I know this is an old video, but in iOS 15 you can disable the mouse snapping to elements. Go to Settings>Accessibility>Pointer Control and disable Pointer Animations. Thanks for the video on the Magic Mouse, I just bought one for 5th gen.
Thanks!
Oh my god tysm.
@@JerrySchulze You should also try the MX logitech mice series. They have smooth scrolling wheel. That could possibly smoothen out the scrolling
Thanks for the tip! ❤

This is really underrated channel, you need to have at leas half a million subscribers. Great content! You have one extra subscriber.
Much appreciated. I’m new so maybe someday. Thanks!
I've had the idea of buying a mouse for my iPad Pro for days, this is the video I was looking for to make up my mind. Excellent video and Thanks.
Very cool!
Thank you so much, this really helped in my decision to buy an IPad Air 🙏💜
great video, got all the info I needed! thanks!
Nice definitely buying one. Thanks
Excellent video. Thank you. You were able to answer all my questions and you were very informative. I just purchased the new iPad Pro 11 for college, and I literally can’t wait till it arrives.
Hey that’s awesome. Thanks for watching.
Do you know if the Magic Mouse 1 works on iPad Pro 2021? I’m concerned it might not work if I buy one from a guy on Craigslist
Hey man. Thank you for this video. I just bought the magic mouse. will receive it together with my iPad pro magic keyboard and apple pencil later this month. You deserve more susbcribers!
Clarence Loie wow thanks! I am sure you will love it.
Thanks for giving a good holistic and honest review.
Jeremy Dupea thanks for the feedback.
Very helpful, thanks!
Thank you for this 🙏
Mary Rose Escoto thanks for checking it out.
Got my subscription. I really like the release of this new magic keyboard has suddenly made smaller youtubers pop up on my feed for unboxing and reviews.
Hey, thanks for watching!
After watching this review, I will definitely be getting the Apple Mouse 2 😅
Great video btw. Subscribed!
Great Video and Review!
Thanks for watching.
Well done on the video!
Thank you!
You are so awesome! Really hoping your channel to grow!! Suggestion: add subtle background music
Cloyd Harvey Dimatulac wow thanks! Most videos after this do have background music but thanks for the feedback.
oh man, this video makes me wanna get a magic mouse. lol. currently using a logitech mouse but i really wanted the gestures and the fun of scrolling with inertia. great vid man! 👏🏻
Get one! it works really well.
Great video!!
Thanks for watching!
Makes a desk top set up way more productive with the MM2
wow new channel, quality of the videos are great
Thanks, trying to get better.
Helpful thanks
You don’t have many views or subscribers, but you were still very professional and it seemed like you knew what you were doing and saying. I wish all the big youtubers were as crisp as you. I hate watching small youtubers most of the time because they enter in a whole bunch of crap filler or don’t know how to talk and edit their videos. Your video was great.
Thanks for the feedback, I keep trying to get better. Did you get a mouse for your iPad?
Jerry Schulze not really, I got the new combo keyboard trackpad and case from Logitech for my iPad Air 3.
@@Double.J Awesome. I have a 7th gen ipad now. how do you like the logitech?
Jerry Schulze it’s awesome, all the buttons work. The only “downside” is that when you want to bend the keyboard back against the back of the iPad to use it in handheld tablet mode, the keyboard ALWAYS disconnects, I guess it wasn’t made for that. So it’s better just to disconnect it and put it to the side. So far with this case, the iPad so far feels like a light or basic laptop replacement.
Yes more info on the Magic Mouse please
Thank you for your video.
Thanks for watching!
Hey, I really loved this video, I would appreciate it if you made an updated ipados 16 mouse support video. Also if a regular desktop mouse (wireless/wired) can be used well instead of the magic mouse. Thanks!
Please do mention somewhere how it's possible to disable the weird snapping within the settings.
Other than that very good walkthrough on the mouse usability.
I really like your phrasing and refreshing pace, a pleasure.
