I just remember being blown away by Manutaki, especially Paora, and these two guys built like Conan the Barbarian. Manutaki, Te Waka Huia, Ngāti Rangiwewehi, and Nga Pumanawa were awesome!
My dad is in this!! I was so angry at him for leaving me behind in Auckland HAHAHA (was too young to go). My dad is front row last on the end right hand side. Uncle Manu center next to paora, uncle Nick 2nd row left hand side. I feel so privileged growing up and watching these legends practice their hearts out. Papa Pete is definitely a one of a kind man❤️. Miss Manutaki day's. My daddy is too fat now to keep up with any of them🤣🤣🤣 but he still teaches Rakau though. It's that Pouwhitu in him.lols.
