For real dude! This is seriously a song I thought we would never, ever hear live again. Anders and Bjorn continue to surprise us in 2022! So fuckin cool! 🤘🔥🔥🤘
Fortunately for all of us The Halo Effect happened 😅 now suddenly here's Stand Ablaze and Episode 666. Hopefully some more classic tracks are thawed from stasis in the next couple of years
Not really. Bjorn and Anders played this live multiple times in the 90s. The current line up are all great musicians. I heard some sloppy playing in this, could have maybe practiced the song a bit more, but it's whatever, still very good.
Am so fortunate to have been there and witness this! Was there with my girl and tolded here to prepare for Alias as a opener and then the piano starts... Right away I knew the show would be something over the ordinary. Afterwards when the song had ended she asked me if it was a new song and I just tolded here, you have no idea what you just witnessed! 😆 To top it of with moonshield, the Jester's dance, episod 666 & Scorn is just unbelievable! What a treat to us old fans! Love that they also played fear is the weakness and to end the show with my sweet shadow was truly amazing! Thank you In Flames for a unforgettable night!
they did open with the piano intro on SRF to but played alias.. The most awsome part about it is that when the intro started i told my friend ''imagine if the play stand ablaze now'' and they fucking did.. what a fantastic show :D
Absolutely amazing. First time since 1999 this masterpiece is performed live. This setlist is the best they have played in decades. Their last two singles are also not bad. Are they actually going back to their older sound? Amazing, if so.
@@NiklasMX Did you have a private live show with in flames in your backyard? If so, then they COULD HAVE played it after 1999. **This was the first time since 1999 they played it ;) **
I love that they're getting more comfortable with playing their older songs again these days. In 2008 when they played the Jester Race medley, Anders had a rant about how they don't like playing those songs because the audience didn't react as well to those songs. Glad to see they're moving past that mentality and appeasing both themselves and their die-hard fans.
Oh shit - so they did play it in 2022! I was at Sweden Rock, and they played the piano intro - never been so hyped up. ... then they swapped song at the drop. Never felt such pain. Knowing they played it live that same year makes it even worse!
@@christophersanzo1833 I ment the chemistry between the individuals. Like Sammy and Eddie Van Halen or metallica. I don't see that with Bjorn and the other guys. It's like Bjorn and Anders . As a fan I would like to see some type of interaction between the group.
@@paulgonzalez13 really??! Hmm 🤔 I guess we’re seeing different things lol I think Bjorn and Chris have great chemistry….it’s obviously not like how Bjorn and Jesper once were, but I don’t think we’ll ever see a duo like that again 🤷♂️ also, Tanner and Bryce play very well together, they’ve known each other for a very long time. I am loving what In Flames is doing right now 🤘🔥🔥🤘 can’t wait to see them headline next week!
@@christophersanzo1833 I like what there doing . Always have . I agree with your comments. But I can wish . 😆. I wanted to see the headline as well on this tour. But the day they are closest to me they are opening up for meshuggah. I just saw them open up for megadeth and they were the best out of all the bands. To bad not to many people feel like you and I do about good music. Peace brother.
They've definitely played Behind Space more often than Stand Ablaze. Though I think they only re-introduced Behind Space into their setlist in the past few years. The last time they played it before was in 2006 I think.

I would lose my mind if I hear them play this live when I see them. Ome of the best IF songs ever imo. Thought they would never play it live again. Must have been a huge surprise for the audience too, especially the old school IF fans
I hate it when bands tune down for songs without clean vocals I get it if your singer doesn't have the range anymore for clean singing in the same key But for death metal and black metal its unnecessary The original key of this song has a very epic sound, but this is bland and lame
Can’t really blame em. Majority of their crowd probably comes from the post come clarity era nowadays. No need to be gatekeepy about it. This happens with all big bands when they play some true deep cuts. Really awesome treat for the fans of the original sound though!
@@northtimo666 and what does that even mean, i started listening to In Flames when they were releasing Siren Charms but still all the other albums were available as well.
Come Back In flames !!! Please ~~ Jesper Stromblad !!!!!
This is amazing! The crowd obviously don’t know wtf is going on tho. I hope they keep playing older songs 😎
Seriously can’t believe it. I saw them do this on the 99 tour and thought it would never happen again.

Seeing the crowd's lack of a reaction to the opening, I'm guessing most of them weren't familiar with this awesome song.
They probably thought it was a new song 🤣
Yeah well, sadly yes
probably their best
My favorite song of theirs.
That night's setlist is legendary. I hope to God that they play some of these on the US tour
Seriously impressive how they played this since no one from the band recorded the song.

The best IF song ever created

AMAZING one of the best classics, hope they continue this path with the kickass new singles and such.
Thank you THE HALO EFFECT for making In Flames heavy again!
I think Covid and Putin had a hand in that too….
This is what I've been saying lol
Very old comment, but I actually believe what happened was Clayman 2020
They noticed something was wrong
The crowd was like “where the hell did all these melodies come from?!” That’s the original melo death sound they had long ago.😢
For the first time in 11 years I am excited to buy a ticket for one of their gigs
Most of the crowd had so idea what they were hearing
I love that they played the intro too!
I saw the set list on Facebook and was shocked to see this.
Incredible they played it live! Amazing!
Thank you The Halo Effect!
I love this fucking song of the EP Subterranean
