As a compressor engineer the first time I saw this was in Mississippi 25 years ago and it blew my mind. That well was if I remember correctly, 250 feet deep and the air compressor was a Quincy 390 -2 cylinder 2 stage running on a old diesel engine. The water was crystal clear and ice cold. It produced around 60 gallons a minute the riser was 2 inch and the injection line was copper tube around 1 inch. The pressure was 175 psi but I'm guessing on that. I remember kinda high for that pump but it didn't hurt it at all. It was still being used after being built in the 1960s. It was filling a 3000 gallon hand made galvanized water tank that supplied 4 houses and 2 farms. This set up has so many advantages . They only ran it once a week to fill the tank and add salt or bleach I cant remember. Thanks for sharing.
what will that do with one of the harbor freight 1/2 cubic foot per minute compressors? I have a 500 gallon tank and will pump daylight hours with solar.
Sir plz tel me the cost or quantity of the compresed air which rise 5 galon/minit and is rhis pump can rise water from wel if the water is deep about 30 meter
wonder if a centrifugal blower out of a central unit would produce enough pressure if choked into a larger tube than 1/2 inch. It would for sure produce enough cfm.
Sir, can you help in same process I need 3 inch water outlet. I need a clear diagram mentioned air line size and water outlet is 3 inch. How much pressure to be maintained in pump. And the well depth is 400 feet. Thanks & Regards, Surendra.M
Yes a hose will work in that line like that but if you build a pressure chamber look at introduction to Airlift pump you will see how a pressure chamber is made you only need a 20 watt air pump it's not about air pressure it's about a volume of air that would be about 600 gallons an hour look at Ben and Glenn aquaponics
@@stephenmcaloon4035 ok thanks, can you please give me information about the light plant, how many watts it is and the compressor also if it is 1/3 HP, 3 GAL. 100 psi ... I have a well equal to yours and I want to use this system, you would help me a lot with the information, thank you very much, greetings
@@ricardosalinas5298 the compressor only runs at about 17 psi but high volume of air will produce more water so I actually use a twin cylinder compressor that I pedal power and when I feel lazy I use the ports cable 1/3 hp compressor some people use a wind powered compressor

I wonder how each of you are doing these days - I still come back to these videos to see the smiles and achievement!
Info is very helpful

Get a 20watt air pump
Hellow....how deep is your well?
The well is60 feet deep the water table is down 20 feet

@@stephenmcaloon4035 perfect and about the light generator you use for this compressor (this video) how many watts is it? thanks
@@ricardosalinas5298 it’s a 2000watt generator
