- Last race of the Western Swing. Unfortunately it became a one lane race track but we made it to the final of the Mission Food Challenge. This team is really clicking right now.
I am so proud of them. Incredible group of people.

This team represents the true spirit of America . Thank you for posting all the great videos on your UA-cam channel Clay.
I think the thing that people need to understand is that every driver out there is a pro and they're trying to win. You can't win them all but you can compete like a gentleman and let the chips fall where they may. Clay is definitely the best at that.!
I think we all know that lol
Absolutely everyone of them out there is really good and better than us that watch his videos
Great job for RWR 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
It is something that can be overlooked. There are no ducks in top fuel. Every race is a hard one.
You cannot deny or hide the energy diffrance the skip brings! MAKING AUSTRALIA PROUD. LOVE YOUR WORK CLAY
Yes yes yes Clay.
Get er down that race track.
Clay, you are the best representative for Drag Racing in the world! Love this channel, thank you!
Way to go Clay.
That is an owner that really knows what it takes to win... (well at least the amount of effort).. Drag racing is a contest of "He who makes the fewest errors" and a flawless performance is like pitching a no hitter.. Seem to have a really cohesive team put together... Makes my old tired racing body happy...
I knew you get back up on top stomping on that loud pedal stomping respect from the UK
Four good, fast, and consistent runs. You guys have good momentum heading into playoff season!
Going rounds Wins Championships ,, Good Job Clay 👍 Indy for the Win ,,,,, !!!
Clay,
Can you remember an event that had that many hole shots?
One thing you briefly mentioned was wing adjustment. That is something that I don’t believe you talked about before. Another subject is the adjustment on the wheelie bar just before the run. John Montecalvo told me the importance of this adjustment because he lost a race as they forgot about doing it.
There are so many adjustments and procedures that go into preparing a car for each run. I can’t believe how your team keeps track of everything! Great job!
Daang!!! Youall are really killing it, and getting a real handle on the set up and tune of the car. Really looking forward to the rest of the season and many more Wallys 😉. Thanks Clay for taking us along for the ride, especially us who can't get to see you race on person. 👍
Clay you are a class act!!!!!!!
Clay is just from another breed! The positivity and self accountability is through the roof! I think Clay and Brent from PFI are such a positive force in racing and why they are such good friends. We need more of that type of energy in this world!! Just sayin!!! Good luck Clay and team!!!!
I echo your words! Both Brent and Clay are true leaders in turning negative energy into Positive!
one great team and an awesome human pedalling that beast!
go clutch girl!!!!
100% agree with what Rick have said !.Your Team is Awesome ! 👍
Great job driving buddy 👍 Great job crew 👏
Wow what an effort! Done awesome! Well done to all involved!!!! 💥 💥 💥
Hi clay
Hey, clay, you guys are just getting better and better. The team is doing awesome, and you guys are aging. Like fine wine, no pun intended, LOL. Love you guys can't wait for the next video, let's get a wallet.
@12:54,, "You've gotta take what tha track'll give ya",,, THOSE ARE the words that cover the challenge every race car crew boss, driver, tuner etc must utter to themselves,, "WHAT will THIS TRACK, on this day and at this hour GIVE US?" Some find an answer, some do not. The 2023 season with Rick Ware at the helm, Jim Oberhofer directing the team efforts, Clay Millican piloting tha beast toward the finish line the DENSO PartsPlus hotrod IS collecting Walleys!!!🙂
Cleetus got me back into drag racing, you got me back into remembering the greats like yourself. I remember watching as a kid Don “The snake”, “Big Daddy” Don Gartis, Joe Amato, of course John Force, and yourself as well as many others. Thank you Clay for reintroducing me into one of the greatest sports on earth.
Got my T-Shirt yesterday..Love it
Proud that you guys are my favorite T/F team, I root for you every race! Steve is in second place and I root for him if you happen to go out. Thanks, Clay, the content is great. Please keep it coming.
Rick Ware IS a proven leader of race car teams. Every member of the PartsPlus drag racing team are AWESOME!
Keep up the good work
Clay I love how you have a laugh with other drivers battle on 😊
An epic "old man". Never miss a video.
Awesome result and video Clay. Rooting for you guys from down under.
Great job team!
Love Rick passing on the praises.. & flipping for lanes was a GREAT IDEA 😁
Yes it was !!!
Wow. Way to go in that right lane. No fear.
Clay and crew, y'all rock! Peace
Great run. You and the team are getting the job done. #stomp on the loud pedal!
Well boy howdy! Well done team! Fun to watch and thanks for posting!
Awesome
Ya'll did awesome still Clay 👏👏👏😪👌👍💪
I love how all you drivers interact and have fun with each other prior and after runs.
Awesome video of a phenomenal Team.
Sonoma is on my bucket list. I hope I get to see you race. Keep on sharing. I love your down home positive enthusiasm.
Great job clay!!!
Awesome Clay you’re definitely the man with the plan you and the team and JimO are really gelling well 😎👍🏻💥
Keep up the great content!
