You mention at one point extremes of emotion, which I can understand. Having recently received a life-saving organ transplant often I'm elated to have more years of life but at times there are hardships and great pain. Sometimes it's so bad I think maybe it makes no sense to suffer through life like this. So, there you have it: Extreme emotion. However, assume for a moment these extremes take place on my hospital bed. My guest who has nothing left to say is on a chair nearby and sees no change in me as I flip through my magazine. I wonder if by extremes of emotion is meant actual emotions or extremes of displayed emotion?
@@leafyconcern I just finished it! It's great, yeah. I feel like it was even better because I've been to Taipei. I'm thinking of the novel he published recently next. Thanks for being a conduit of great books
Definitely gonna check out Greenwell. I also picked up a copy of Vox based on your love for Nicholson Baker. Thanks for the great recs as always!
@@valpergalit vox more of a challenging start than some others, but it’s still absolutely great. Happy reading!

@@jamesduggan7200 thanks for offering this key distinction. I may have slipped and said one when the other more rightly applied!
You sound like you would be a good tenor in a barbershop quartet
@@vf00 I’m flattered that you say this!