That’s a good point. I can’t remember if that was there when I made the video or it came later. Thanks for watching!
Hi Jerry! I have the Magic Mouse for iMac, and I am not able to scroll or zoom. The appearance of the mouse is almost identical, but the mouse does not have the charging port, it uses battery. My iPad is version iOS 15, I believe. I am 100% sure it's over iOS 13. I have the iPad Air 4th generation. Do you have any tips? The clicking works fine, it just doesn't click properly sometimes. I also can't drag stuff, but overall there is no lag. Any tips please?
Good video mate! Subscribed :)
Thanks! Hopefully they keep getting better.
Thanks so much
Love it thanks
So glad!
Sir I'll take those advanced options
Looking for an in-depth explanation of Magic Mouse / track pad set up for iPad Air 4th generation and hidden extra controls

I just paired my new Magic Mouse and while it operates, I can get the inertial scrolling to work. What I am doing wrong? Thanks
Very nice description of Magic Mouse for Ipad, now could you describe the next level of uses ? Many thks
Hi, thanks so much for watching. The mouse customization options can be seen in this video. Hope it helps. ua-cam.com/video/u52tHGMSEEg/v-deo.html
Good video 😃👍🏾
Thanks!
I have the 11 inch iPad Pro 2018 and I got the accessories to go with it as I wanted it to be my laptop replacement and been used to windows ever since I used a PC/laptop. I love the use of the Magic Mouse as it means my screen doesn’t get as many fingerprints and I would recommend to anyone who has an iPad to get one
Thats awesome!!
Is it worth the price over the Logitech mouse
Nice video.
Thank you for this. Using my MS mouse from my Surface Pro 7 on my 2015 or 2016 iPad Pro (it’s old I forgot when I bought it lol). It work okay. I had no idea this would work. BIG TY!
Glad it helped, thanks for watching!
Which keyboard you are using?
Thanks. U r awesome
Thanks!
Hows photoshop with mouse on ipad? Is it the same as desktop?
I use the Magic Mouse to work in Wordpress projects.
Can you use multiple BT devices with the iPad Pro? can I use my BT keyboard, my air pods and the Magic Mouse, simultaneously
Which keyboard are you using in the vid?
The only thing we are aspecting in next updateis print directly from iPad with wired connection. Cause so many don’t have PC or WiFi printer.
IMAGINE TATTOOS would be a nice feature. Thanks for watching.
Excellent and informative video! Just subscribed! Please do that videon on advanced features of the MM2, too!!!! It will be great!! I am using an old wired apple mouse on my iMac just to save my MM2 for the iPad Pro just after seeing your video! Thank you sooo much!
Nasstasjiap, thanks for the feedback and I will see about doing that video. That is funny that you stole the MM2 from your iMac. So you are using the one with the little scroll ball with the iMac now?
Yes!!! 😂 Feels nice too if you have an appetite for retro... 🤣
Lol
How hard to just make a magic mouse feel like a normal mouse? That big dot really drives me crazy!
Apple seemly focuses more on hardware instead of software. Things like closing multiple tabs all at once is still no possible on ipad pro.
Thank you! 🇵🇷
Welcome!
Great video mate - thanks.... I’m very surprised you haven’t popped up on my radar till now, but you have another subscriber! Do you know if the Apple Magic Mouse 1 works with the iPad Pro 2020 - I have connected my mouse off my iMac and whilst I have the mouse tracking I dont have any scroll functionality.
Hey thanks so much! According to others in the comments the original Magic Mouse does not work.
How are you my brother?
So If I buy any Bluetooth mouse is it going to work on my iPad Pro 2019 right? Or there are some brands?
Most mice should work. Any mouse with a scroll wheel will work just fine and you can set functions for addition mouse buttons. Thanks for watching!
I prefer the Magic Trackpad 2 with my iPad Air 4 2020. More Gestures available and I like that
Very good point!
