What a buzz watching you fish ! Someone who definitely knows how these fish think , the river with its currents & calm spots ,that definitely knows his stuff . AMAZING 🤩 🤩 . Just the only down fall was the video quality but other then that AWESOME , SUBSCRIBED!!!
Gidday mate. Even though it's a few years old it's a very enjoyable vid due to your informed comments re reading the water. I'm in my late 50s & am in ChCh & as a teenager I can recall that Salmon daily bag limits were 4 & Trout were 10 though not that we used to catch anything like those numbers. It's a shame to see what has happened to the Salmon fishery now given that the Bag limit is 2 for the entire season. These days I head to the Twizel Canals & my largest Salmon so far is 8lb. Cheers

brilliant video bro, loved the explanation of why its a good spot and then bang we're in :p is there particular reason you use a baitcaster setup as opposed to a spinning reel or is it just personal preference?

For my general up river fishing I use a 20g wondercast zeddie, I paint them once the silver has been removed by the stones, saves buying new ones..and the green and white work a treat!!!

It is a great way to explore the river. Also, having somebody to pick you up at the bottom is the key, luckily I do.
