It is always a pleasure to see those old kits up close and personal! A real shame about the JoHan molds, would have been super awesome to have had those kits re-popped. Real nice video, Great kit, Thank You for sharing with Us here on the tube. Later
The dart and Ambulance would be great to get! I have rebuilders of the 60 Wagon and Police car I got from Shawn. Now that I have a fair stash of "regular" kits, I am trying to focus on the rarer stuff.
Great review of a vintage kit Adam. Back in the 60's I was a diehard AMT builder. I missed out on some cool kits by not buying Jo-han. Thanks for sharing, Ron
There is a lot of cool subjects that you don't see elsewhere! I'm definitely on the hunt to aquire some more but not always the most affordable! I had never seen a Jo-han growing up so I don't have any nostalgia or collector value to them just great subjects for me.
@@sodakmodelcars yeah, by the time I was into models, they were already “old” etc. so I never really got into them other than seeing them at swap meets and friends in the club that had them
Nice review on that Jo Han kit Adam. I have the same one molded in blue. The guy I purchased it from at a show had the wagon version as well but I decided to go for the 2 door. Good stuff 👍👍
It is! I wasn't exposed to Jo-han models growing up as they were done by 1979. So these USA oldies are kind of like their last series as far as I am aware. Their origins of kit and promo making are as old as AMT in the early to mid 50s. Lots of Chrysler/Dodge/Desoto products and some AMC and GMs, very few Fords(some race cars like the Maverick/Comet, Mustang Funny car)

I have several Johan kits.
Have a great day. 😊
Thanks Charlie! They may be basic by todays standards but they still have great subjects!
@sodakmodelcars most definitely cool subject cars. I have the 62 dart,67 Cadillac ambulance, police pursuit car, 60 fury wagon.

Dang nice kit Adam ❤
Thanks Shawn! Hopefully after the new year I can get into building some of these Jo-hans!
@sodakmodelcars hell yeah build it!
Jo-Han white walls that were never perfectly centered. lol One of these old Jo-Han kits would be great for the 48 Hour Group Build.
Lol yeah that one was a little 🥴. Yeah they would be a good candidate for 48hr
@@sodakmodelcars I still have an unbuilt Jo-Han Cadillac Coupe Deville snap kit I could use next year.
That'd be cool to see! I haven't been able to muster the courage to do a 48hr build.

Thanks Ron! They have some neat subjects I hope to get ahold of! I was never exposed to them until my recent return, so I am still learning.
Great video and review of this older kit.

Such a cool kit Adam. Thanks for the review!
Thanks! And thanks for watching!
Very cool Adam, I've started watching more of those old Jo-han kits on eBay now, some very cool years and makes they put out!

I have one of those, pretty mint except for one corner of the hood which was a short shot. Repairable, though.
Nice! Other than the short shot but good to hear it's repairable! Thanks for watching!
Woo-hoo I guessed right😊
😁👏
Nice review on that Jo Han kit Adam. I have the same one molded in blue. The guy I purchased it from at a show had the wagon version as well but I decided to go for the 2 door. Good stuff 👍👍
Nice! It would've been hard to choose between the two! I have a wagon I'll do for next week!
👍🏽
Nice 😅
Sweet kit Adam! I need a hood and rear bumper for this kit if you know anyone who has them. Great video buddy.
Thanks Jeff! I would try Shawn and see if he has anything to trade. But I will keep my eyes and ears open for them.
Tan😊
Cool kit! I've actually never heard of a Jo-han kit before.
How far back do they date?