Bro why when I use the mouse then I clicked “O” on my keyboard the pointer goes ringt how to fix it BTW I use gen 1 magic keyboard
That is weird.
I will get this
Thanks for the video.
On MacOS if you two finger tap on the magic mouse it takes you to Mission Control, is this also available on the iPadOS with the magic mouse?
So there is no option for that yet on iPad with the Magic Mouse. Using third party mice you can assign functions to buttons. ua-cam.com/video/u52tHGMSEEg/v-deo.html
Sorry, misread and edited response below.
I’ve used a mouse on a Pixel C and a jail-broken iPad. A standard mouse pointer works just fine. No need for the large, round mouse pointer.
Joe Edwards interesting. Which jailbreak?
Jerry Schulze I don’t remember. That was a million years ago. :)
I actually have a magic mouse and magic keyboard and I can actually connect them to my ipad! and instead of buying a laptop I can just get a new iPad pro or something now that's awesome.
That is what I did. Best way to go. Great quality.
it would be nice if you did an updated video for this cause i believe most apps now support it
still, great video man
Note: if u did, is the magic mouse way better then something like a logitech mouse ?
Thanks for the idea.
Great video!! Thanks! I only wish that the first Magic Mouse would work with the iPad.
Agree. A lot of people have that issue.
I CAN SCROLL WITH A APPLE MOUSE 1
Hi Jerry, can u pls provide a solution with the new ipad os 14.2 wherein if you turn on the assistive touch the cursor becomes huge in size.....i tried switching off the gestures but the experience reduces.....
I haven't seen that issue. Do you have a link>?
i got a perfectly good magic mouse first gen that doesn't get used so tried it on the iPad and the scroll doesn't work :( So they're trying force me to buy gen 2 which sucks.
GothicKittyMadness that does suck about fist gen mm not working. Any other bluetooth mouse should work.
Thank you so much.
Thanks for watching! Are you planning on getting one?
Jerry Schulze i don’t know yet. It’s quite expensive here in France. 85€ 😅 im wondering if there is student price for this...
I think there is special pricing for students and , in the US Military, so let me know. The Magic Trackpad is even more expensive and I haven’t tried that yet. I have the new Magic Keyboard but stay tuned to my channel because I have some more thoughts on that coming soon.
I have an iPad Pro 11 2020 and I’m considering buying this Magic Mouse. I use the Slim Folio Keyboard.
I’d be very interested to knowing more about it...
What’s the battery life like by the way?
I think there are more detailed reviews just on the mouse but I find that I charge about every 90 days. Also, it has a quick charge where just a few minutes will give you many hours.
I bought a Magic Mouse and I rarely charge it 😂
Yadiraa Mireles Thank you for the feedback. I’ve bought the Logitech Anywhere instead. Much more customizable than the magi mouse...
Bruno DECOURCY I think the Magic Mouse is definitely worth buying, I actually haven’t gone with 0% yet and it’s been like 2-3 months since I’ve bought it
Yadiraa Mireles yep same as me.

I got a very nice used MM2 on Ebay for $35. It’s gorgeous. I use is with my Magic Keyboard on my iPad Pro. Makes it so nice.
That’s a great deal! I should have looked for used but I just got a black Mm and Magic Trackpad delivered from Apple. What size iPad do you have?
Jerry Schulze I have the 12.9
I had the 11 for a short time when the 2018s came out. I quickly sold that and got the 12.9 and never looked back.
@Zaqwsx Zaqwsx Are you able on the iPad in Apple and Google Maps to zoom in and out with the Magic Mouse like on an iMac (by sliding up/down or double clicking/tapping)?
Chris H. I just tried it and no It looks like Google has not updated it for that yet. You can click the mouse to zoom in but the gestures do not seem to work.
Hi Jerry. Thanks for this informative video. May I ask if you could please recommend a flash player for ipad pro 2020. Most of the educational sites I use for teaching need flash player and adobe flash player isnr available for ipad. All the best to your channel.
cherlotus sorry, there isn’t one. All flash will be deprecated at the end of this year.
