Genuine question. Is Lego Monkie Kid enjoyable to people who know the story of Journey to The West? Like, I feel like knowing the story it's based on would prevent me from liking it.
Well, all I know about jttw is what’s shown on a UA-cam channel called Overly Sarcastic Productions. So I wouldn’t be able to say for sure, however I think it’s really enjoyable, and at one point macaque does repeatedly end up telling Mk, and by proxy the audience, that he needs to read to book. I’d say just try it out if you’re really curious, and if you dislike it, then that’s fine and you don’t have to finish it.
