The evolution of Silverchair should be studied in school. To see where they started and to see where they ended up is quite incredible. All over a relatively short period of time. Daniel Johns is truly a master of songwriting, at the very least.

I know that musical taste is subjective, but I really don't understand the dislikes on this video. This song is beautiful and the performance flawless. Even if its not your style of music, the high level of musicianship on display here should be more than apparent.

Why this band broke up breaks my heart. Their craftsmanship and musicality was just starting to ascend to masterclass. What a wonderful example of executing a tricky number live to a tee. The vocal is just gorgeous n the instrumental delivery of the understated rhytm section Joaneau and Gillies are tight as a whistle. Wonderful band I miss dearly

Daniel Johns is a very underrated guitarist. Getting that picking at the beginning part of the song is not easy.

Didn't think they could top Tuna In the Brine until this :) Tuna in the Brine is epic. This is elegant, delicate, and carefree, but still with beautiful transitions, layers and complexity.

Agreed - one of the best bands of 1995-2010. The evolution of their style with each album is just incredible - each time it was a bit jarring at first, but then it really grew on you. That is a really difficult thing to do - not many bands have the musical ability to do that. Definitely not Nirvana ; D

Verdade. Estou na mesma: fui ao show deles em 96, no close up, mas nem curtia muito. Claro, que ele não havia escrito as suas melhores músicas ainda. Comecei a escutar silverchair há uns 2 anos somente. Os 3 últimos álbuns são geniais.
I love how they have evolved. From angsty kids to mature grown ups. I really admire them for having different style in different eras. I totally get Daniel Johns coz when I was a kid all I wanna listen was just rock, metal and prog but as time goes by, i learned to appreciate different genres. Their versatility what sets them apart from other bands. The courage they had specially Daniel Johns to evolve and do what he loves is just amazing. He truly is an evolving artist. A virtuoso.