Jerry Schulze I was searching and some would say Photon or Puffin. I tried Photon for Macmillan website and Prodigy. It worked but it was really slow I ended up deleting it. Anyway please keep us posted. Thanks again Jerry.
cherlotus thanks for watching!
Can you make a magic mouse vs magic track pad on the iPad pro?
Hi, thanks for watching. I made a number of points in this unboxing video. Let me know if that answers your questions. ua-cam.com/video/BEHz4-jJJBY/v-deo.html
I thought you had 1 million subs, hope that you get it soon
From this video?! Hopefully my newer ones are better and thanks so much!!
@@JerrySchulze They are, I love the way you analyse the product with a lot of depth
Hi Jerry. After searching for hours, I found your channel; liked, shared and subscribed, but I still don't have an answer. If you would be so kind to respond to my question. This is my first ipad purchase, as I'm a laptop lover for sure, and I want to use a wired gaming mouse on this new ipad pro 2021. Is this possible? If so, can you advise on the process of achieving this goal, along with required hardware, if required? I really don't want the magic mouse because logitech has failed to honor warranties in the past, and I prefer my Predator gaming mouse. Gaming is the sole purpose for purchasing this ipad, so any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Hi! thanks for checking it out. You can connect a wired mouse and customize the buttons but I am not sure specifically how well that mouse will do. See if this helps ua-cam.com/video/u52tHGMSEEg/v-deo.html
Is the Magic Mouse capable with older iPads like the iPad 4th generation?
as long as it supports IPad OS 13.x.
I’m looking for a mouse to use with my iPad Air 4, is the Magic Mouse the best choice?
Nope, please don’t buy such an expensive mouse for ur ipad. I have been using my ipad like a laptop for quite a while now and this is what i would recommend:
1) if u dont mind something cheap u can buy a $15 bluetooth mouse from amazon that works on ipad and use any mouse pad (better option for portability)
2) buy a usb hub for ur ipad and connect any mouse or keyboard to the usb hub (this is what i currently do), you can use much better quality mice this way
I think the Magic Trackpad and Magic Mouse are great for the iPad and if you want something with more buttons the MX Master 3.
@JerryShulze Does the cursor stutter at all for you? I recently bought the Logitech MX Anywhere 3 exclusively for my iPad, but its so stuttery its too annoying to use. I’m thinking of returning it hoping the Magic Mouse will work better since its Apple-to-Apple. I can’t find a definitive answer to this anywhere. Please let me know. Thanks!
I have had very good luck with the Magic Mouse with my iPad. Also the Magic Trackpad.
@@JerrySchulze Just exchanged it at Best Buy for the Magic Mouse. No more stutter and the smooth scrolling is perfect. I immediately noticed you can’t use two-finger gestures to go home, open task switcher or swipe between apps. This disappoints me quite a bit but I’ll stay hopeful it will gain support in an update. Thanks to your review and feedback I got the Magic Mouse and it works better with iPad than the Logitech. Thanks!
@@atimm9497 glad to hear! Yes it’s unfortunate that you don’t get more gestures with the MM on iPad.
Will a Qi wireless charging receiver work with the mouse?
No, unfortunately not.
I just bought logitech pebble m350 ( about 20$) and its perfect for my iPad. Almost all of moves supported by magic mouse you are able to do with logitech witch is much cheaper.
Nice!
I have the Magic Keyboard for my m1 iPad pro but i find the trackpad too small for my sausage fingers. Thinking about getting a magic mouse
I actually prefer the external trackpad for iPad over the Magic Mouse.
Wasted basically 50$ within a year on Hp x4000b and Logitech Pebble, thinking that all mice will work equally on an iPad. Little did I know that despite all the comments that this or that mouse has smooth scrolling or that ipadOS latest update has improved it... Not. Both of them have horrible scrolling. Sure, got Hp since it was cheapest decently sized brand mouse, nope, scrolling was and still is crap regardless. Ok, my bad, didnt do my research this time. Started reading reviews, comments, Pebble popped up more often than not. Ordered that one. Nope, this one has got small, travel friendly profile, very silent clicks and scrolling, but the scrolling itself just isnt any better than on HP. Kept Pebble for the sake of its silent operation and low profile and better build quality.
