I have watched hours of Lightroom videos and was utterly confused until I stumbled across your video. Now I understand how it works and how workflow can be created. Thank you so very much, I was felling pretty stupid until I found and watched. Many thanks again.
thank you very much . This was awesome . I went through several videos to learn and got all confused . This video was excellent . You taught in such a simple way giving the required information .
love this! I'm new to Lr - is there a list of some kind where I can just watch back to back tutorials so I don't miss anything? Otherwise I feel like I'm randomly searching. thx!
Thank you this helps a lot but I have a few questions on importing, when importing directly to the folder does this means after editing the originals are in that same folder? Does this mean I have to create a folder with (edit) bedside it so I will know the difference? Or should I simply edit the picture the import and save the file to a specific folder
You are basically editing the data in Lightroom, the original files always remain the same. Once you have edited your files you can export them in a number of formats - this is when Lightroom creates digital images from your data. You can name the files on export and save to another folder or in the same folder next to your originals.
This video was very well made, and it seems really informative but I only watched it all the way to the end hopping she would answer my question. which she didn't. Lightroom is not allowing me to import the photos at all. I usually do the second method which she demonstrated. Please help me I've tried everything I can possibly think of.
Thank you for the Video. Question, my Leica has the option to shoot in jpeg and dng at the same time. When I go to import into lightroom, which file gets copied and do I select "copy as dng" or "copy" when I desire to import the DNG file from the SD Card? Please help, Thank you.
Can you tell me why my images would change settings (get lighter) after importing them and starting to work on them in Develop? If I click on the image to view it, it will automatically jump the exposure to +1.70. Please help! I can't find anything on the website about the issue and how to fix it.
Hi Julieanne, I opine, if lightroom copies images eg onto the C:\ drive, please advise if you mean copies a thumbnail, or the actual image? Eg I have a total of about 80,000 images, externally and not enough space to copy original pictures. Thanks and regards, Joe.

When you import images, at top right of the import window is a panel "Apply during import", have you inadvertently selected something in the "Develop settings" choice?

If you want 2 copies of the same image to adjust in different ways, simply create a Virtual Copy

Really 15 minutes on how to import images?
stop showing your arrogance. make your own video. I needed all 15 minutes.
I'm sorry, it seems I have offended. That was not my intent. Obviously there is a much larger learning curve to Lightroom than I thought.
She is amazing. It shows every quirk of lightroom.
