this looks so cool! what were your dimensions for the head piece? 🥺 i want to do a suki cosplay but i've never cosplayed before & have no idea where to start
Thanks! For the headpiece, my advice would be to draw the shape as best you can on paper, cut it out, then hold it up to your head in front of a mirror to see if it's the right size/shape. That's what I did! hahaha You may go through a few pieces of paper before you get the shape you like, but that's the best way to pattern out things for cosplay. Also, if this is your first cosplay, the headpiece is actually a GREAT place to start because its the simplest part of the outfit. Once you get that right, it will give you the confidence to keep going! Good luck!
The headdress is made with foam and gold trims. I used 3mm and 2mm foam to make the front bit, and I made the hanging tassles by hand from 2 different gold trims (you can see me putting the tassles together in the video). To make it sit on my head I put thick elastic inside a tube of green fabric and attached the gold pieces to the green fabric and then I just put the headdress on like a headband :)
This is awesome I wanted to wear a Kyoshi warrior costume but I couldn’t find anything my size that looked good so I decided to make one this video is so helpful thank you so much
thank you so much!! I can't remember exactly how much I used unfortunately, but I would guess I used less than 1.5m of the stretch pleather, and only about half a metre of the woven fabric for the bracers and shoulders. You can potentially use a sleeveless dress pattern to get a good estimate for the amount of fabric you'll need for the armour.
Why does she only have 100 subscribers
She is so good!!
Thank you so much! That really means a lot to us!
ahh amazing job! i’m also making a suki cosplay! it’s my first cosplay so this was really helpful, especially with the armour :D
