Another suggestion to prevent the gate wires from getting tangled... a 4' stick of 1/2" pvc with 1/16'" holes to let the wires pass through.

I guess that no respectable bear would dare visit your Homestead. Cougar is on bear duty, and you’ve always got the .260 Rem next to you and now an electrified fence. This makes for great bear repellant. Fantastic video, Man!!

Find a old(but running)gas weedeater. Weld a circular saw blade on the end for cutting the small saplings, grass and small limbs around n below your Elec fence. I customized a pc of steel (old 55 gal drum or cut in half a old cast iron frying pan in a C shape) for a safety shield incase the blade ever broke off at high speed lol.

I'd love to see a bear checking that fence. They learn quick to back away from wire. Maybe they can smell it. We used those plastic handles on our E-fence at the end of our laneway. They only shock you if its raining. A little work with a weed eater would clear away a lot of snags and shorts under the fence. That's what I did. I also used a fencer battery but what you have is way superior. Great video, keep your gun nearby. Peace.

Just a thought for your cable gate. if you twist up some sections of 9 gauge wire (about 4 feet long - starting with about an 8 foot piece of wire) you could weave the cables through it at the appropriate widths and twist it tight to lock them into position. This would connect all lines together making them all hot until you disconnect all 4 handles, but it would keep them organized and make it into one single unit to lay on the ground. Chances of getting "zapped" may go up, but could possibly be easier to deal with.

You need a perpindicular hooking post for your loose gate ends x 4. A short distance post to temporarily hook the gate ends to prior to closing it. Has to be far enough away from the original gate post to allow you to step around it to the other side and reach and close the gate with the hooks. Not too far away when going out of the enclosed area and still be able to reach over the prior hooked handles of the the gate.

I would think that everyone of those ground outs around your fence pulls extra power from your battery. For this to be efficient you really do need to clear away anything from touching it. I would also have looked at the solar fence charger for horses as those require No outside power and charge themselves. Great video keep em coming!