We Love Y'all Clay. Y'all are a heck of a team. We can't wait to see y'all at Maple Grove Raceway
The team is incredible. You guys (and gal) are on a roll and all your fans are loving it. Keep it up and Stay Safe.
👍👍👍👍👍👍❤️good racing Clay tough sport
That was stunning, every bit of it. All the best with the next one and thanks for the enjoyment :)
Very cool! 🏁🏁🏁
I love this channel. What a great team. Stomp on that loud pedal!
YESSIR! 🏁
Lovin it!!! That’s all that can be said
Great job to all of you!👏 Keep rocking it with that loud pedal Clay 👍
Watching you race almost makes me want to watch NHRA again, which I haven’t watched since 2008.
SOTLP 👊☕️☕️✌️
Clay, you and your team are truly blessed and Rick is equally awesome to come out and spend some time with the team and give everyone that personal appreciation they earned. We're 100% confident that there's a whole bunch of Wallys in the RWR Parts Plus Biohaven Tema's future. You ARE the face of NHRA Top Fuel!
Content suggestion: while randomly walking around the car, can you do a "Part of the Day" and point out something and describe how it works and how it is tuned/managed?
Your guys are definitely going in the right direction.
Keep up the great work, and you'll get him next time.
Clay..you are AWESOME brother. And I've always said one of the nicest human.beings on earth.Gob bless and Godspeed STOMP ON THAT LOUD PEDAL😁😁😁
You're in tenth place brother you're in contention for the championship keep it up
I love to see the friendship all, or at least most drivers show. The competition is so close on how these cars can run. You have a great team there and everyone should be proud of the job they are doing.
QUESTION: As the team gets better and better how often do other teams try and recruit crew members out of solid teams? I would think not only would the recruiting team get a good member but that would kind of gimp the other team trying to replace a member that got cherry picked. Or is that part of racing still honorable? Also not questioning anyone on this teams loyalty. Most won't leave a special crew like this one even for bigger paychecks.
Big dogs constantly attack the little dogs all the time. Happens all the time out here.
Another great video. Came up a little short but you guys are looking great heading to count down. Great team great driver. Stay safe and see you in 2 weeks.
Didn’t even think about the changes to the wing.
And interesting how they get the zero reading.
Not like other cars where they can make a level floor being so long …
Pretty kewl your being able to use the Fox video and announcing in your videos.
Keep it going…
Y'all are doing awesome!! Last few races the car looks so smooth going down the track. I believe it would go down a gravel road. I see lots of round wins and some race wins coming.
Great content, as always... I like it when you 'ramble'. Question for you... In Q1, it looked like the tires were split. Why is it ok to run them like that?
Awesome to here, just keep smashing that loud pedal !!
Sorry you guys didn't win that but the important thing is you got bonus points we have to think about the countdown
Nothing is push pull click 😊
Love is in the air!! RWR❤️
Think Rick was telling Tony " he's just a country boy doing this thing" 🤣🤣🤣🤣
You have a great team Clay. That is what it takes to get to the W's
Love the content
Wish I could have been there it’s my home track I spent many years there
I like the fact that all you drivers share rides back and forth and what not. I'm curious how all 16 or so of you get along and if there is ever any "competitive disagreements". Other than you Clay, who would you say is the sunniest disposition?
its really good to enjoy your vids here in the UK clay, keep em coming fella
Great run despite not getting the win! Somehow I knew Clay was a turn signal guy (keeping my faith in humanity LOL).
We need those 0.050 back
It's a shame that it was a one lane track for most of the teams. I t's really incredible that your team can figure out a terrible lane, not just once but twice.
Is there a platform where Jim O still gets a commission from the sale of his book or has that ship sailed. Meant to grab it a few years ago but what you’re doing with including all of outsiders has absolutely sparked interest again young man
Wait a second. Are you running a throttle stop for burn outs now? I know you never ran throttle stops. Unless the 2nd tuner was doing something else, but I thought it looked like he took the stop off. I could be wrong though. Maybe NHRA mandated it for every team now.
A throttle stop has to be on there per rules.
I hope to see Clay win at the US Nationals.
So appreciate your videos!
Keep them coming.
Thank you Rick Ware for your team support and making things available ❣️
I think he met enthusiastic rather than dejected 🤷♂️ but I haven't met you in person😅
You are absolutely my favorite driver! I always look for new posts on your UA-cam! I will say if you don’t win I pull for Steve or Antron. Wish I could afford to get all 3 of you fellas tee shirts. Next week I should have enough money to at least get yours. Please keep winning! You rock!
clay you mean your car not like my chevy truck (i in wifi area stuck on 1-81 north close sat for like 45 mins it downloaded update to engine mapping) it a v6 with like Paxton or leaf blower thing with a belt it auto clutch on it it cool till cruse control ps it by passed it now ( like it full on 454 type power) how do i turn this thing down to cool it some what! traction control dose that! i need it towing and stuff!
If the right lane was difficult how come Steve T. out run you? Was that just qualifying? Love you Clay and everything your family has gone through. Trials n tribulations. May God bless your family n crew moving forward. Get up on that fun pedal n limit your mistakes.
