TAPa (cured/dried beef) + SInigang (fried rice) + itLOG (egg) = A portmanteau TAPSILOG :) Like the name which is a mix of the 3 main ingredients, you're supposed to mix it together ü
@@jahantraveller @manchestet 20 @Dave Dav I should have written "TAPa (cured/dried meat-in this case, beef)" because fish and chicken can be dried and cured as well (carabao meat, deer as well, but very rarely and are expensive). In Filipino cuisine, beef and fish are the most popular cured/dried meats. For fish, they are best smoked. If you get the chance or come upon Filipino smoked fish (tinapa, i.e., TinAPA (the "in" in the middle transforms it into "smoked"), don't pass it up! Cheers.
the indoor market reminds me of the Greenhills Shopping Center in Metro Manila. I don't think the lava chicken and picadillo are Filipino foods maybe fusion.
Its my first time in Philippines restaurants and they told us foods are authentic, definitely next time I will ask about rice. In next few weeks I will have another Philippines food reviews. I really love this food
Star margarine lang Yan para mag yellow ang rice. Isangag mo Yung rice at haluin mo Ng star margarine. Tapos magiging yellow ito. Marami gumagawa niyang sa Bahay Bahay noon 2000.
