This Paramedic is bad ass. He knows his stuff inside and out. And he is so cool and has a good personality. Fits in with taking care of the sick.
Yeah he’s the man! Super cool guy to hangout with!

i second that.
He is so outgoing. Perfect when someone is really sick. He can comfort the patient.
That kid really knows his shit. I hope it I ever need EMS that he shows up.
Thank you!

By the way he running through his car the excitement, i can see he's really into his work. Love it
@17:01 I thought my pager was about to go off. Sounds almost identical to the two tones for my department. Great video!
In United Kingdom police use the blue and yellow Battenburg markings, Medical services use Green and Yellow. While Fire and Rescue use Red and Yellow. Those are the normal markings.

Great video, Medic 94 sounds like a very proactive organization! EMS Sergeant Ryan really knows his craft!
That brand of IV pump is phenomenal. I remember that in nursing and when I was going to the Cancer Center too. That pump helps significantly with miscalculations. And it is a time saver too.
Thanks for this channel, I am actually a medic looking for a municipal EMS only job and these videos have been helpful. I live in the Northeast and in my state almost all EMS is covered by Fire or private EMS, so it has been tough to find a decent job.
Medic 94's station is based in our hospital and John Ryan is one of the best medics in the county! I didn't realize he's UA-cam famous lol
Haha yeah, he’s an awesome guy!
He's cute too! 😋😍❤️ Tell him to come to the UK 🇬🇧 😂 LOL
Is this in PA?
Agreed: 😍@@JamieLeeCurtis.
Great video! Amazing how far we have come from the 80s with the tackle boxes!
Very impressive. Great looking vehicle & well-equipped. I wish more communities would start running rigs like this
Brilliant episode brother. I’ve never seen anyone describe the silent witness with enthusiasm 🤣😂 . I learned a lot though.
Wow, their crews are very well trained. Awesome content!

God Bless, Nice Ride!!! I like the advancements you were showing, Wow Continuous Improvement
Ooh yes. I've been waiting for a vid like this
Awesome! Thanks for watching!
Outstanding presentation!
This is interesting to me. I've never seen a paramedic setup like this before. In our area it is all paramedic ambulance
A lot of services don’t have enough medics or enough funding for all medic ambulances so they have a bunch of bls ambulances and put medics in chase cars which can turn the bls ambulances als once they arrive to the scene.
I love how the pumpbag was following the blue/yellow color schema of the car.
Hope you reach 50K subs very soon, I love you videos!
As an idea to future episode, I notice in my environment, many people have no basic first aid knowledge, so maybe you can do a few episode and teach viewers how to perform some basic life saving measures until paramedics arrive at the scene. I'm thinking about applying a tourniquet using a belt, some bandages, Heimlich maneuver for someone who can't breath, chest compressions..
Thanks for watching! That’s a great idea! We will have to work on some videos like that!
Looks so much like a British or Aussie police car, and I like that!
This is a super channel wonderful deep dive behind the scenes and learn more importantly…..:)
I like the active shoot bandolier seems a lot more convenient and better organized than the active shooter bags my and most other departments use.
Its always interesting to see how others do it. I run on an ALS fire/ambulance department that provides ALS intercepts to the outlying area too, out in the midwest.
That’s awesome! We really want organizations to learn from each other. So often we get stuck in a little bubble so we are trying to help everyone find out what will work best for them!
@@HeroesNextDoor here when there is a paramedic intercept, one provider has to remain in back, a “legal crew” must be maintained by state law.
Love these what is inside trucks and stuff please do more videos like this I love them
We got some more coming soon!
That medic was outstanding!
110% for sure
Great video. Great truck too. Well done
With only 2 paramedics in a 220SQ miles good thing this guy is one of them
This guy (John) seems like a pretty switched on bloke.Good to see the right people in these jobs.🚑
I'm from Scotland and we have our battenburg differently but our police and ambulances are both in a bright white colour to allow visibility at any type of day, our fire apparatus are also fully red to allow visibility all day but you will see the rear of the engine and the blue and red LED lights before you see the apparatus.
I absolutely love these videos
Thanks. What do you think of the 360? Something new to bring you even closer!
Pretty cool car! Nice Video and greetings from Germany.
Another German here enjoying this great video! It's always great to see different approaches. Kind of like our "NEF", just not staffed by a physician.
Beautiful specing and well equipped
It's strange; There's a chester & lancaster county next to where I live. Looks like PA & SC have places named pretty much the same way.
Nice video, I live in Europe and this kind of vehicles are really common, the are only few differences (in the case of my country: Italy) are that we don't have active shooter equipment, but we keep an MCI kit, and also 2 defi/monitors, a portable ventilator and a Lucas, (and in some case like in my Region also a portable ultrasound machine) ,another major difference is the staff: In our car there is always ALS staff so it can have: 1doctor 1nurse and an EMT(driver) or can also have: 1EMT and 1Nurse or 1Doctor and 1Nurse, so it never has just one operator; and the last difference is that this car (in Italian: Automedica [literally: Doctor car]) is called jst for critical cases, and always come out with an ambulance.
Thank you for showing American emergency vehicles, is always interesting to see differences and qualities; sorry for my english.

