OMG....in a zillion years I would have never, ever thought of a bird @ the top of the cloche! So u got my neurons frantically going & I'm going to apply a bird to the finial on a lamp shade! I'm s-o excited about doing this....TY along with a big hug Jeri-Ann! Stunning is the word to describe the cloche! Impressed that it can be used to hold multiple items to boot! Awesome job B.D. girl!!!
The biggest life changer for me was seen Octavia crafts and DIY soak a paper towel and lay it across the over the wording. Less than 5 minutes later it comes off without any scrubbing. She used acetone nail Polish remover I'm not sure how it would work with alcohol but I'm assuming it would work the same?... Seriously wipes right off! Also I love, love, LOVE Marta ❤ I'm the same with E6000
Jeri-Ann!! Thank you so very much love! What a great way to connect your viewers with new channels! That is so sweet of you! I have been a subscriber way before having my own channel and I've always said it...You my dear are a great "teacher"! Your tutorials are so well explained anyone can follow along!! Thanks again for the "shout out" and I must say...your cloche is beautiful and NOT lop sided like mine...LOL...Thanks again Jeri You rock!! 🙏💗😘🙌
Lol. You are so very welcome! Thank you for the inspiration! How do you spell your first name? I’ve had many Latina friends who spell it differently and with a name like Jeri-Ann you can imagine it is important to me, lol!
@@JeriAnnHenson LOL you are too funny!! I spell my name with no "H" (M A R T A) They always made fun of my name in school...they use to call me MARTHA WASHINGTON! LOL 💞
This is really adorable, Jeri-Ann!! Love that you added the nest and eggs inside of it!! That $ Tree wastebasket sure comes in handy for these diys!!! Lol!! Gotta pick me up some soon!! Tyfs!! Hugs!!
Came here after watching one of my regular UA-cam channels, In the Event with Kareem. He put this video in his description. You really hit this one out of the ballpark with your cinching up of that basket. Thanks for coming up with an idea to make this easier. ✌🏻❤
This is a brilliant idea...you make the best distressed things. If I'm having one of my 'not so good days' watching you craft makes me calm and Takes my mind off the 'aches and shakes'. xx
I love making projects using these wire trash cans. Of course I ended up with a bunch of wire mesh bottoms I'd cut off. Those had to have a use, right? I finally came up with something that turned out so cute. I trimmed off then bent down all the small bits that were sticking off the edges then spray painted them all. I wired several of these together then using the small craft clothespins hung photos & tidbits on them. For me that meant some small bundles of dried flowers, theater tickets, a cut out from a card a friend had sent to me and lastly a pretty little bird I'd gotten as part of a gift decoration. I used 9 circles in mine and made a diamond pattern. My friend saw it and wants one for a message center so it seems I need to make 3 of these cloches so I have enough. What fun!
Marta is hilarious 😂 I saw this when she created it. I really like it and saw on similar at another store for forty dollars. I have three huge rolls of chicken wire that I bought at Walmart while on clearance in the Fall andI am going to use it! Super cute though 😍🙌
Wow! You are incredibly creative and talented! You took items I would’ve left behind and made something I would have paid a lot of money for! Obsessed with cloches, especially unique and vintage like as yours!
This is super cute! Thanks for the shout outs (as if I don't watch enough crafters on you-tube) LOL but if you are recommending them then they have to be worth it. TFS all your hard work. :)
I love this! I even have everything to make on hand. This is the best way I've seen to form the cloche! thank you for sharing your talent with the rest of us.
Hi Moma Jeri, you are just to funny! Tyfs... I got a good laugh with you. So ty for the diy and the laughs.... I love the cloche. I love you to the moon and back! Happy Happy birthday! Now for a Funny sing a long Song 🎵🎶" I went to the Animal fair, the birds and the bees were there. The big baboon by the light of the moon was combing his silky hair, the monkey he got drunk, He fell on the Elephants trunk, The Elephant sneezed and fell to his knees and that was the end of the monkey, monk monk! 🎵"". Happy birthday week Jeri! U gotta sing the song. Lol.... ❤❤... love you bunches!
I was inspired by her so much I made 2 using both covers lol. I absolutely love them. Martha, that is. I did not make a top though. And I have to say it looks great.
I love this. So you were actually just doing a basting stitch to gather the wire together... how cool. And I also want to try using a bird. Thanks for the suggestion. This came out so darling. I never cease to be amazed at what all you UA-cam gals come up with. Kudos!!! 🥰👍🏻
Jeri, I just got to say this was the funniest DIY, you were just laughing almost all the way through it and I was laughing with you. Some things you did and and said had me cracking up. Happy Birthday week. Also loved birthday Dollar General, big lots and Dollar Tree haul. You're having so much fun. I love that tray black and white buffalo check from Big Lots.
WOW JERI I’M LOVING YOUR BIRTHDAY WEEK, I’LL HAVE TO MAKE THIS ITS BRILLIANT ! LIKE YOU SAY, THE COVER FITS PERFECTLY LIKE IT WAS MADE FOR IT ! LOVE THE SHOUT OUTS I CHECKED BOTH LADIES OUT 2 OR 3 DAYS AGO AND THEY ARE AMAZING TOO ! HAVE A BLESSED DAY AND GOD BLESS !!!!
You always come up with interesting ideas, but this cloche may be my favorite ever. (2 days later: I'm making this--got the basket shaped; still choosing the right knob.)
Jeri I love your channel and your creativity you remind me so much of my aunt Geri who just passed a couple years ago ...Thank you for sharing this beautiful diy and keep up the wonderful creating ❤️👍🏼
Hi Jeri, this is so funny- I almost made the same exact cloche w the garbage can and burner cover. I have a question... would the cinching have worked if you used string instead of the wire? I am not sure b/c I didn't try it... but since you worked with it- you might be able to answer... Thanks for sharing- you are such a wonderful crafter and I love the way you explain your process! :)
Hey Jeri-Ann, I thought of a cool DIY idea if like to see. Diy cotton stems. I'm in Ontario and I can't find cotton stems for less than $15 a piece...I could be off by a couple dollars? Remember this is in Canadian currency. Seriously too expensive though.
Hi Jeri-Ann😃 Have you any more ideas of what you can do w DT burner covers? I’m trying to do something w one now. Of course I’ll try this cloche (if which I’ve never heard till today, thank you) but I’m not real confident about forming that basket. Happy BD to you, too! Mine is the 20th
Kara, now I want to gift you $1+tax to buy one just to try this method, it really is very simple. Besides, if you check out Cuban Curlzz video hers is ver Rustic and I love it even more!
Very cute. I bought a case of wire baskets. I was just gonna spray paint them and slap a knob on top. Now I'm not so sure. Do I wanna cinch the top? U lose some space that way. I actually want to use these in the garden. Hmmm... Maybe I'll shape a few.
@@JeriAnnHenson so I went crazy. Bummer they are smaller than they used to be. I got some of the smaller baskets which u can stack and add to the top. Very fun. Sanded with a scotch pad type sanding pad. Spray paint in metallics. Sealed with holloway house quick shine floor wax. Added some knobs. I had to order some washers and used EVP foam as spacers. Cut one of the screws but it made screwing the knob on harder. I don't have the best equipment for the job.
This was so amazing! Your technique for turning the wire basket into a beautifully rounded top was spot on. This by far exceeds the ones I have seen so far as to a perfect roundy top. I love a roundy top! I have a wire cloche that I bought a long time ago and yours looks just as good as a manufactured one. I am definitely making one of these. Thanks for this DIY!

What kind of gloves?
