    My older brother was 13 when he said he was running away it was the middle of the night he walked to the end of the street (my mom watched him closely the entire time) when a dog barking scared him and he ran back to the house.

      We all did that. The saddest one I heard were my friends who tried to run away in their preteens because they felt their mom was beating them to much. She followed them closely and until they stopped then she had a loving conversation with them. Some time later they were preparing to go out. She had a stroke. Their dad took her to the hospital but she never got better. She died a month later. It always makes me think. I told them to tell people because it helps me to hear it and it stopped my cousin from doing the same. #ShareIt #TrueStory

    I'm sure if 80% of these parent's asked their children for help with whatever it was they wanted help with, their kids would have helped. I know if I had a shit ton of money and my mom asked me to help pay for something for her, I would-no questions asked. But if she stole it from me, I'd react the same way as these kids did too.

      Gottenburg were not just talking a couple of 100 dollars to use or borrow, they are literally stealing the money that the kid earned not them. If you worked for months to earn 500 bucks and your mom said “oh I gave you life and raised you” she’s allowed to just take it from you? I don’t thinks so.

    • @iBeFloe
      @iBeFloe 6 років тому +15

      Stealing thousands of dollars from your kid's labor isn't taking out a "few 100 dollars" for yourself.
      You're using your child at that point.

    • @emmcmullen9109
      @emmcmullen9109 6 років тому +11

      Exactly. I can only imagine if my boyfriend was a child star. His parents stole money from him when he was a teenager just working a regular job and his mom had access to his bank account until he was 27 and I let him know that it wasn't normal. Money turns people into monsters and some are monsters already and money makes it worse.

My mom is bipolar and doesn't take medication. she doesn't realize how abusive she is, she thinks she has the right to treat me however she wants because she's my mom yet demands I respect her. sometimes people get crappy parents and you have to cut them out of your life for your own health.

    also parents shouldn't be their kid's managers, being a parent doesn't automatically make you a qualified manager or a qualified accountant.
    parents are the managers for their children because it costs money to hire a manager

    Watching this video makes it easier for me to break up the contact with my mother, who always hit me when she was drunk. It took me over 10 years of physical and emotional abuse, but seeing these kids do that for financial reasons makes it easier for me to do it. I really get them. Those kind of parents are just selfish, keeping up those kind of relationships is just toxic.

  • @faithruckdeschel1294

    Selena Gomez didn't hear any lip from her mom, because of 2 reasons, IMO. She was actually feeling guilty for what her and her hubby did, or she didn't want to create turmoil between Selena and herself, because that ruin the lifestyle she became accustomed to. These parents are jerks for overcompensating themselves thru their children. I may not have celebrity children, but my family loves and looks out for each other. I feel like most of these greedy parents felt like, because they had their children, their children owed them for bringing them into the world. Their children didn't ask to be born. Ijs

      Dean Morrow interesting point. My guess is that a child victim's lawyer has to put it to use. All laws can be broken. Then you go to court to collect the damages (money) from the (criminal) parents. People break laws every day. It is up to someone like a lawyer, judge, policeman or woman to put the law into effect. I guess it isn't done by the Holy Spirit. This is where humans need to put laws into use. Don't know if this is true with the Ten Commandments.😜

    • @rachellarei8049
      @rachellarei8049 7 років тому +10

    I remember running away from home packing the small saddle bag on my bike, hair blowing in the wind free as a bird peddling faster every second thinking, this will teach my mum n dad a lesson, loving every second of my new found freedom, no parents to tell me what time to be in or to tidy my bedroom, then.......... in a split second the realisation of what I had done sunk in, I got off my bike sat at the roadside and cried so hard I thought my heart would burst, how could I have left Kenny at home he would miss me so much, I simply had to go back, the thought of him there on his own made me cry so hard, went in the door n my mum said oh so. You are back to say sorry then, I looked at her defiantly and said no I’m back coz Kenny needs me here, who in God’s name is Kenny, I hung my head and said no wonder I ran away you don’t even know my best friends name, Kenny is my Teddy mummy and he needs me you made me so angry I forgot all about him; I was only 7yrs old I’m now 51 and it seems like yesterday............... Oh btw Kenny has got the best spot on my bed these days ............. true. Story xxx 🌸🌼🌸🌼🌸🌼

    I'm not famous but I've had my mom steal from me when I was working as a teen. She also would pawn my things when I went to school, while she was gambling with my money I was getting picked on at school for wearing the same clothes every week (I only had 3 outfits). It truly sucks, especially if you would give your last dime to your parent if they would ask and not lie or steal. I think it is ok to cut off ties with people who steal from/hurt you.

  • @inaheiland2744

    All the fame and money in the world is not worth the innocence of a child. Honestly, I'd prefer that my kid cure diseases than be in movies. Of course I'll support on what she or he decides to do. That don't mean I'm not going to nudge them in a certain direction.

    Separating from your parents as your managers is basic common sense. Sure as a child it's fine- but the parents didn't have the connections, power, or weight to throw around to propel Selena past where she was at.
    Parents of child actors should expect that- hopefully you got your child into acting for them- not yourself.

      There's a difference between YOU spoiling them and them STEALING from you. I love my parents dearly and would give them the world for all they've done for me, but I wouldn't forgive them stealing from me. If you need money, ask me. I'd very likely give it to them, no questions asked. Just don't take too much advantage.

    If I saw that my parents took hundreds of thousands from my bank account I would take them to court and file a lawsuit against them, not stopping til I get it back. Like I get that parents go through a lot raising their son but if they want my money they can ask, not steal it, thanks.

    The parents literally have to end their own careers and focus on taking their kids to practice, classes, school, auditions, sets, etc while still maintaining their home, bills and everything else on no other income so their has to be some sort of financial arrangements or it’s only possible for the rich and famous to have a shot in the business. As a parent, I chose to tell my talented child that we couldn’t pursue her dream of being a performer, for now because too many children end up as screwed up adults when they are child stars because they aren’t actually emotionally or mentally prepared for that level of fame (prime example: Britany Spears and Amanda Bynes). Even though she has the talent and the looks, I refuse to ruin her before she has a real chance to enjoy life as a kid.

    OMG some of this parents steal the money from their children no wonder they ending up sue them and stuff what's the matter with you people I mean Billy's dad take the money of his son's account to buy an apartment to his girlfriend why he can't afford it himself with HIS money I suppose he has a job and Leighton's mother really for plastic surgery you use your daughter's money she worked so hard to get the only ones that are safe in this list are the mother and stepfather of Selena Gomez she didn't reject them she just wanted to find herself on her own. at least these celebrities sue them despite of being their parents what kind of people stole money from their own children they don't have a job or what.

    When I was a child, I wanted to be rich so that I could take care of my family, especially my parents. Kids are fifty times more generous than adults. For that reason, I believe that if the parents had only asked for the money and kept open communication about it, the kids would have gladly given it. Instead, they snuck around, stole, cheated and lied. Glad these kids got away.

    Being a parent is a privilege, not a right. If you want respect, you have to give respect. Abandoning, mistreating or exploiting your children (including stealing from them) is wrong and unless you make a point of changing and making amends you do not deserve the title of "parent".
