This was my first job when I was 16. Also, 19 years later, it's still my favorite restaurant. The food is totally off the chain. Nothing like it anywhere else in the world.
Had it for dinner last night and just finished it for lunch at work. Never watched the episode. Anyone questioning if they should go or not, do yourself a favor. DO IT
I love everything this place serves, one of those "local" favorite for decades. One of those places out of towners and others just drive right by without even knowing how good the food is!
I've been to this place a few times; we live all the way across the country but I have family in the area still and whenever I go to Phoenix this place has a standing spot on my itinerary.
Ate there today for the first time after living in the valley for 14 years....and I'm really mad I've never eaten here before and I'm already looking for a reason to go back. :)
David, I feel you, brother! I've been so down ever since they closed the Chandler location and the north Phoenix location is so far away-- we don't make it up to that area of the valley all that often.
Now that's one restaurant i would love to go to just looking at all the different food that i even cook myself in one restaurant breakfast lunch and dinner.
I have a belly full of chino bandido right now, and I can second his recommendation. Get the jerk chicken for some spice, jade red for the flavor, and jerk fried rice for the added umph. Either style beans are delicious!
Live down the road from this place and eat their every once and a while its soo good. Edit they just moved locations to a much larger store front just down the road off bell road still the same quality food and would still recommend.
this is a damn cool concept, in which im surprised more restaurants haven't started using over the years, i'd sure go for this about everyday if it was in my area.
My wife and I live in Chandler, AZ, and sometimes get out to Arcadia, CA, where there are a lot of Asians-- my wife's Chinese family lives out in Arcadia and surrounding areas; sadly there is no evidence of any place like Chino Bandido existing in a place like the Arcadia/Azusa area.
I just randomly stumbled on this place when I was driving through that part of town. Since this came out, they got a new sign with a hilarious mascot on it (a panda dressed as a Mexican gunfighter), so I had to try it. The two flavors work surprising well together. I had the bigger bowl, white rice with Pollo Diablo and Jade Ren Chicken. It came with a pretty decent snickerdoodle.
In this video I as a Chef can honestly say that Chinese food ranks up there because of the diversity between northern and southern food and there is a difference then there is French which happens to be very expensive so most people opt out for Chinese food because it's very affordable and even when you look at Chinese fried rice you can add anything to it and make a complete meal as I learned growing up in HONOLULU Hawaii and I don't make it Chinese style because they cheat and my recipe is so easy long grain rice onions celery carrots scallions oyster sauce kikkoman soy sauce sesame oil and you can add beef pork chicken seafood basically anything with eggs too top and don't go to a Chinese takeout or restaurant because they will rip you off cut your costs and it's a very simple dish and it won't take long to make about 30 minutes and try and stay away from steamed rice but if you want it then go for it but rice is the staple in Asian people like potatoes or pasta and the Asian people eat a lot of vegetables usually water chestnuts bean sprouts green peapods baby corn straw mushrooms many different types of veggies high emphasis very good diet and when you go to a Chinese restaurant you will notice 1 thing they use frozen veggies cheap and stay away from there pastas as they are cheap SINGAPORE MAI FUN is a thin noodle with veggies pork chicken and baby shrimp for 12.50 not worth it make it yourself lol cheaper at a fraction of the cost and the CHINESE PEOPLE are known to go to the supermarket and make it at home and people think that Chinese food you need a Wok you don't just a saute pan pot of hot water and your sauce plate and serve dinner is served 123 done deal and most Chinese people drink tea or CHA
I think it would be a good idea to open a restaurant serving a fusion of southern soul food and mexican. The name of restaurant would be Nacho Mama! Home of the collard greens burrito and the double-fried black-eyed peas!
I come here every year multiple times when I come on vacation. Here’s my go to order for anyone that wants to try: Combo: pollo diablo and emerald chicken, with black beans and pork fried rice. W/side of carnitas quesadilla (you have to use the sauce they make in the little plastic containers for the quesadilla) Let me know if you try it
my dad designed their catering vans a few years ago, owner is an amazing lady. they had me and my brother watch tv while they had a meeting at her house, the tv had a child lock. we couldn’t change the channel and there was a weird horny show on. we didn’t wanna say anything bc they were busy but they finally noticed where there was moaning coming from the tv. weird childhood memory. sad to say they moved locations and the restaurant is not as good as it used to be
This place is dope, I thought it's just a prank sold to Americans who neither know real Chinese food or Mexican food. Tried it last weekend at their new location, and the food is legit for the price charged. The food there is so much better than Panda Express, it's truly a gem in the valley.
A lot of Chinese came to New York after the Cuban Revolution, and of course they started restaurants. They were called, "Comidas Chinas y Latinas." (Spelling?) It was Caribbean Latin food Chinese style, and Chinese dishes with Caribbean spices. It was great stuff.
@SG I would recommend finding somewhere else to go! This place has gone sooooo down hill since becoming popular. They are coasting on their reputation and the food is smaller, worse quality, inconsistent taste, and just not good anymore. It's a shame, too - ten years ago I went there once every two weeks. Now, never again. Three bad/just not good experiences in a row and no more chances to the ol' Bandido.
Last person I saw with a unique menu like that was on the first season episode of Kitchen Nightmares called Sebastian’s. He was delusional at least this looks delicious
Ate there yesterday, and it was so delicious! Line was almost out the door on a cold Saturday night, but it was worth the wait. The red chicken with fried rice was killer, and the veggie quesadilla is elevated to a ridiculous level. Totally deserving of being on Triple D. Every order came with a homemade snickerdoodle cookie 😀.
Jesus their food looks damn good! Never even considered mixing the two together! And I love Mexican and chinese food.. and still haven't tried Caribbean foods yet! 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️
this is my comfort food place. i go here when i want some great food and a stomach ache for the rest of the night lol (greasy). ive only had quality issues twice out of many visits.(meat was off looking) still didnt make me sick.. you know what.. im gonna drive and get me some jade red chicken, diablo chicken, and the jen red pork nom
I used to live a mile down the road from here. Ate there a few times. Not a huge fan of most of the food but the Chile relleno is absolutely phenomenal.
Mexican and Chinese Food can't be beat! We eat that shit cause it's off da hook and people luv it! I ain't mad at her cause she's doin' somethin' right to be around 17 years! Keep doin' ya thang cause ya doin' it well! And Guy is givin' his stamp of approval and it means it's certified good and yummy! And Jamaican Jerk Chicken wit' it! It's da shit! Lawd Hav Mercy! Nuff Said!
This was my first job when I was 16. Also, 19 years later, it's still my favorite restaurant. The food is totally off the chain. Nothing like it anywhere else in the world.
Jerk chicken "named after a yet unknown customer" 😂
This.... This hit me like a ton of bricks. It took a hot second to connect the dots. But I got there.
Had it for dinner last night and just finished it for lunch at work. Never watched the episode. Anyone questioning if they should go or not, do yourself a favor. DO IT
Fdny
No you didnt
I'm glad I live 20 minutes from this place.
Meanwhile virtually impossible for me to taste 😂

