So, the king sent men to kill the General and instructed that his body be buried in an unmarked, forsaken grave in the swamp, never to spoken of again. The Princess could not bear the pain of the loss, so she ended her own life in hopes that they would meet again in the afterlife. Unfortunately, she was given a royal's burial, far away from her beloved. Years later, four of the General's most loyal men managed to locate his grave (0:12). In order to restore the once broken bond between the Princess and her love, they performed a sacred ritual to summon their leader to walk among mortal men once again (0:19). They told him what had happened to his beloved. Although proud of his men for their unwavering loyalty, the news brought intolerable pain in his heart, as if the sun had lost it's light and would never shine again (Jackson's expression and the set's lighting at (0:59). This however came at the price of their own lives and places in eternal existence which they humbly and willingly sacrificed for their leader (2:25 the way the soldiers fall backwards in their ritualistic, peaceful pose). The General explained to her what had happened and what he planned to do. The Princess was reluctant to return to eternity (her expression at 3:00). They could be one in love in life, not in death. But, he comforted her saying, "There is a hundred ways to leave a lover, but why live mortally only to naively await death to separate us again? I won't wait a minute longer. I'm the only one that you need." (3:05) The General embraced the Princess in his arms tightly and tenderly (3:13) to be sure that they would not be separated during the journey to the afterlife. I think what the idea is this (beautiful in any way): - they are not supposed to be together (she is a princes and he is a warrior) "let them say how they want" - but they fall in love and the "hourglass" of their time together starts to run but it is too short. - she realizes that he will be killed if they get caught so she leaves him, but he is ok with risk: "if I can love you good it's no ones fault"- meaning his death, cuz she will blame herself. - they continue their relationship on and off like that: "there are a 100 ways to leave a lover" she leaves him but keeps coming back cuz "I am the only one that you need" - "could you love me the same?" = could you be with me even if we are doomed because of it. "don't waste your love just let it last", "tell me what makes you stay?" because he is ready to be in danger for her, "it's a final curtain call but if you're ready I will give my all" = he knows he will die, and she will face punishment if not die too. - still they eventually died separately (he goes through the forest in hiding to find her grave), and his/her subordinates sacrificed their lives (drop at @2:26) to temporarily resurrect them and let them be together at least in afterlife. Edit: also she is wearing a red dress, red gown is traditional for brides. And the tree her grave is under has orange leaves signifying the end of their story is close, they dance and sink under ground as the leaves fall.
Jackson must have sacrificed his life for the nation and the 4 warriors brought him back to either help them in another war or to fulfill their promise to Jackson that they will do everything to meet his lover once again. Shout out to the director which we unfortunately don"t know. Please, let's appreciate his and dancers effort in this video. This play of lights are incredible! Once scenery is completely dark and later it's point directly at one person, so in this case Jackson and his lover, but between these scenes we can see light from behind a little higher than dancers. When the woman appear the light show up with her and behind the tree which give us an amazing view. This MV has a pretty complete story. Jackson's soldiers track down his grave and perform a series of ritualistic movements that raise him from the dead. He comes back all tattered and dirty, they put his armour back on him. They then track down the girl's grave together and perform the ritual to raise her from the dead, and the soldiers die in the process. Reunited with his lover, Jackson makes the movements behind her back and they sink back into the grave together.

It’s hard to be fluently in many languages if you don’t practice it every day or very often.
I speak Spanish and English everyday but my French is getting rusty because I don’t have anyone near to practice it with. So I totally understand trying to be fluent in more than three languages is a challenge but so amazing!
It's about traditional Chinese culture which is called生同衾死同椁。That means when couples are alive they use the same quilt and to the same grave when they die.
I saw many foreigners couldn't understand the gesture Jackson and Kinjaz done which s about“奇门遁甲” in Chinese.
BUT I dont know how to explain it in English.
Jackson always talks about bringing Chinese Traditional Culture to the Western and world. Some of Chinese listeners are criticizing Jackson never made it cuz they believe only Chinese lyrics could show Chinese culture.
But when I saw a lot of foreign people confused the gesture and the meaning of MV, I know Jackson made it.
This music genius always know the right way and do right thing, Im start waiting a Jackson Time.

I think what the idea is this (beautiful in any way):
- they are not supposed to be together (she is a princes and he is a warrior) "let them say how they want"
- but they fall in love and the "hourglass" of their time together starts to run but it is too short.
- she realizes that he will be killed if they get caught so she leaves him, but he is ok with risk: "if I can love you good it's no ones fault"- meaning his death, cuz she will blame herself.
- they continue their relationship on and off like that: "there are a 100 ways to leave a lover" she leaves him but keeps coming back cuz "I am the only one that you need"
- "could you love me the same?" = could you be with me even if we are doomed because of it. "don't waste your love just let it last", "tell me what makes you stay?" because he is ready to be in danger for her, "it's a final curtain call but if you're ready I will give my all" = he knows he will die, and she will face punishment if not die too.
- still they eventually died separately (he goes through the forest in hiding to find her grave), and his/her subordinates sacrificed their lives (drop at @2:26) to temporarily resurrect them and let them be together at least in afterlife.
Edit: also she is wearing a red dress, red gown is traditional for brides. And the tree her grave is under has orange leaves signifying the end of their story is close, they dance and sink under ground as the leaves fall.

This MV has a pretty complete story. Jackson's soldiers track down his grave and perform a series of ritualistic movements that raise him from the dead. He comes back all tattered and dirty, they put his armour back on him. They then track down the girl's grave together and perform the ritual to raise her from the dead, and the soldiers die in the process. Reunited with his lover, Jackson makes the movements behind her back and they sink back into the grave together.
