- I recently saw this movie, plus I knew I had this Lux Radio Theater adaptation in very good sound quality. It's another story that's perfect as a "Movie for your MIND," especially with Charles Laughton.

This story has two flaws. One, the police had no reason to suspect his wife’s murder. Two, the police had no reason to suspect Simon’s wife. The police seam to love hanging Everyone!!!🤣

Hi Charles! Some bad news here. After 4 1/2 years on UA-cam and with no copyright strikes or community guideline strikes they have totally demonitized my channel with no explanation as to why. I am sort of devastated right now. I have not lost the channel but all of a sudden no income from it. Really sucks!

Dennis Morrison Why does that not surprise me...yeah I just noticed they did the same to HorrorBabble, and Ian depends on that $$ (as do many others) as his only source of income. And all the affected channels I know of so far have been around awhile and post several times a week. Thx UA-cam... hopefully we'll find another way to share the joy of the audio experience. The audience may not be as large as PewDiePie or Creepypastas but we're fiercely devoted listeners. Guess YT wants to draw the preteen audience that thinks that s**t is "art" 😭...a true crying shame.

@@SuspenseESCAPEremastered Yes it is Thomas Mitchell. He is even announced and given credit as the guest producer in the opening comments. Thomas Mitchell did a great deal of radio work, both in narration and starring roles. He had one of those "Million Dollar Voices", in addition to being a great Actor. Who could ever forget his memorable role as the father of Scarlett O'Hara in "Gone With the Wind".

Shelly Winters, a fine even great actress, disdained Laughton. She was well known as a method actress; in fact, she taught the "method" at the end of her career.
She spoke most unfavorably of "reciting" being without true artistic value. Pretty, perhaps, but not as esteemed as ACTING .