My buddy took me once. But it was a drive I’m from Peoria lol

I love everything this place serves, one of those "local" favorite for decades. One of those places out of towners and others just drive right by without even knowing how good the food is!
This place is too good. If you ever come here to Phoenix, AZ this is a must.
Finally!! a process of unique cooking methods that Guy isn't listing before its actually done.
I live in Phoenix and I've never heard of this place till now! Looks like I have to plan a visit there. :D
5:48 he just say winner winner chicken dinner? Hot damn
I lived across the street for 16 years and didn't know it existed.
I can see why
This is the kind of place that nearly every American would love.
Yes!!!!!
i'm sold. passing through phoenix on friday, ill be eating here.
I've been to this place a few times; we live all the way across the country but I have family in the area still and whenever I go to Phoenix this place has a standing spot on my itinerary.
for the first time in my life. I actually drooled from watching something.
Went here for my first time today. new favorite!!!
Its like a drunken refrigerator raid for all the leftovers.
I lived in phoneix for 4 months and I ate here totally worth the trip
Ate there today for the first time after living in the valley for 14 years....and I'm really mad I've never eaten here before and I'm already looking for a reason to go back. :)
Being hungry is a good reason
David, I feel you, brother! I've been so down ever since they closed the Chandler location and the north Phoenix location is so far away-- we don't make it up to that area of the valley all that often.
Its so good here.
Now that's one restaurant i would love to go to just looking at all the different food that i even cook myself in one restaurant breakfast lunch and dinner.
I would try every single combo at least once man damn, how they keep up is beyond me, respect!!!!...
That made me happy and joyous.
I went to this place every day for a entire week! Chino Bandito's is very good, always got the emerald chicken!
I have a belly full of chino bandido right now, and I can second his recommendation. Get the jerk chicken for some spice, jade red for the flavor, and jerk fried rice for the added umph. Either style beans are delicious!
The cookies are mind blowing 😁
Live just around the corner. Took 3 years to come in. Now its a once a month stop! This place rocks! 7-9 w/Jerk Rice and Black beans all day beh beh!

You can’t tell me the owner isn’t related to joe Biden 😂
OMG I was wondering who the owner looked like also. Hahahahaah
They may look similar but Biden wouldn’t be able to order a #1 from McDonalds let alone understand this ordering system.
I came to this video to get away from politics. 😩

Seriously the BEST black bean burritos!!!! They are amazing!!
Eat at the Chandler location every time I go to the Phoenix area. Never disappoints.
They should do an al pastor fried rice... I’d kill for some of that...
"Masian" 😂 two of the best cuisines mixed ... Beautiful ❤️ i believe food has rhe power to unite us all and be happy and peaceful
Chinese and Mexican? I have found the unicorn.
DO not forget jamacian
@@grennysohail Korean and Mexican fusion is really good also! Nothing like a Spicy pork burrito.
Getting this for lunch today
Love this place. I’ll always remember stopping by with my Baseball teammates. They finally changed locations, but the food is still great.
Been there twice, and going again this week on another trip to Phx!
I LOVE this place!! ♥
I tried this the first time last week after living in Peoria/Phoenix for 8 years. So good

They need to franchise this place! Yum!
What is the third "secret" oil this sneaky chinese cook put in that "jade red chicken" recipe?.
"The oil......into the........" proof he's not really familiar with wok cooking that blends the different food together, fundamentally good cooking.
gotta check this place out if I ever make it to pheonix
3:21 Holy shit that technique is so awesome! I'm using that every time I make chinese food chicken! Seriously MIB
Like the Jeff Smith reference, " Hot wok, cold oil, food won't stick.
It's so good

It is awesome it's like 30 minutes from my house love that place eat there on a daily
