I got the 'Buffden Apex Predator' bow (2-6 tier) for completing the story missions, and a few hours later, I found and took down a 5* Kodiak. For stealth hunting, it's the go-to weapon. Enjoy it when you get it, pal. 😉
How many missions are in the DLC? I’ve been trying to grind them out to unlock the crossbow but haven’t got there just yet. That’s super sick the bow is rated for 2-6
@@Samurphy99 There are 15 story missions to complete, for the 'Aurora Shores' DLC, and the bow is guaranteed. After completion of them, simply take the key from the drawer in the bedroom of the cabin, and unlock the cabinet to aquire the best bow, enjoy! 😉
I love the fact the map is smaller than the two first maps - they were pretty daunting size-wise. But it's a really great map, and if the next one is the long hoped for African map, and done to this quality, I'll be really happy!
aurora shores may seem small but when you explore around the map its actually very big. lots of variety. im looking forward to whatever map comes. even if it isnt africa.
Had mixed feelings about that. At first I was disappointed, but at a second thought, I can't keep an eye on a third of my herds on the first two big maps.
@@yacuzazucay Yes, the ‘bunching up’ of big herds makes it challenging to pick out a cull animal too, which is more realistic. I’ve shot the wrong beast twice this morning. I’m just too impatient!

I heard the second crossbow is tier six. So maybe it shoots faster or something. Like I said just heard it I don’t know if it’s true at all. Nice video
I've noticed one thing, they've nerfed the 'True Predator' perk. It used to make you invisible and noiseless. Now, when activated, it just makes you 50% less visible/50% more silent. It's not mentioned in the patch notes, so a sneaky one there, from the devs.
Roosevelt Elk looks a bit buggy. Left Antler is a lot bigger than a should be for the age and genetics of the animal. Right Antler fits the expectation of the animal. Can't pick my loadout on these map. .300 WinMag is a stabble Item for the big boys. 7mm08 is perfect for Sitka, Caribou, Wolf and Mountain Goat. But then i can't hunt ducks and the Crossbow is fun too...
you can always go in the back of your UTV change weapons. its nice they added vehicle points now around the maps at campsites as it means you can do just that. i mainly carry the remington 700
@@juliam4283 Yes, but normally, the difference between the right and left Antler was about 20-30% in mass for a deer with bad genetics. The Roosevelt Elk look like a mix of a 5*Mature and a 1* Young, just weird.
Ron why you won't change the color of the info in binos from red to more visible (like white)? 🙂 For Tier 6 animals there's a crossbow that you get by doing missions.
does anyone know how to unlock the reserve on xbox series x? i have the dlc with the deluxe edition but when i want to change reserve its locked and the button says "buy" when i press it it say that it apears i already have the dlc??? thx in advance

I did not see any bugs in the game in that new map im am so down with cotw for all was being a buggy mess like my ccrashing all the time, i can not use the new inline, the cuttome skins, all my pistall weapm pack is not showing on pc for players and tthere is tones more bugs , i can not deal with it never chaned in 5 years i have nothing nice to not say about it when i make my videos im so go back to classic becase clasiice aint a buggy mess

I like the crossbows. I heart shot a Kodiak bear at 11 yards with the new crossbow

yeah it goes upto tier 6 once you unlock it in the story. ive just started the story missions.

If you can slowly get to a good spot then remain still it's not a problem. But yes, was a sneaky one from the devs on that part

Looking at buying this game but wanted to know if they have added in compound/recurve bows yet. Be awesome if they had Hoyt's in game!
bows are coming but not in game yet. what many people dont know is they are very hard to make in video games. cant wait for them myself.

Does the cross bow have a manufacture name brand ? I'm hoping PSE bows will be In game.......
way of the hunter does use brands so maybe bow brands will get added.

depends on what difficulty you on.
Can you do a video showing your settings please I'm trying to turn off missions and can't figure it out.
for missions objectives just go to objectives and you just select or deselect the mission.
why are the other animals run away? I thought the crossbow is silent?