I guess MM2 or Magic Trackpad 2 are only ways to go, so thanks for this simple, straight to the point review ;)!
Sorry about the issues and thanks for watching.
Im looking forward to buy this mouse or just a generic 6 dollar mouse. Please make another video on this thank you
Thanks for the feedback. I will look into it.
I bought a Magic Mouse 1 so i dont have to buy a new Magic Mouse when the Lithium battery dies. But it doesn’t scroll. Why? It’s the same thing with removable batteries.
That is a great question. Someone posted about that recently but I do not have one to try. I am guessing that Apple does not support it for some reason. Seems odd.
Magic Mouse 1 unfortunately doesn’t work with ipad. This is not a bag, it won’t work. MM1 worked on previous versions of IPadOS, by the way.
So can you use a Magic Mouse 2 on a iPad mini?
J a y l i n M Yes, you can use it with any iPad running iOS 13.4 or higher. Thanks for watching!
Can you use this mouse and a keyboard that isn’t from apple at the same time?
Yep, most bluetooth devices will work just fine.
hi. is it working with old ipad?
Julz Buen it will work with all iPads that run iPadOS 13.4. Thanks for checking out my video
Can I use the three fingers gesture in the magic mouse?
No, and no 2 finger tap to get to the multitask window.
5:01 I like this table a lot, could you tell me where you bought it from?
This is from Four Hands but can't remember what store I bought from.
@@JerrySchulze found it thnx! Also great vid
Can we connect this apple mouse 2 to a dell laptop ???
I think you would need the drivers from the Boot Camp software to be able to use the mouse correctly. There is also a third-party tool that allows you to use the magic mouse with windows.
I got the Magic keyboard on my iPad Pro but I also want to buy the magic mouse too is it worth it buying another mouse if I already got the magic keyboard?
I like the option of using either one. I like a mouse better for editing text.
Sounds great thank you and great video btw new sub
Awesome! Thanks for watching.
I have magic mouse 1, got it with my Mac. But it isn’t working. Mainly scrolling isn’t and also swipe. No side neither up down swipes.
Sorry to say, other have reported that the original Magic Mouse does not work on iPad.
Jerry Schulze thank you very much help. But your review is so clear, and short explaining. Thank you. Happy to subscribe your channel
@@BDESAI777 Thank you! I hope to keep making good videos.
I would do it so I can use my iPad mouse to cheat on proctored exams since it looks like I’m using my mouse for the computer I’m taking it on
Oooo😮
Thanks for the video. Hello from Ukraine❤
That is for watching, hope you are safe. 🇺🇦🇺🇦
@@JerrySchulze , the army of Ukraine protects me, thank you
I like the magic mouse but I kinda wish it could charge wirelessly
Totally agree, fingers crossed for the next one.
Wireless charging is not necessary. You only have to charge the mouse once a month or so. A 2-minute charge can get you through the whole day. Wireless charging is unnecessary.
Clarence Loie I’m sure a number of things about this mouse are not necessary but make it a mouse I like to use. I think wireless charging would be nice.
What is that keyboard? May I know sir?
Old Logitech.
What case is this?
Smart Folio Keyboard
Very professional video! You have gained a subscriber here. Hopefully you build it up! I’ve been told the Logitech Pebble M350 is meant to be the best/cheapest mouse that is compatible with the iPad Pro 2020. Just bought one of these but I am tempted to go for a magic mouse now after watching this despite the former retailing for around £19.99/$19.99.
ZaffProductions almost any mouse will work with the iPad. How does the scrolling work on the Pebble? Is it like most scroll wheels?
