If you read this far, you deserve a reward! Here is a crazy good product only available at Walmart right now but it is SO SO worth it. It's about $9 so it isn't going to break the bank :) I'm so impressed I WILL BE MAKING A VIDEO ON IT LOL. My car came out slick like I labored all day ha ha. It’s super simple, wash and rinse, spray this on and rinse again - done!!! No drying unless you want to - I used a leaf blower lol.

I know what you mean, Peter. I was a carer for my mother for three decades and always took extra care with her food. It's a great responsibility. I got her to virtually 93, my strength gave up the ghost as she had dementia and she went into a home and she caught Noro Virus. They only told me she'd caught the virus a few hours before she died! A couple of representatives turned up at the funeral and had the nerve to ask me if I had any complaints about her care!!

Do the egg whites still come out clear after this process or are they cloudy? I wish you would show us this at the end. :)

I enjoyed your video. I’m really interested in eating healthy. I noticed you didn’t mention putting your eggs in ice cold water after you take them out of the Sous Vide. Do I need to place the eggs in ice cold water afterward?

there's a difference between cage free and pasture raised as well. cage free are still raised heavily packed in indoor facilities, also never see the light of day, or eat anything other than grain. free range are outside on grass in what called a scooter. it slowly moves throughout the day, so they don't eat their own feces. now you say 4hrs, the one i just watched says 1:15m, other say 140* for 3m.

Just got the ninja foodi that has sous vie setting. Just curious everything I read says 135 for 75 minutes. Why do you do it so long?

    • @PetersKitchen

You won't like the results :) Sous Vide is about temp and time. If you lower the temp you HAVE to add time.
I don't want an egg that is started cooking already, it looks cloudy and not like a clear raw egg. I did a lot of research and came up with my formula. It needs to be safe, so it really is 130 at 3 hours, but I went for 4 hours to be double safe. The difference of 1 hour isn't much in the bigger scheme of things. Since I am doing Keto - there is a lot of raw eggs in the stuff I cook so I am being safe for me - and you!

Ok my eggs got cooked too long. Maybe the ninja cooks hotter or something I forgot to test the temperature of the water
