This song is truly the definition of "mood" depending on your mood, this song has a different meaning to it but man how come this song give me such much nostalgia. The good old days, where we used to play and talk by the fire, going for a hunt in forest, cooking together, talk about our life ahead and those laugher we share at the middle of the night. Is ashame how just one single mistake lead you a different outcome, it is what it is my friend. This world is rough and it just ain't for a people with good souls and heart. I just found about this song today, and I've played it like ten times in a row. This is just the kind of music that speaks to your soul.
Lost one of my best friends yesterday.. she was a sweet girl and she was always there when you were down.. hit me pretty hard since I’ve been working out of home state for a year and half now and haven’t been home since November for the little brothers birthday. I know the family is torn as well.. she was a good dog certainly the best we’ll ever have or seen. We’ll miss you forever ginger until again sweet girl
Finally found the song that sums up my feelings for my old friend. He took his life this year, on my birthday no less. We were best friends, practically brothers, we grew up together, and experienced so much of life. Sadly we had a falling out because he started to get addicted to drugs, and manipulate people. I warned him, and tried helping him untill I saw no other option but to cut ties. I always kept tabs on him tho, I wanted him to over come his demons and become successful. He seemed to of gotten better and was doing well. He had a job, and was just starting a family. He had a baby boy, funny enough just a week after my birthday. Unfortunately his new job was too hard on him, and he fell back to drugs to try and get through. I guess his demons ended up getting the better of him in the end. He didnt even get to see his sons first birthday.
Same, friend fucking up, cut ties fired him, drugs, dead a week later

DM3 was one of me and my soul mates favorite bands. We knew all the words to every song and there were many a late night merry drunken sing alongs. He was a tortured soul. His life was one trauma after the next. The night of the full moon in May he couldn't handle the pain anymore and ended his life. We will dance in my dreams for all eternity. My heart aches but I know he is free.

I know everyone is going to say im stupid for feeling sad about this but this song really reminds me of my first car, my old jeep. I had it for 15 years and it went everywhere. We drove all over the cointry with together, on road, off road, snow mud rain, in traffic and in the forest. She never let me down, and always came back from the dead. So many times in fact that i nicknamed her revnant. But recenlt she didn't come back to life. It wasnt a car accident, although we had a few of those, it was just old age. I miss that jeep. And yes i know its stupid to be sad over a car, but it was my car and i was her driver. Goodbye old friend.

This song was played at my childhood best friend's celebration of life. He committed suicide almost 5 years ago. We grew apart a bit after adulthood, led two different lives. Most times I wish we would never grow up, it was so simple then in the 90s.

I like this song and it kinda sounds like the everly brothers too me which makes me like it even more.
I'm hoping someone sees this cause I just gotta know - anybody else listen to this song and imagine an old timey cowboy dude walking slow motion into a saloon, the door swings open, his eyes fall on a cowboy attired person. He saunters over, stands behind them, recoginizing them before the notice him. Bar patron looks up, into the mirror behind the bar - and locks eyes with the dude. Though dressed in cowboy attire, it is clearly a woman that our protagnist knows well. Then ... a mix of flashbacks where the tow of them were lovers and bank robbers in a trio including dude's brother. Things went south in a botched job and she shot the brother to save herself, then ran away. Juxtaposed with a really beautifully lit slow dance fantasy montage, like dancing in their dreams. More flashbacks tell more story, another fantasty dance while they hold each other close, but it comes back to reality when there's a gun shot. She shoots him in the stomach and he falls to the ground, dying, but looking at her hauntingly and weirdly lovingly. As she looks down at him, the bartender has pulled a shotgun from behind the bar, aims and fires, killing the woman. She falls foward, into the lap of her dying former lover/enemy. She lays with her face on his chest, he gently strokes her hair with a bloodied hand, while she reaches for his other hand, and intertwines their fingers and they both quietly leave the earth.
