    Watching this again two years later. I wanted to see how much Madeiros has improved in two years. I forgot how much I liked these games without the crowd noise and can hear the effort it takes these athletes to do these events. Hearing Fraser grunt and breathing hard reminds us he is actually human. And I somehow forgot Jeffrey Adler was there. I love watching him.

      Yellow are 35lbs = 15,9kg instead of 15, greens are 25lbs = 11,36kg instead of 10... Small whites are 10lbs, actually 1lbs less than 5kg...
      So in the end guessing the total weight precisely, from the plates's color, is an absolute clusterfuck for people who are using metric system, which is actually 95+% of the world.

      It’s not a women’s problem, but it’s a result of not maintaining form as weight gets heavier. Perhaps the external hip/thigh muscles aren’t activated enough in warm ups, are overpowered by medial thigh muscles, or over compensation in an effort to flare the knees. There isn’t one reason for them engaging the medial muscles more than the lateral muscles.

    • @ah7027
      @ah7027 4 роки тому

      most of these people train olympic lifting style and a lowbar squat just isnt functional for that. Also if you never train a lowbar squat you wont lift more with it. So thats the reason they arent using low bar.
