It's cool that the old KDX gets some attention. I kind of like that it's getting a refresh rather than a restoration. Bike restorations can be a huge time sink. Just got a '91 KDX200 basket case. I haven't ever rebuilt a 2T, but I think I'm going to split the cases and put all new seals and maybe have the top end plated & etc. The chassis of my bike is cleaner looking than that one. It's not so beat, that's part of what inspired me to snap up a cheap project KDX.
Almost 30k subs!!! Hopefully it can keep growING. Thanks for posting. Also, you must have been tired and/or distracted. There were several moments where I felt I was watching me try to work on my bike (clumsy moments) but you were narrating.
Perfect timing for another KDX vid... you're getting me primed for surgery on my own. I finally have everything I need to do a complete front end swap on my 220... super stoked! As always, thanks for the inspiring content Morgan!
I was totally stoked to see more work on the KDX, but then my guy pulls out some Hayes Carl, turnpike troubadours, and Ryan Bingham. Bro, I’m in tears here. It’d be so cool if you came out to Texas and put a ride together with Seat Time and us locals! May the Lord continue to pour out His blessings on you.
Great video, excellent sound quality and you kept it interesting the whole way!. Your shop is amazing! I've said it before but wow, it's the perfect size and it's nice and bright. Excellent stuff.
2005 RM fork guards are perfect for usd fork swapped KDX's because it uses' the same brake line mount as the stock fork. You will just need to add some spacers and notch the guard for the kx line mount on the lower lug or cut off and run the KDX brake line mounted like stock to the RM fork guard.
Thanks for the kdx videos. Sadly there isn’t much on them on here an there so freaking iconic. I acquired a decent 02 in going through completely and these videos are great
You might try putting a little grease on the bearing tool threads. It’s messy but will likely make it live a little longer. Something tells me it’s not US steel.
Sorry to derail a little. What brand ratchet wrenches are those? I'm a snap on guy but a set is like $400...crazy for a shade tree guy like me. Great vid btw!
For the car guys out there, a ball joint press (c-clamp type) works great for linkage and swing arm bearings. Great content, Morgan!

Kudos to your wife for riding the KDX! Make sure you get video of her crusing it! P.S. - Fabulous workshop/garage!
Thanks

That bearing remover is handy, I did the heat and vise, and then broke my vise because one side had washers and didn't know but got the job done. 👍
Right on. Sometimes you break stuff to learn.
Now I'm on my kdx 250 and your a big help again.
Awesome, glad to help!

Good idea!
I like kdx 200 I had a 1989 I had to buy a complete shock for it I think I spent more on that shock than the bike
Where can we find this "gripper grease"?
Email Moose-joose.com guys. That is who makes it. It is incredible
