the piece of work. Please, if you have to unscrew something: maybe show you grabbing the screw driver and starting to turn it on the screw. Then skip to the last turn of the screw driver and the thing coming apart. On another note: very cool toys. I'd like one of each!! (But did I miss the review of the Porg itself?)
I think the sped up style works perfectly shows all the detail and means we get to see most of the process and the time it takes to do a particular task.
Well that is one voice out of thousands, there are plenty of wood working channels who do the same fast-forward video style and it works far better then TV style jump cuts to the finished product.

I like the sped up parts, especially if it is during building. For example those screwdriving sounds are surprisingly pleasant to listen to:)
