great video. i demo'd the 22 version in Snowbird on a poor visibility day. unfortunately, my size was out and i had to go the next size up so i definitely agree with the chunkiness :D . it felt like they were very good skis with no speed limit, the faster you go the damper they get , surprisingly agile in the bumps too. but in the end it was just too much ski for me at that size which made them kind of "boring", i guess i could not get over the "chunkiness". hope i get to demo them again at my size which would be 178 too. oh and what is that music track?

No intended hate here but after watching your other videos I was expecting your skiing to be top level. Just from the first clip I can see your skis diverging due to too much weight on the inside ski from lack of angulation
Fair Enough, I will take that feedback and work on it this season. TBF it's Skiing in June in Oregon with Thick Oatmeal Snow, but I can admit that my skiing can always use improvement. Thanks for watching and commenting!
With all due respect, I just watched the videos on your channel, and you could honestly learn a lot from re-watching this. The skiing here has a lot more upper and lower-body separation, and my skis aren't diverging, I'm loading 90% of pressure onto my downhill ski because that's what steers the turn. It looks like you're skiing with parallel pressures in your skiing, but you really want to have the downhill ski build your platform and give you stability through the arc, rather than pointing your skis where you want them to go. Especially in the Eastern US this is a total necessity. I've been racing and carving for a long time, and I don't mean to sound dismissive, but I think what you are calling diverging, is what we call downhill ski driven carving. I still really appreciate you watching and being willing to stick your neck out to offer advice, but I think your assessment of my skiing missed the mark a bit.
Ahh I forgot I had those videos hahah. They are from when I first started skiing 7 years ago and your points are absolutely valid! Had 2 weeks worth of skiing experience with no lessons at that point. I have since done multiple seasons and recently got my ski instructors level 3 in Canada. Love you style of videos, its so refreshing to see truly non-bias review and critiques of the other big channels! I am by no means a pro, but I left a comment thought it was fair given you review the skiing of the testers in some of your other vids. It's fairly minor but if you look at your second and third turn of the video and pause it before the apex, you can see that your skis aren't parallel which is why your outside ski suddenly slashes round to match the inside ski @@RicketySkiReviews
Just wondering if you would go with the 178s you demoed or 184 if you were purchasing them? I’m 6’1 and would be using them on soft snow or pow days in the East Coast.
Both Kind of. You pressure the down hill ski, as it loads on the arc the downhill ski provides a stable platform to hold you through the turn and then going into the next turn you sort of push yourself foward and beginning pressure on your next foot to initiate the new turn. Thanks for watching!
That's not quite how carving works though, you press on the front of the boot to create leverage to change the shape of the ski. That's why boot fit and flex is so important.
Didn't get a chance to take it there, definitely wouldn't be my first choice, but nothing about the ski felt like it would be bad in the trees, definitely on the beefy side though, so keep that in mind.
@@RicketySkiReviews I bought the 99ti yesterday. I did lots of research last night and found that it performs well in offpiste terrain and in variable snow especially in trees, so I can’t wait Lol
2:20 see the nice poppy short radius turns you achieved there. The more you ski the MB99ti the more you will realize how versatile it is.
Totally agree! Some skis you really feel the width, but I would say not the case with these Mindbenders.

if you stood on scale and pressed down could you make yourself weigh more than what you weigh for more than a split second?
