My mother always had my jeans done like this because she wanted me to be her “little cowboy” with a button up shirt and jeans like this and a Stetson. Yes I had to go to school like that. To make a long story short I always had to walk like an astronaut that shat himself because my jeans had turned into cardboard.
I told my fiance's mother that her son has the most perfect little bubble butt. And she said "you should've seen his bubble butt in a pair of Wranglers as baby!!" & My jaw DROPPED because he is the only man I've ever dated that disliked country music/clothing/boots
Man when I was a teenager I was the person you came to to get those jeans starched and creased , cleaners baby bye I was it! My pants would stand for 3 days after I’ve worn and removed .. we played no games about the crease .. I miss the damn 90’s
Sta flo all the way. I don’t let the cleaners do it though. They will destroy jeans fast and in a hurry. Starch is also good for repelling dirt, spills etc. It’s like a Teflon coat.
This is how we used to starch our jeans back in the 70's, they stood up by themselves... My mother used to crochet her dollies as well, and used this type of heavy starch for her projects...
This is called a "cowboy starch" because traditionally cowboys would starch their jeans and shirts like this in order to prevent thorns from punching through their clothes when riding horseback in the brush. Especially in south and west Texas.
My Grandmother used to do this to her pillowcases. Then put another non starched pillowcase on top of that. Double pillowcases. It was a lot of work but it was nice and sleeping at her house was sweet because the pillows always felt crunchy and clean. I should start doing this because I miss it. She passed away in 1994.
I have been doing that with my wranglers most of my life never had a problem walking around in them . Once you put them on they will loosen up. lmao and yes I have lived in the greatest state in the US my whole life Texas.
Oh gosh gosh...thats what is meant when we say "hard starch". Even back then I've never seen jeans starched so hard and I was tempted to bring starched jeans back. Whoever is wearing those will be SHARP sharp!!
