- I decided to give 99 floors a spin and ended up finding a great bunch of players to play with, only issue was we all got disconnected from the boss at about floor 35. I kept going solo after floor 35 and managed to make it to the end! This has to be one of the hardest challenges I have done in a long time.
Note: The game just keeps going on forever after floor 99, so I defeated the boss on floor 100 and died so the game would save. The only benefit to doing this challenge is that the number of floors you completed is listed on your save file on the main menu.

You get these baller teammates when I’m stuck with people who play expert difficulty, and don’t know how to lift a curse or get me unstuck from a carpet 😂
There is a scarescraper discord where I met these players, they are quite skilled!
Dude YES! But the worst is when you get teammates who deliberately follow you around and try to steal your ghosts or try to bump into you to steal your key.
@@Navman_ when you drain 400 boss health but they start vacuuming at 30 hp and they steal it 😂 I was playing a round of rush mode earlier where I and another teammate were at the exit, then pink and green were dilly dallying around across the map, in a room with no ghosts or traps, like they forgot what mode we’re playing

@@Navman_No the worst kinds of people are people who get mad at you stealing ghosts/boss ghost (even though everyone gets the ghost in their collection afterwards) and afks in a race mission when everyone's waiting on the buttons and makes us all lose the game, I lost a good amount of games cause of that. The longest I got in the race gamemode was 74 with 2 players (on the 3DS) I could've gotten to 99 solo like here way easier without having to deal with curses or carpets (mostly carpets because if you have good players they always run away from anything they interact with, so even if it's cursed the cloud of smoke doesn't reach them in time, and those large vases are always a gamble so most people just leave em) but it's boring with just one player
Dark moon scare scraper is so mush better than 3’s it’s crazy. It’s just the way the vacuum works where you have access to the dodge move with B and how it’s way easier to grab multiple ghosts. Feels much more natural to play with others
I used to say over the many years the ghost combat is just better in this game compared to 3 (not that 3 is bad, it just feels lackluster) and it tends to feel a lot more rewarding.

Keep in mind someone had four hours and they thought hey let’s play Luigi’s mansion. Dark Moon multiplayer for four hours. I respect that.
My goodness! This may be the greatest record I've ever seen for the ScareScraper in Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon! Extraordinary work, I don't think I'd be able to achieve even a quarter of this, my record is 38 floors! Excellent work, this is an excellent achievement!!
hey man great job for getting to 99. thats a massive achievement. i got pretty far but died at floor 86 unfortunately. you and the team did great.

If only Luigi’s Mansion 3 Scarescraper had an endgame bonus like Red Coin Scramble
I know Scarescraper is supposed to be a mission-based scenario but having random bonuses at the end of the challenge would spice up the mode and encourage exploration.
If they can’t do that then let Finding Polterpup be an incentive for that. It would be nice to have a mission involving Polterpup.
Not to mention we could also have “Find Polterkitties” as a mission also. Missed opportunity, but by no means do I find 3’s Scarescraper bad, I just find Dark Moon’s/2’s a lot more fun.
And the difficulty options allow solo players to actually have a chance.
@@stronautninjatoxic Yeah while 3 has 5 minutes and only 5 minutes. You can’t explore it solo, you are always beating the timer.

on 3ds I managed to do exactly 101 floors alone in 3 hours
Wow, I cannot believe how much floors you've reach! The only maximum limit is 99 and you could never reach at the top of the scarescraper.

Ggs ! I spent 5h this week trying to do this with someone, we ended up on floor 120 (we counted cuz no floor is above 99 ;( )
Also we ran into an issue, WE KEPT GETTING THE YELLOW BOSSES AND NOTHING ELSE (I have 8 of each now T^T)

Yup, it was like that in the original 3DS version too. After floor 25 in Endless the game will only give you gold boss ghosts! Thank you!

Are the money upgrades endless?
Yeah, the "Heart" upgrade is the only one that keeps spawning after you get the first six upgrades.
99 floors? How's that possible? Also, did you win?
You can play any gametype but you choose "Endless" mode. The game actually stops counting the floors after 99f, the game keeps going afterwards so ending the game after clearing the 99th floor just sort-of makes sense sense its endless.

Remind me what the curse can do exactly ?
It forces you to drop any power-up you have and you can't pick it back up until the curse gets removed from another player. It also makes your controls backwards.
@@Dangerless yeah what he said, and in order to remove the curse, you need to use your dark light flashlight on the player, but you can’t do it on yourself

Surprise Endless isn’t a mod, you just beat scarescraper on all 3 modes to unlock Surprise, then beat it on 25 floors mode to unlock endless. 🙂
