I really enjoyed this. I was /am a Verve Fan. In the 90s in the flat above a shop. With my Mathmos Giant Lava Lamp doing its stuff. I swear the lava used to dance to Urban Hymns . It captured a hard living time. What fun. Simon is totally amazing , still digging him with his work with the good, the bad and the Queen
@@OerlikonNoerd none at the moment. But what I mean by Once, is by the time they give it another shot of reuniting for gigs or for an album release. Still hoping that the Band would still get back together.
@@OutkastedRadikal I really hope so. I was 3 when Urban Hymns came out so I never got the chance to see them at their prime. I also just got into them right after they broke up again in 2008.
Nick, both Simons, and Peter have all expressed interest in getting the Verve back together, but Richard clearly cares more about his solo project than the band that him famous in the first place
Oh man I really loved this vid! Awesome seeing into the world of these guys working hard into what developed into some masterpieces of their music. This was just fun to go through time with the Verve!
I’m kinda bummed that Simon didn’t rejoin for their second reunion, they were such a better band with two guitar players (Nick, of course, is in a league of his own, but it was nice to have Simon complimenting him)
Some people in the Verve’s Facebook group said that song originally came from jams with Bernard Butler when he was briefly in The Verve and McCabe did some overdubs when he returned to the band.
The songs Ashcroft writes are so predictable and sometimes cringy. The work with McCabe is where the magic lies. Stuff they hatched together has all the mojo. Monte Carlo is a notable exception. Thanks for putting this together.
@Benjamin Baldwin - Toatlly agree! RA solo isn't very mediocre. RA with the VERVE is legendary! Legit top notch music. Too bad RA doesn't want to share the spot-light or the creative impact Nick, Pete and Simon had in the Verve.
Simon Tong … an underrated legend.
I'd love to see Simon Tong in the studio with RPA if it's something they equally feel is appropriately timed.

They should bring Simon Tong back once they reunite for gigs and an album release in the near Future.
once? Do you have some inside knowledge???

@@OerlikonNoerd it would even be better for them to come back as a 5-piece. To take on a Tougher Sound.

I can not undestand why the other members did not make something big after the verve. Even nick who is indeed a unique musician.

Simon Tong has released 2 successful and very creative albums as The Magnetic North
And Simon is a fix member of the Gorillaz and The Good The Bad and the Queen.
Would be so kind as to release a little bit of love, misty morning June and the others if you can.
I think we'd all appreciate it, please
You can find them on UA-cam.

Monte Carlo is Jones’ finest moment in my opinion. It’s like he’s playing lead bass guitar
Awesomeness video...

Richard Ashcroft's great vocals but he was much more of an artist along with those four. No more, not anymore pls.
