When we do a family road trip we always pick our V60 Cross Country over the Acura Suv. Best seats and ride. Wagon ❤️ Glad to see they are phazing out duel turbo, supercharged options. Missing the built-in rear kids boosters those were super practical.
I've had '20 XC60 D4 for 3 years and now I'm switching to V60 CC in exactly the same specification as this (minus wheels, I have 18-inch). I hope I won't be disappointed, because I enjoyed every minute spent in my XC60 :)
I have a Subaru Outback Limited. I also have young children. It's the perfect amount of luxury and at its much cheaper price point, you don't get too fussed about the mess the kids make. Great review, keep them coming!!
Our first Volvo was a 1new 980 245DL 4 sp OD...that lead to a 2005 V50 T5 AWD. After that was leased 2014 BMW 328xi which proceeded our current 2015.5 V60 CC. That was that last version (here in the U.S. anyway) of Volvo venerable I-5 Turbo engines. I've driven newer Volvos with their Turbo/Supercharged I4 engines....which now are just turbocharged. I hope our V60 CC lasts for many years as I much prefer the turbo I-5 and hate the new infotainment screen trend of burying controls within multi-layer touchscreens...(not just Volvo either). Nice balanced review..thank you!
Near the end you complained about the buttons for interior environment (heated seats, etc.). I do all this easily through voice commands on my '17 V90cc. Does the 2023 v60cc not have voice commands for controlling cabin temp, heated seats, etc.??? (I've come to realize that many reviewers ignore voice commands all together.)
Really like your reviews. Its funny complaining about wireless charging, I wouldn't buy a car to charge my phone or worry about the usual set and forget stuff like temperatures, mine is set on 24 and hardly ever change it. But I really like your reviews as you mention the important stuff like how quiet, ride, comfort of the seats etc.
Volvo V60 CC for Europe has wireless charging... why USA model doesn't have it? Can't tell. I ordered V60 CC B5 Ultimate + few options this week. Audi A4 Allroad is too small inside, and C-class Allterain is too plastic inside for me. In V60 you see what are paying for.
I have the 2020 V60CC. Love it. The infotainment is very slow to start, even slower than the upgraded 2023 version. Ergonomics are very good. The buttons make sense after you get used to them. I think wireless charging was offered in 2021 or 22. They dropped it for 2023. I guess it was very unreliable and took away storage space. I don’t miss it. You didn’t comment on the B&W sound system. It is fantastic! Very expensive, but worth it. I also think the design language and exterior styling is the best in class.
@ZekeMagnum except the exceptionally better reliability, and less immesians, battery cars are much worse for the environment, from lithium mines, to the power plants needed to charge the batteries, to the waste as batteries take usually over 100 years to breakdown and are typically tossed into the ocean, but we can recycle gas cars metal/material with less safety issues, they simply last longer, and are typically better for the environment up to 200,000 miles versus a ev car. The car of the future will be hydrogen powered.
@@ZekeMagnumwrong. EVs are worse for the environment and the replacement cost for the battery is often more than the new price of the car. Good example of this are HYUNDAI EVs where the battery alone cost $50,000+ labor
I get new cars are expensive etc .. my car was.. but these days when every1 is feeling the pinch, cars are even more expensive!!! ... I can only see cars possible going into administration at some point 🤔 plus the 340i touring is the same sort of price 😜
I love my Volvo but the company should really consider bringing back to standard suspension V60 similar to the polestar. Considering Audi will be bringing the RS4 Avant to the US market. Let's be honest, the V60 polestar is no match for it and for the price I think most people would pass and move over to Audi to get a non-Hybrid.
Having owned both a subaru forester and a v60 the volvo is better in every single regard other than price. Quiet, fast, smooth, good on gas and an order of magnitude more comfortable...if you can afford o e you won't be dissapointed.
Subaru in a country with winter 6 months a year and not offering a fueldriven heater, no way! I love my Volvo with Volvo On Call to start the heater when winter comes. Audi has this too, even bought the company who invented the VOC from Volvo i've read. Has the Subaru still the screaming CVT gearbox? And the Subaru is so utterly uggly!
Personally, I think volvo made a huge mistake when they start to put this... 4 cyllinders in all their cars. Top models with only 4...and you can feel the 2 missing cyllinders on every highway
If anything they should all be lowered Instead of trying to look like ugly tall bloated suv's. I drive a v60 rdesign and man is it fun long fast and low...just the way a wagon should be.
German cars are cold, sterile and unreliable in my vast experience. Volvo doesn't have any of those issues. This is a car for grownups and it shows top to bottom. If only they still offered the 3.0l inline 6. I have one and it blows the twin charged 4 out of the water in every single way other than fuel economy.
@@qaching Volvo is for stealth wealth. Money that doesn't need to shout because it inspires confidence and mature takes on what it means to have the means. What do you choose? The Audi A4 Allroad, Subaru Outback or the Volvo V60 Cross Country?
Audi A4 Allroad or A6 allroad
Outback mate
V60. No one can touch the style and class this car imposes!
V60CC
V60 CC, A4 all road is also nice, outback is not even comparable…
I would choose the Volvo V60 CC. It’s a mature and very sophisticated car. The engineering, style and safety sells me. Great video btw.
Why isn't anyone mentioning the amazing Bowers&Wilkins audio?!

I love the wagon, but it is too much expensive, especially in Canada. You cannot see many V60s on Toronto street.

So far, wired charging just works better, so not having wireless is no big deal

The choices at $72,000. Doesn’t make sense to me.
No point on buying a new gas powered car at this price instead of an EV

I see a lot of comments w people not understanding the pricing. You won't understand why these cars are pricey until you have a crash with them
You forgot to tell about the new drivers display
Same all same O. Nice car.

yep Volvo builds nice premium cars, unfortunately they are very expensive in Europe and maybe thats why they don´t sell much cars here.
Good review.
Mike -PLEASE don’t blurry the images on your review like you did on a couple of previous vids. That loses you mad street cred bruh!
😂
What colour is this?
Denim blue he says.
how did you manage to pull down hood? LOL
Hate how the cross country/allroad/outback models butcher the wagon design. Not as bad as a suv but still 😮💨
Mine has wireless charging and treat yourself to a new pair of jeans
Still not wireless charging for phones
None of your complaints are complaints to me, they are all pluses! You are splitting gray hairs on this video
Hard to justify at 65K (mid tier) vs. Outback Premier at 48K. I know Volvo is really nice but 17K more... not sure.
😢
Slightly used at 45K vs new Outback at 42K is a much fairer fight

Audi A6 Allroad is the best looking and a much better driving experience with a silky smooth v6.
Looks like a expensive Subaru crosstrek
nop ! my audi a4 allroad look way better :) not bad tho
best looking ? come on :D
Weird......in Europe the V60 CC is allowed to pull 4410 pounds ( 2000 kilogram ) !!!
The commentator on this channel needs donations to buy a pair of trousers, the poor guy !!!
He paid good money for those holy pants. Not sure who he's trying to impress, considering who would be interested in buying this car.
Getting in and out of the back seats on volvos have sucked for years. If it's just for kids, who cares.
