Nirbhay used for less important and weakly guarded target...like targeting runways, important roadways, railways, bridges, bunkers etc...for high value target and deterrence brahmos is used...like heavily defended enemy warship, military command and control center, missile silos, airfields and hangers etc...

Brahmos is more accurate due low CEP value and difficult to intercept due to high speed maneuver ability. Whereas subsonic ones can has higher chances of getting intercepted .

@John Hero it can't detected very easily because of its speed and low flying capabilities, our enemies don't have advanced jamming techs that can jam brahmos,also brahmos have anti jamming capabilities

Both are basically warships Destroyers are larger in terms of size can carry more weapons and more supplies along..... on the otherhand Frigates are small, less costly than Destroyers

One of the major reasons of using Nirbhay is lesser weight (more can be carried by a ship) and lesser cost. Also nirbhay has a greater export potential to countries like Ukraine and Armenia (Russian involvement in Nirbhay is zero if we consider Nirbhay missiles with indigenous engines). Also Nirbhay has capabilities to fly at even lower altitude than Brahmos making it equally hard to be detected.
Also once the Brahmos missiles are able to destroy the air defence systems in an area ot makes more economical sense to use Nirbhay to destroy the remaining targets such as the tanks or airbase as due to absence of air defence system the Nirbhay missile will also strike the intended target without any issues.

We are really working on cold era tech, Atma nirbhar should focus on new generations laser & emp weapons, which would make all these missiles obsolete , mastering a technology is proud but these missiles are too costly, maintenance cost is too much, take way too much space and with missile defense's in place most of the missiles on which huge time and money was spent is wasted in fraction of seconds.
Hence we as Indians should shed these old techs and move towards future.
