I really would like to see more of the detailed scenery. I think the trains are a very small part of the overall enjoyment of a quality layout such as this. Thanks for sharing.

Really nice layout and thank you for running the trains at "slow order" speed. I could actually read the sides of the rolling stock.

I am building my third 3 rail O large layout. The new one will be 12 x 30, similar to Glen Rosenbaum's. His is 14 x 20. This video gives me some great ideas.

Absolutely breath taking layout! Beautiful scenery and models. Thanks for sharing CTT. Omar did a fantastic job capturing the layout. Really enjoy these longer layout showcase videos! Would love to see more. Happy Holidays to all the staff members.

Hello Glen & Carl • I like all the passenger train action. The slow moving freight trains are very prototypical as they travel along the excellent scenery. Cool layout, with freight yard & turntable. Merry Christmas🎄

Glen's got a beautiful layout and fleet, loads of gorgeous streamlined passengers and some Union Pacific steam power. About the only things missing are a passenger station with a long enough platform, and an SP GS-4 as alternative motive power for the Daylight.
Loved seeing the Big Boy in action, always do when people put a properly long train behind them.

I have a huge heart for trains. I'm looking for a house with either a huge basement or a huge utility room, that way I can build a o gauge layout and put my drum set in it.

just did my first vlog1 about my new train table. Working on a walkthru then the track will be 90 pct done. Hope I can get to this level of scenery in a few parts of my new trainboard, but it is very intimidating, esp with only myself and a 27 by 17 o gauge board. I have a good collection of decorations, buildings, accessories, but it hard not to stop right now and start landscape and scenery.

This layout is featured in the September Issue of Houston Lifestyles and Homes. Or should I say the home is featured. Mr. Rosenbaum moved back into his parent's 1964 custom designed house and completely remodeled it. He also added about 1300 square feet of additional floor space, I believe mostly in the train room. He hired a professional layout design and construction team to build this masterpiece.

Great layout but a couple of things bother me - with all the nice work done and the new track versus the old tubular Lionel track you'd think someone would come up with a nicer looking way to secure down the track then those ugly screws.
The other is the video - this has all the hallmarks of being shot with a dslr and not a regular video camera. Which is okay but it's what gives the halting-like motion and some of the closeups where the train is going directly across the screen like from left to right.

+musicman8942 Thanks for the thoughtful comments. I'm not sure what was used to film the railroad. It's possible we goofed up some setting in formatting the video files -- the jittery moments look like we forced a frame rate on a file shot with different settings.

This is precisely why you lost your subscription base - what is "classic" and what's "toy" about this? It's pretty, but this is high-rail scale model railroading. It's not classic and it's not a toy train. There were plenty of magazines to deal with this stuff, but only one that catered to collectors of vintage electric trains. Unfortunately, you guys lost your compass.
