The first guitar is sublimely beautiful and this is the first guitar I would embrace all the tuning features. The build quality is stunning and that look is gorgeous. I'm sure it will be far out of reach price wise for myself but if i ever had enough money I would buy it certainly. I wish the company every success for building such a beautiful guitar.
Relish guitars actually sound beautiful and are very high quality instruments but if you want 1 be prepared to shell out about 4k for a new 1. The high end Relish guitars are about 6k. Whether you like them or not, 1 thing is undeniable, they are great sounding instruments.
If you pull/press the tone pot 4 times, then begin playing Stairway to Heaven,it activates guitar’s Claymore Anti-Personal Mine feature which detonates directly into the players abdomen as the last note is played.
I liked both the guitars demo'd in this video.Might pick up the Phantom Jane when it's available. But,most of what these guitars can do (and some things they can't) I can do with my Line 6 Variax, which is a much more reasonably priced axe.You can get a USA-made Tyler Variax (if you can find one) and a Helix for what one of these Relish guitars cost. But I'm a sucker for all these kind of guitars (I've had Steinberger,Parker, and even a Tuffnel) so I'm always excited to see a potential new tool.
The black one looks really nice , the cleans on the blue one wow , it sounds so true almost too good , an those acoustic type tones the piezo sounds better in this than guitars I’ve played (electric)
all the features are really cool but it seems like it needs some kind of screen and/or buttons rather than trying to remember all of the strum this then turn the knob etc - it might not look as cool to the audience but it would make it a lot easier to use- also it would be cool if it had usb audio. MIDI built in
I haven't got a problem with all the tech but it needs a touch screen operating system built in the body. No point in having multifunctional nobs everywhere it's just confusing.
I made a really mean comment about Jason's style of presenting on another video... I said his style was contrived and dull, and I really dug in...... and I realized, not only was I just in a bad mood and irritable.... but also I realized that there is absolutely nothing wrong with his style... in fact he's really personable and you can tell he loves this shit..... I hope he didn't read it, and if he did o hope he knows that it came from a place of sleepiness and jealousy really. In reality, the Dude kills it, and brings us the good every time.
They sure stuck a lot of stuff stuck into that computer... I wonder, is the top some kind of actual wood, if it is I like the black with the white grain cover on the first one.
The one thing I would change about the first guitar is by putting tuning pegs on it, instead of the planetary tuners. It's cool to mess around with, but I would have little to no use for them.
This company gave me a link to have 4 American guitarists in my network (including Gwen Stefani's) "customize" guitars they would supposedly receive to help the brand expand, just 4, and now will not honor the offer but have all their addresses. The owner, instead of working with us, blocked us on LinkedIn so I have reported the company to Social Media sites and consumer affairs in the US and Switzerland so they may review all of the emails, especially current to new musicians. It's not Covid related, only 4 guitars, and we feel the company is offering new players the same link so able to deliver and not out of business. To block us as the solution - this all falls under false marketing.
einarabelc5 you weren't here at the start when I posted it. Also, what makes technology too complicated? I'm sure your smartphone or computer is more than easy enough to understand, considering you could post this comment
Capo? The device that clamps on the neck? Nah. The real reason guitar players use an capo isn't just the tuning, it's to also change the *technique* for playing something
So, the body is just an enclosure for all the electronics hidden inside, it doesn't plays much of a part regarding to sound, like in a traditional solid body electric guitar.
@@imanagemydamage All the sound is from the PUs. They cannot 'hear' compression waves which is when you hit something with something and the sound-waves traverse through the medium ie...hitting a dustbin lid with a heavy stick. PUs detect an interference in a magnetic field so like the string vibrating through the magnetic coil or ring around the PUs magnet and copper wire. The copper wire then induces a tiny minuscule voltage which goes out through the output jack into the amplifier to the spkrs. The PUs don't detect the compression waves traveling through the solid body guitar which you can feel and hear loudly id you put your ear to the body. Semi hollow guitars usually have an inside mic to detect these also which are then mixed with the signal which gives the best sound from an electric guitar I think.
@@MICKEYISLOWD nicely said my friend, thank you. I'd just like to ask, I know the pickups won't pickup vibrations directly from the body itself, but, wouldn't the strings be affected by the vibrating body? They got to be, at least to some extent, don't they?
I wouldn't call myself "stuck in the past" as I run MIDI pickups, a Kemper, and all sorts of modern tech, but all I kept thinking through this demo was "this is a disaster waiting to happen". Too many options, with very little visual feedback. Even Mr Nordegg got it wrong a couple of times, and he helped to design it... For me, it's interesting, but not appealing.
A guitar by itsself already has a butload of options. At least it has 6 strings and 22 frets, no indication of what the notes are but some dots. And yet is it played and loved by many, its called skill through repetition and practice, you should try it.
If i had 8 grand i'd but one of these today. Alas i dont so i guess im stuck with my bootleg 1958 gibson pickup epiphone les paul ultra and simon lutier acousitc. Hey you sweeds want to trade?
I am not sure I love all this tech. The guitar is a tool; a simple expression of something complex that comes from the player. That said, I love the capo function to get into higher ranges than what is possible in conventional tuning.
As a tool for a studio or session musician, it can be a game changer. Especially if they travel. One rugged guitar with literally thousands of tones and styles, without pedals and cables and all the other bulk. Also, think about the uses for a progressive rock musician who explores all the weird stuff.
A smartguitar, huh? Cool, this is my kinda thing. Now I can pretend the CIA hacked my guitar and just blame them any time I suck at playing in front of people.
(Swiss accent here) ..."And it vill fellate you if you heet de button- Handeh if you need relief from de Holiday Inn geeg dat yoo vill be playing foah de vest of yoah life to pay for dis puppy...!"
This is me just looking towards the floor and shaking my head. Now, I have to ask because it is very very possible. "Do you think that guy plays guitar at all???????"
This guitar should be in every studio to speed up production and drastically reduce costs ect for having every conceivable sound on tap also invaluable for a touring band who need many guitar and banjo style sounds on tap at the flick of a dial. Yet... having said this, the guy forgets half his information and cheat sheets to rhyme of many of the features whilst he has a video camera rolling here at a show that everyone there is a potential buyer or stockist...what a plonker. I would be well rehearsed and have though of everything to bring with me including some attractive girls who also know all about music and this great product ffs! Eyes half closed is not good EVER when you are in competition here.
While I admire pushing the envelope, this is a stupid idea. Putting all that tech into a guitar body is not a great decision. For one thing, it may be quickly obsolete. It will be difficult to repair. You've got internal 9v batteries which have to be changed and can corrode. The digital input jacks will be obsolete eventually. The manufacturers of the guitar or the components may go out of business, etc..... Most of the similar attempts at incorporating synths on board and the like from the 1980's are basically unusable anymore and were ditched for more simple add on's, which i think is a lesson well learned. Best to keep the body simple and run these types of effects externally. This kind of thing will also never hold value, a consideration for a guitar costing several thousand dollars
There's a long history of obsolete on-board guitar technology that becomes orphaned. Beyond the simple requirements of a pickup, volume pots, and strings, history has shown that throwing the kitchen sick at proprietary onboard electronics is not a solid strategy. There's literally dozens of on board synths from the 1970's and 1980's that can't be played anymore. It's much simpler to use a removable add-on that can be discarded to make the instrument more future proof
Jeremey King not only ugly but just stupid looking. The fact that the designer of that guitar got paid and probably paid well is just an example of how out of touch guitar companies have become.
Sunk72 they sure did spend a lot of time on the looks for that not being the point. Once again I agree with you, I miss the point completely. What technology? Pots caps magnets and wires. That's all a guitar is, people have tried and failed. The electric guitar is the electric guitar. Not a computer. Keep wasting money and though, idc
Yeah right, it's "basically"a variax. I love it when americans use the word "basically". They assume everybody is as stupid as them, they cant handle the normal or advanced explanation, typical Murica.
Christ sakes,,, the more crap you put in,,,, the more problems you're going to have! So many electronic components to fail! Keep it simple to create genuine sound and show your real talent!
Interesting concept. Just wayyy too much for one guitar. Not too practical. I just wanna plug in and play. Plus all those electronics plus sweat on stage equals guaranteed failure
Should really have someone that can speak English decent and only one person who explains and plays at the same time. I watched this video but have no idea what this guitar can actually do

