Proves you should always follow college tennis. I remember when Adam Walton 2 years ago played 3 futures in Mexico and won them all yet he was 1300 atp but number 4 in college.

Well done Nuno!! Great talent, beautiful game. Would love to see Borges crack the top 20 (or more) this year! And another to Bergs... great talent, also would be great to see climb much higher this year. Well done young men!
Despite what some were commentating that Auckland is a 'challenger' / 'not decent players', there has not only been some good matches but some fantastic points. Nice to see Becroft having a chance and this demonstrates WHY Players out of top 250/300 NEED all the assistance they can get. Also was good to see Altmaier get a second chance and was close to a win but also good to see Michelsen battling through. I will note 3 things though: - If this is considered a 'challenger' than Brisbane should be really considered ATP 500 given the very high calibre of players. I cannot agree that Auckland is below a 250. - It would be nice if this was all put on the South Island(last good part of 'nz') but that aside what I find bizarre is the TIMING of this tournament. Adelaide makes sense its a similar climate at times to Melbourne(same heat but different) and its all around a similar time zone but New Zealand in NIL WAY is similar to Melbourne! - This tournament proves that the whole 'play for the planet' or 'carbon tracker'(=B$) is really FICTIONAL. One moment players are in Brisbane or Sydney THAN in Auckland and then fly back to Melbourne ?! So thats nil emissions to double back? Put Auckland either before Brisbane or after the Slam
Dico solo questo: punteggio terzo set 5-6, 30-30 il commentatore "adesso c'è davvero bisogno che Luciano metta queste due prime". Luciano: seconda e perso il punto, doppio fallo e partita persa.
some douche in a skyline I reckon. Its hardly fair to stop mid point, the same noise for both players, you just play through. Sound not as bad at court level either.
Poor Auckland, always getting the rough draw in terms of quality players at this tournament! You would have thought more top players would want to travel to NZ.
Sofa warrior, those smashes are the toughest shot in tennis. Players usually take the safer route and wait for an easy put away 1-2 shorts later. That's how they are taught to play.
Those were indeed poor smashes. Both were not overly difficult but Nagal was tentative because it was Break Point and he feared giving the set away. Which is exactly what happened.
Great tennis by Becroft considering hes 980 in the world

At least we have Nagal for 2025. #NagalRoadToFrenchOpen2025 🎉
We already enjoyed Berrer, and now enjoy Nagal and Ajdukovic😂😂
@@Catoniano😂😂😂 We are waiting for some Purray or Del Motro to come out
@@pepitodelapepita5228 I realize we have Tien, atp 270 Jacquet and atp 411 Jacub Paul🤣🤣🤣.
@@Catoniano hahah funny 😄 Who is Jacquet referring to ? Gasquet ?
What about Muller Alexandre (France) vs Müller Gilles (Luxemburg)?
Michelsen ,what a player,even now great 🎉🎉🎉🎉
5:10 match point of the year already
Bergs finally playing with full confidense on the ATP Tour! Ofc he was the favourite in this match but I think his ranking can improve a lot this year
Good level shown by my countryman Nagal, he is improving steadily❤❤

Vamos Nuno 🇵🇹 💪🏽 🇵🇹
Dude has this Borges guy ever wear a color other than yellow?
True he seems to love that outfit haha
In an alternate universe Sumit Nagal is a 22 time grand slam champion
Nadal is back with his right hand!
Is this a Challenger?
Want rafa vs fognini 2018 Rome and 2019 montreal extended highlights
What's that horrendous noise on court @ 0:44? The chair umpire should have stopped play for hindrance.

Probably Dimitrov in his Lambo
New Zealand/Auckland is terrible for exhaust noise, it disturbs players and fans alike, this tournament should be taken elsewhere.

Ya. It looks like a Challenger.
Nadal vs Nagal, did that match ever occur?
nope
Very close, Nagal had to win his first round at Båstad which he didn't. Nadal of course went all the way to final.
Altmaier only wins Grand slam matches😂
I don’t understand player like Nagal….man you win the point with the smash, why you hit slow?
You deserve to lose the match honestly
