A simple thing I do when naming session folders is adding X BPM at the end of the title. When its time to add tempo metadata for sync placement for example, its a time saver.
I do the same thing also. However, I name each sample, trac_k, seq and program and also save it on the mpc live 2's internal 1 terabyte ssd drive.

Great information! Really appreciate the emphasis on exporting to any daw vs the usual options others promote. Your way allows the user a chance to see that, if you are already using Reason the option to use your Mpc with it does exist! Stuff like this should be promoted more and definitely more obvious, especially from Akai, cuz not everyone is using Ableton Live by default!
For the most part many would yet believe that what you just did is limited to just the vst method or Ableton Live. Appreciate it a lot!
Would love to see you demonstrate this with Presonus Studio One as well at some point.

Can you chop up a drum break convert it to a program. Record a beat and then explode the drums on individual tracks? Reason I ask is I tried doing so and I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or not but when I went to bounce down audio mix and and was trying to email someone individual drum tracks each track was not playing any sound it was just blank. I use a Mac btw. Can you please help me on this issue. 🙏

I don't know of anyone else has this problem but I don't have a folder by the name. I have two squares. The top one has a line down the center and the bottom one has a circle, so I can't get to it that way. I could get it from the song page, but then the explode option is greyed out. What do I do?
For some reason when I make a full beat and explode the tracks, when I go to export, the melodic sample tracks export blank. I even tried deleting the source track everything was exploded from and it's still doing it.

How can I do this with the beat payed out in song mode in the mpc live 2 ? My samples are coming out whacked

No. You would need to export your track via the MPC/Beats software. 👊🏾
For some reason when I try to export chopped up samples I played out, it doesn't export correctly. Is anybody else having this issue?
Do you have to export each sequence separately? How can you export the stems to the whole song as it’s already arranged. Do I have to export the sequences separately and arranged the song again in the DAW?
Hey Troy, if you haven't solved this yet: I put all the sequences in the order I want in the Song mode on the MPC, then 'convert > sequence'. Then I export that new sequence into my DAW.
So if I wanted to create a song mode in the mpc can I still export it out in song mode? Thanks in advance
