AM sin - ARRIVAL (Official Visualiser)

‘ARRIVAL' - the debut track by London-based duo AM sin performed and recorded in a single take in Lagos, Algarve - marks their embarking on music after an extensive period of sonic exploration. Committed to bridging amplified sensitivity with the aloof resonance of modular synthesis, AM sin deliver a very strong piece that would please anyone lured by ‘cerebral' electronic music.
The polyphony of arpeggiated notes embodies the intensifying tension that is akin to saudade, the yearning that is destined to never be fulfilled. Delicately reverberated sounds of the Harmonic Oscillator suspend the listener in a limbo of anticipation as they fade and reappear, deepening the magnitude of emotions and the track's prevailing introspective aura. 'ARRIVAL' is pleasantly unsettling in its gradually changing sequences, as well as being weirdly soothing and reassuring, like the recurrent motion and sound of ocean waves. The barely perceived smoothness of the delay effect at the backdrop makes the piece sound even richer and nearly depthless, both musically and emotionally.
Culminating in the abrupt break at the very finale, ‘ARRIVAL’ seems to reference the intro of Caterina Barbieri’s ‘Closest Approach to Your Orbit’.

Beautifully arpeggiated notes for sure, love the build up and the grittiness, modular synthesis is my favorite form of musical expression by far. I spend a lot of my spare time listening to music but now both of you are really inspiring me to get back to exploring and learning again.
