  • 24 HOURS IN SPLIT: Riva, Palace, Shopping center
Today we spent the day in Split in Croatia, walked along the Split waterfront, visited Diocletian's palace, ate sweet macaroni, went to a shopping center in Split. Dad had a trip with tourists in Split and also managed to show a lot of interesting things to Zoja and Asja.
Diocletian's Palace was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1979. It is one of the best preserved monuments of Roman architecture in the world. The emperor's palace was built between 295 and 305 as a combination of a luxurious villa and a Roman military camp.
Split's Riva began to take its current form two centuries ago, when the French ruled these parts during the time of Napoleon, by the hand of Marshal Marmont. To this day, that promenade has become the city's living room, the most popular and important public space in Split.
In the shopping center, the girls enjoyed the playroom, and dad and mom treated themselves to a delicious lunch. How we love traveling. Travel and adventure are always there :)