Serious guitar evolution with so many smart uses of tech kudos.

i think its incredible,i would love one and im 53
I confess, I'm stuck in the past - wouldn't be caught dead with this thing.
This will be a nice edition to go with my vintage strat i bought this year...super future with super retro! I want one!
Switzerland - country known for it's innovations in electric and music making
And knives.
Ultimate studio guitar. Wow.
Piezo sounds better than most plugged in acoustics I've heard. No capo needed too. Amazing.
This is a brilliant concept. For an advanced player it could be the dream come true like Dr Viossi..
If you pull/press the tone pot 4 times, then begin playing Stairway to Heaven,it activates guitar’s Claymore Anti-Personal Mine feature which detonates directly into the players abdomen as the last note is played.
Great guitar! I want one!
I loved the guitars. Really innovative without being ugly.
That is amazing.
Had to see this demo! :)

It looks like an outstanding product but guitars like this that have had technology built in have not been big sellers in the past.
😲 AMAZING!🎸👍🏿
Cool! And beautiful.
Should have shown the model where you can pull the pickups and replace them while you're playing.
Man, that's pretty cool. I think I'd get options paralysis, but it would be fun!
Damn this is a badass concept!!!
Holy shit this is cool
Sounds great..
this is awesome
I want this kinda electronical thingy on a gitar with Mayones Regius shape.
Sounds pretty decent compared to some of the other 'variax-y' stuff. Dig the looks as well!
Excellent. I want one.

