@@jugome Mahalo for you compliment! The beach is called Makalawena. Located on the Kona coast of the Big Island of Hawaii. You have to hike in about 1 mile North from Mahai’ula. The hike is not too difficult, but it’s hot, through a lava field then through sand dunes. The challenge of getting there keeps it secluded. If you decide to visit, go early. The gate to get to Mahai’ula opens at 8:00AM. And if you don’t mess around, it takes about 1 hour to complete the rugged drive to Mahai’ula (4-wheel drive vehicle required), then the hike to Makalawena. Aloha!
My wife and i were at this exact spot in early May. Most definitely not secret. Get there early! It was the most beautiful beach we visited during our stay. Just one Monk seal and us! Mahola for taking us back there.
@@PaulKruszka Mahalo for your wonderful comment! I agree, beautiful beach! And I’ve seen a monk seal every time we go! One time swimming, but usually sleeping on the sand.
@jayzeedeezee2837 Such an undisturbed place! I hope it stays that way! You're video was above and beyond awesome....from above and sea level. When we flew into Kona I could see this out of the window! We're hoping to go back soon!
@@Nastaran.Battles Thank you! I have a DJI Mini 4 and I love it! It was a little intimidating at first, but I kept practicing and flying and watching other UA-camr drone content for advice and tricks. I feel like I’m finally getting comfortable and really having fun! 😎🌸🌴I appreciate your comments, Mahalo!
@@jayzeedeezee2837 I have the exact same drone. I love it too. So many possibilities. I used to get so nervous before, but with practice the anxiety got better. Enjoy it.
Thanks, Blain! To get there requires a drive down a rugged 4x4 road for about 30 minutes, then a mile hike through a lava field, then through sand dunes. But the reward is a pristine and secluded beach with sand like powdered sugar! 🌴🥥🌊
Best beach I've ever been to
@@11jimidalock I agree! So pretty, and the sand is like powdered sugar! 🌊🌴❤️
Beautiful drone shot! What beach is this?

Totally worth it! Just bring good shoes. I wouldn’t try it in slippahs 😂
