No matter what he's in, I'll always know Ciaran Griffiths for his role as Mickey Maguire in Shameless. He was so funny on that show.

I remember when this episode was promoted on the TV back in the day. We were all excited for this episode and it didn't disappoint! Cant believe its been 24 years since this was on the TV. Classic ep and one of the best of the old Corrie!

I remember this was shown at 9:00 pm, the producers were obvy trying to be edgy by having violence and bad language on coronation Street..but it just came across as contrived and desperate. It just wasn't coronation Street.

When Mike's Wife was trying to say to the Armed police officer he just turned Around and look at her then just said nothing not a word all he was doing is just standing there and looking at them
First time I've seen this storyline, don't like it when the armed police detain Mike and Ken, just shows the police can have bad judgement. Though their were safe at the end.

I remember this getting such a slagging in the press. Corrie was trying to reinvent itself and compete with edgier EastEnders and Brookside.
This didnt suit Corrie. It was implausible not to menion very dull!