The right lane was difficult and it was the lane we were in. Technically Steve didn’t out run us. We lost on a holeshot. If you pay attention to what I said while we were towing the car back you would have heard me say it was my fault. I have zero issues telling everyone on UA-cam when I lose a race for this team. I do not make excuses. Even some of the titles of these videos have said something along the lines of I cost us a race.
23:27 Can someone explain what he means when he says "Stevie held me up for about 3 days"? Was there a staging duel? Or did he not stage for a while after Clay staged (but isn't this timed so that he only has something like 8 seconds to stage his car before the tree activates automatically)? Or did he take a long time to pre-stage, or ???
The second driver has 7 seconds to stage after the first driver stages before being timed out. In this instance "Stevie" was taking very small "bumps" in to be as shallow in the beams as he could because it is still a qualifying run, the more shallow you are the more running start you get at the timers and help you ET at the 1000'. It looked like Stevo took about 4.5-4.8 seconds to stage after Clay staged. It doesn't seem like much sitting at a computer or on your phone watching but when you're in the seat with the fuel pulled all the way on, the clutch out and tugging, and holding a handful of brake sitting there deeply staring at the tree waiting for it to drop it can seem like a eternity and mess with your focus. Yes its WELL within the rules and allowed time but just a little longer than what it would normally be at around 1.5 - 2.5 seconds at most.
@@bowman4268 you are spot on with your comments. You obviously know drag racing. Thank You 🙏
@@claymillican25thank you. Yes I do the clutch on our families AA/FA running the nitro chaos series here in the central area. Single mag 4 disc 60 gallon pump set up. We have fun. Love your videos and learn quite a bit from them and our good friend Alex Conaway we get parts and advice from.
Hi Clay, when you go to like five tracks a week from New York to San Diego and then from San Diego to Alaska, etc. do you fly to those places or what?
How much does it pay to win the Wally?
Clay this suggestion for Jim O Jim and the brain trust could you fab a cylinder that you screw the spark plug in one end and a hydraulic fitting in the other pressurize the chamber with 10,000 plus. And see if the electrode pushes out
Your proposed idea for spark plug testing , as described, needs more of the actual reality including spark, ignition, fuel to determine the necessary reilatibility.
However, with all of that, the spark plug will be no longer optimal functionality as used.
As seen, they have not had any more spark plug issues repeat for many races. The necessary actual, testing, verification, is within the Denso engineering, production, manufacturing.
As clay stated previously the spark plugs are all given to each team from the sponsor source.
Other drag racers have experienced similar and slightly different spark plug failures within their racing vehicles with less power, pressure, methanol, ethanol in addition to nitromethane and other manufactures too.
Some variations in fuel quality, especially from common, public fuel stations, have also occurred, with detrimental, detonation results.
This all clearly QA/QI, proper repeatable, verified, production, manufacturing process issues.
Also, Jim O is a Crew Chief, from among engine building and the crew, with extensive developed experience, expertise, not an engineer, capable with performing, arranging such testing, as Bruce aloso. The other man who is often in the trailer during th reviews, Dennis from PME, is a very experienced, expert engineer, mostly within NASCAR, that Rick Ware brought into the team to also assist. Dennis certainly knows enough what, how, to perform any proper testing, verification, troubleshooting, etc. along with communication wit the spark plug or other component manufactures, producers, suppliers engineering teams.
My background includes science, physics, chemistry, materials, engineering, design, development, verification, certification, troubleshooting, problem solving, mechanics, electrical, mechanics, electronics, assembly, technician, etc.
All The Best, Sincerely
I understand NHRA wanting to make the lanes even, but doesn’t that make your qualifying setup useless? Now you are going down with no real idea of what the track is giving you.🤔
Rick Ware certainly has improved his car's chances. But when the two lanes of a track are so far from equal, why not suspend racing till they are made equal?
Where can I get Clay millican merch at brainerd?
At the track our stuff is on the Hot Rod Randi’s trailer. The link to our online merchandise is in the description.
@@claymillican25 thank you so much see you in brainerd

Bring one home to Australia with a signed give-away card of you jimbo all the kids and even MR RW himself, so I can hang itin my motor
Thank you Cliff Queensland Australia 🇦🇺 🇺🇲 🏁🤩🤣
Clay, you better get on that practice Tree. That makes 3 times that you have lost the race for the team. I know you can do better.
I just realized that your next race day is on my birthday and it would be a great present to me if you guys can take the next Wally. So if you don't mind? Hahaha!! I'm just kidding, but not really.
Stevie held me up for about 3 days I am so shocked to hear of them words come out of your mouth not One Time have I ever heard You complain SiR
No complaint just what happened 😁
@@claymillican25 lol
How good is Rick Ware, He makes it all about the Team and the people and not just money. That's the attitude that follows down the line through the team and that is what makes them great. How much does it change your preparation, NHRA scraping the track after qualifying? Seems like all your Data from qualifying goes out the window. Just love watching all your videos, especially Top Fuel racing. Give it stick Clay 🦘