Pretty cool dude that's what you call man-n-up don't see that everyday
Amazing
I would buy one
I like it
This guitar does too many things for me to ever understand
Pretty sure the guitarist from dream theater has a Sig model with piazo or whatever it is
OCTAVER DOWN
They sure stuck a lot of stuff stuck into that computer... I wonder, is the top some kind of actual wood, if it is I like the black with the white grain cover on the first one.
Cool voice

Did this ever actually get released? I know there's the Relish guitar with interchangeable pickups out now, but this seems much cooler.
I think it’s either the Mary 1 or just the Jane but it’s different color

I need this
It would be awesome if they made basses as well
Ever wonder why guitarists are known for being stuck in the past? Read these comments
The shape and appearance isn't drawing any inspiration out of me.
Luke Walker Ever wonder why technology fails? Because it's too complicated.
The funny thing is, most comments state they like it.
einarabelc5 you weren't here at the start when I posted it. Also, what makes technology too complicated? I'm sure your smartphone or computer is more than easy enough to understand, considering you could post this comment
I agree man, to be successful today means embracing tech and trends! I think this sort of innovation is keeping me in business!
Jump to present (5 years later)...Who plays one?!
the only think i like on this guitar is the finish
Dayum, so complicated.
if I bought that guitar my wife would probably knock it over and my dog would probably wizz on it.... like happens with everything nice I get
hang them on the wall,my les paul broke a headstock from some Luddite, now i have 10 guitars hanging up
You must have married my ex-wife... Hahaha
This model looks better than the Mary One.
This guitar just killed capo
Capo? The device that clamps on the neck? Nah. The real reason guitar players use an capo isn't just the tuning, it's to also change the *technique* for playing something
The second guitar looks like a Mylar balloon. Who doesn't love balloons?

90% of the tone provide pickups, so what's the deal

I want one... Eventhough I can't afford it and definitely lack the skills to make use of 10% of the features they've built into it.
Do you need a license to play it?
Show Relish Guitars!

I think the technology is getting there it's great but there's nothing like a good Les Paul good Strat and I prefer a Taylor guitar for acoustic
cool...
Send one to Lee Anderton and Rob Chapman!! With a great review (and there's no freaking way it won't get one) it could be something truly huge.
All been done before, they call them synthesizers.
If i had 8 grand i'd but one of these today. Alas i dont so i guess im stuck with my bootleg 1958 gibson pickup epiphone les paul ultra and simon lutier acousitc. Hey you sweeds want to trade?
ou my god thats perfect i dont have to change guitar to drop d g and lower shit
"Deey de deey de deey" :)
I'd buy one but, never use it on stage, the more tech the more goes wrong and they forgot to upgrade the pic. LOL.
how very similar to the 'line 6 shuriken'
Having to spin knobs while trying to play completely limits what you could do with those effects.
This is a flawed concept in my opinion
Its between songs smartass

Does not the elder guy look a bit like Keith Richards? Besides, this guitar should end the everlasting debate about tonewoods.........
Oh nice a Manson for Matt Bellamy
Onboard stuff is just that...'stuff'. I will take the $400 Ibanez with the Chaos Pad. I dance, so pedals don't bother me.
Guitar with mousepad 😁 cool!
Looks like one only Matt Bellamy can use.
Remember before all the tricks you had to actually rely only on your playing?
Not many things on this guitar if at all are a crutch for bad playing
Just take Les Paul pic and free transform it in ur Photoshop. Here u go...new design
A smartguitar, huh? Cool, this is my kinda thing. Now I can pretend the CIA hacked my guitar and just blame them any time I suck at playing in front of people.

Great guitar and video, pity that ginger guy's voice is so loud and clipping the mic! No need to shout into it!

Too complicated for me!
I like the body shape but the headstock is quite ugly and generic.
Hang on, I gotta charge my guitar... 😂. Just give me a Tele.
What a horrible presentation! Too much talk, too little sound. Why don't you let the guitar talk?
That body is so thin.
How does it sound clean? OMG! It's got auto tune. LMAO
My goodness. Pretty soon a guitar will not need a human to play it, just oil it and go. See ya in the past where real guitars live.
Too many electronics, too many batteries …
Tell that to your wife.
Ugly, but seems like a technological wonder.
