My parameters are based on situation. My daughter and her friend have gifted me with beautiful yarns. I want to knit with them. I also want to continue stashing down. Since I am going to have to move again, and I am not sure how much space I will have-I am sorting my stash and de-stashing everything that I don't plan on using. Some yarns have been in my stash for 30 years. I am buying what I need for specific projects. BUT I am not putting hard parameters on myself. Reading-I am making myself read/listen to more new books than revisiting old favorites. Happy 2025!
I have to force myself to listen to more books as well -- and to read all the physical books as well. I've gotten real lax about reading since I started working full time again.
My only regret is that I didn't get an Advent! I'm with you on the rest of the BS! I'm sure there is a movie quote about folllowing someone into hell but I can't think of it right now but I'm right beside you! thanks for the Podcasts. Jane. ps I have 15 fo's!
You know, I go back and forth on whether to get an advent (or 3...) every year. I have yet to knit the complete advents from the last two years and doubt I'll cast on anything with this year's advents for a while. They are fun to get, but the jury is still out on whether I'll continue to get them.
I am tempted by that sweatshirt, but find that I rotate between a few of my handknit sweaters as "sweatshirts". My buying strategy is simply - buy only from folks I am certain are not MAGAts.
@@Bobbleheadknits it’s going to be a long four years. I’m drowning myself in knitting. I’m going to Md Sheep and Wool and The Knit Girllls SSK. DON’T CARE! 😂
@@recreationalknittingpodcast Oh, SSK is on my bucket list! You have to tell me all about it. (And it's like you're reading my mind about the next four years....)
I find it really hard to fix mistakes in the Incredible Blanket. It's like brioche but not. Do you have any tips? I have SO many WIPs from the previous years. I want to make a dent this year but I already found a new cast on I'm starting on January 20th. I might be hopeless 🤣

Hi Karen, I love your 2025 goal that is my kind of plan 😜.
Happy New Year to you and your family 🎉 xx
I too am planning on doing whatever the hell I want in 2025!!😂
It's going to be an epic year of knitting!

I usually don't like sweatshirts, but I have a couple I love, including this one.
Your goal is genius. I’m in!
I would love to have you join me! It's just going to be a free for all!
Hope you dan make it to the Cast On Party for the Sox-Along-2025
I'm going to try to. I have my yarn all ready to go!
The sweatshirt is pretty epic!
Yes, she did a great job. I've discovered if you just tell her very specifically what you want she'll get it for you....
This is fun, I wish I knew how to crochet. I'm a new subscriber 😊
Welcome! I wish I knew how to crochet too! I've tried to learn a few times but haven't gotten the hang of it.
I’m in as well. I’m gonna do ❤whatever I want for a while. Don’t care. 😂
Yep! Pretty much going to run amok all of 2025.
