I have been wintering for the past four years, in and out of hospital, but in between bouts I have written two books. I just got out of the hospital two weeks ago and hope to start my third book in January. You are an inspiration. Thank you for your recommitment and I hope you find joy. ❤
I hope you're feeling better Kristie and wishing you a speedy recovery. Hospitals aren't fun and I've seen the inside of way too many of them over the last two years with my dad. 2022 is going to be your year, I just know it.

Hey Courtney, I"m so glad to see this video! I don't need writing gloves, but I wanted to say yay you for celebrating yourself, taking care of you, and committing to getting things done, whatever those things turn out to be. I'm in a totally different place than you--other than being Texan--but it often feels to me like you and I are kinda rowing in the same direction. I know what it's like to miss yourself.
Also, I wanted to let you know that you being yourself and so generous with what goes on behind the scenes with you has helped me sort out some big issues I've had with using a pen name or not. I've decided yes, and as soon as I'd decided, the most perfect one came into my head, just immediately. It's one of those things where if I'd "known" about that name, I would have decided to use it regardless of what I "thought" I should do about pen names in general, and then I wouldn't ever have been as confident using it as I do after really going through the process, you know? I think you do. My life's like that. Mom says the worst things happen to me in the best way possible. As long as things keep happening, it's fine with me.

Super grateful for your writing sprints and all your kindly shared information about the self-publishing industry. Prepping for NaNo and then NaNo itself was made much easier thereby.
