It's time to listen and feel instead of look. Follow along and drive better with Late Apex as Sense of Speed goes deeper than a puddle about the limit.
what a great joy to watch for a call back to track. Been a while, rig is dark and cold. You remember the fun side of the sim all of a sudden. Thanks mate.
This and the last couple of vids, are absolutely amazing. !!! The way u explain, and the details/subject u touch are in my mind perfect. Just what i need to get better for sure, keep them coming, pure gold !! ;)
Hey first time viewer glad you ended up in my feed. Great job with this video. My takeaway is a lot of great tips explained in a way that works with how I think Cheers
I setup the "new" FOV method and I like the changes, one thing I still struggle with in sim vs IRL is feeling the speed of a corner, usually I can only tell if I was too slow/fast after its too late, do you have any tips for creating that brain/screen relationship?
Hey dude, Just wanted to comment and tell you I've been testing your new FOV techniques and I feel so connected to the car - it's honestly impressive. Thank you for all the work you're doing. I did post a clip on my channel of my own FOV lap, trying to emulate your cockpit just a bit. :) I wanted to ask, how do you use the X axis camera? Sometimes I feel like I should move it back - but I'm scared to fuck up all the work for FOV. Do you ever use the camera settings? I know you touched on it briefly in the last FOV video.
Awesome. I'm actually working on camera stuff now. I use very little camera if none at all. As for the method, it will be camera, and fov in tandem. What near plane are you at, and how many clicks do you think you need to move the cae?
In the back end of the game, they can name the axis whatever they want and use left or right math in the projected space. The camera and projected space are actually more of an issue than fov, but people don't talk about it. It is also why I'm doing two videos to separate the process.
@@sense-of-speed I guess I just feel like I'm sometimes much too low in the car, or much too close to the dash, but that's likely my inexperience talking. A good example is the Ferrari GT3 - I feel like I should be able to see the edge of the seat halo pads at the edges of my side monitors - but I would need to use like -0.070 X camera settings to achieve that. After this video, I'm running the following values: Physical: Flat triples, 32" 710mm width angle is 57 degrees I'm 600mm from the screen In-Game: 3 Curved Screens (My monitors are flat, though) Monitor Width: 1210mm Bezel Width: -7mm Radius: 1260mm FOV - 192 Config File: WorldNearPlaneDistance=3
Man your words are so powerful they are just making me want to jump into sim right now. Also you are making lots of analogies to musical instruments. Were you a musician?

Hell yeah, man. Jump back in and do some laps.

Awesome. Thanks for the kind words.
This video got me excited for the next time I get to drive in my rig. Thanks Kevin!
Hell yeah, man. That's what I like to hear.
Awesome stuff anyone can apply!... this stuff is gold 🙏
Love your content as always 😊
Good stuff, man. Thanks for watching.
So happy to see you branching out to technique as well.
Thanks. It was always the plan. Just been distracted with fov.

Excellent. Thanks for watching, and welcome to my little corner of YT.

Nice video, keep up the good work!
Thanks, buddy.

I’m wondering this as well. I’m also wondering why it’s X axis ,and not Y, that moves forward and back.

I'll check out your clip when I sit down in the rig.

great information thank you. With the world near plane distance is it better to have a high value or low?
Thanks. It really depends on you and your gear. Personally I prefer 20 on GT3 and the radical. For LMP and Open wheel I prefer 30.
The almighty gooch hahaha my hero
Respect the gooch!
Man your words are so powerful they are just making me want to jump into sim right now. Also you are making lots of analogies to musical instruments. Were you a musician?
Thanks, man. Yeah. I played guitar quite a while. A few bands, mostly hobby.
HELL YEA KEVIN!!!
Lol. Thought about ya when I recorded it.
New video!!🔥🔥🔥
Thanks, man!
Have a link to that dash/clock?
Search Lovely Dashboard. He has a link on Github for download. If I post a link, YT will delete it
Oh sorry I misunderstood. I use LD I misheard that you had found something based on LD. Thanks for the reply
@marklongNH No worries. I just copied the widget and put in my lumirank dash. Eventually, I'll get a wheel with a display when I sell an organ or two.
so true to the last part.. i know when im in that zone. on the limit, i get hard
Lol. It's definitely a happy in the pants moment for sure.
everything becomes slow when reach high speed
Very true. I actually was going to say it but forgot when I wrote the script.