Jerry Schulze Yeah I would say it is like most scroll wheels. Feels nice and it’s super quiet. Although I do miss the ‘inertia’ of scrolling using touch.
ZaffProductions ah. Ya, that is why I use the MM.
Jerry Schulze Time to look out for a Magic Mouse!
A number of people are saying the MX Master 3 mouse. I looked at one today but have not bought it yet.
Thanks for the review on the mouse/iPad compatibility. Made me laugh when you plugged the mouse’s tail into the ..... mouse at 1:29!!!. Reminds me of the first Apple pencil when you had to plug it into its iPad for charging. Hilarious. It seems the developers (Joni?) at Apple realized at the end they had to plug something, somehow. Perhaps they might have to cut down those Martini breaks. Coming back to you review, a mouse is a must for me, a simple “touch me here” screen simply doesn’t cut it. This option opens up a new world in user interface as the iPad and OS becomes the new leading edge at the vanguard on technology. Thanks again for the review. Be blessed!
I really appreciate the comment. Does connecting a mouse make a difference for you with iPad? Come back any time.
Jerry Schulze Hello again!. Thanks for response. In regards to your mouse usage question, it is resounding yes. As much as I’ve tried, I’ve never been able to adapt to the trackpad. Not only because of my big fingers but because I am one of those persons that seem to require some type of mechanical/movement feedback when using tools. Reminds me of the F-16 fighter plane’s side stick controller; it did not have any movements but was programmed to receive pressure inputs from the pilot’s hands, so advanced, way back in the 70s. Did not work out too well, requiring General Dynamics to redesign the stick controller and add some movement, giving the pilot some feedback. So goes the story. But going back to your question, a mouse is must have for me, needless to say. In regards to Apple’s Magic Keyboard, apparently Logitech is about to release their version for the new iPad Pro. They had to wait until Apple would sell theirs for the first 4 months or so, after its released, rumors has it to allow Apple to sell theirs first before Logitech’s. It is called the Folio Touch, with smart connector, helping eliminate the Blue Tooth drag delay. It also has Shortcut Keys, something Apple’s product does not provide. And yes, the Apple Pencil can be attached to the top of the iPad for charging. All of it for LESS...yes....LESS than what Apple charges for their version. The Folio Touch can be folded on itself in order to use the iPad as a regular tablet, eliminating the need to detach the iPad from the keyboard. Again, preference may vary with your taste. Obviously, there will be pros & cons as it applies to everything. Again, a mouse is a must for me, but I’ll be enjoying the best of both worlds’ the “touch me here” screen option and “shake, rattle, and roll” of a moving mouse. As far as I know, Logitech is going to produce their keyboard for the 11 inch iPad Pro, no word for its bigger 12.9 inch bigger cousin, but time will tell. I have yet to purchase the latest iPad Pro, but if Logictech will produce its keyboard only for the smaller cousin, it will force me to purchase that one accordingly. Thanks for your reviews, again, and I hope you may be willing to produce a review ob Loigitech’s latest release. Glad as I awaited, allowing the “test pilots” to post reviews. Be well, be safe. Sorry for any misspellings, caffeine has yet to kick in and energize my gyroscopes.
Uwe Könnigsstaddt the folio touch is available now for the 11. If you get it let me know what you think.
Jerry Schulze Wilco on the Folio Touch!
can you use a mouse with the Ipad Air 4th Gen?
Yes!!
@@JerrySchulze Cool, I’m getting one for University but I’m stuck between choosing the Air or the Pro :/ think I’ll get the Pro though.

@@themysteriouspancqke8210 Sure thing!
Anyone wanna buy my magic mouse 2?
I got it from my new iMac 2 days ago, my hand is very painful after using that mouse for a few hours.
It is not a very ergonomic mouse and I am sorry you have pain from it. I seem to be able to use it without pain but maybe a different mouse will work better for you. You can also try increasing the mouse speed if you haven't yet and see if that helps.
also, you are probably inside a return policy if you bought it from a store.