In the UK ambulance cars are called ambulance RRV’s which stands for rapid response vehicle
Sometimes here they are called QRS ( quick response vehicle) or fly cars, or simple chase cars. They are staffed many different ways depending on the service needs for the area they run.
Really nice video and also can you please mention what is the name of the background music 😍
If only the newest generations were as awesome as that young man. What a good guy. Perfect for the job. We're in big trouble when we get older and can't take care of ourselves and need these newer generations help. They won't be able to do anything. God bless you guys out there.
I'm from England and if we see that colour scheme it would be police medical is mostly a bright yellow now
Yes, certainly for NHS trust mercedes truck and van types, mostly yellow. The batternberg is , in different colours , specific to police (white/blue chequers), fire (red/yellow) and ambulances (yellow/ green). But it's important to say that not every ambulance is an NHS one, there are lots of private companies that run individual colour schemes and logos.
And we do not use red at the front.
The fire service reportedly trialled purple years back, but it got washed out in the sun (so I was told).
aye in scotland ours are still green and yellow squares but the ambulances and cars are mostly white the normal box shaped ambulance is yellow and green squares with yellow body
Do you guys have plans to go to Maryland?
great video.
Thanks
Hey I would love to do a tour of our fleet and trucks of our volunteer station but I’m in Waynesboro ms and on station 34 yellow creek vfd
I work in a busy ems system and I’ve rarely if ever seen anyone improve with CPAP. They only improve once you get them to the hospital and put them on Bi-PAP.
I’m sorry that has happened to you maybe it’s the system you are using. Many of the disposable units just don’t work as well. We have found many times it can work as quickly as waking up diabetics.
32:16 that really sends a message home. Not only do cars need to pay attention, bikers need to ride smart too. Its very real and it's very true that bikers are targets. Too many riders take it too far and too many 4 wheelers don't pay attention.
SHEEEEEEESH the car got some drip.
They call em chase cars in PA interesting and here in NY we call em fly cars which is the same I love seeing different emergency vehicles and the different features they have in different regions
That’s cool, I like the name “fly cars” that sounds cooler
In most of PA they are call squad or medic. Legally they are licensed as a squad.
Miss you guys 🤗🤗
You too Mrs. Brooks

Good bless America and your team
Damn this is 10 minutes from me, I volunteer at station 21 in Oxford, we work with medic 94 all the time, it’s a shame jennersville hospital is no longer
For sure, going to be a lot of changes to fix the problem
8 seconds after upload, I am here ahh
What brand is that rearview mirror cam they're using?
I believe it’s the latest drive cam
See if you can get a tour with peco energy emergency crews, unfortunately one of the more common single vehicle collisions is vehicle versus pole with wires down and obviously because of the high voltage is involved its unsafe until the utility company deenergize’s and confirms that the lines are deenergized
Also they have a set of guys that responds to gas leak calls and structure fires on structures that have natural gas service
I enjoy your videos and want to thank you for taking the time to create, video, edit and upload your finished product for the rest of us to enjoy and at times, learn from. I do have one comment that leans heavily towards the negative. Wearing a uniform shirt, especially a dress uniform shirt with blue jeans is one of the most unprofessional things many people make. It just shouldn’t ever happen. Blue jeans with a department polo or t-shirt when off duty is one thing . But whether on or off duty, you should NEVER wear a uniform shirt with blue jeans.
Again, thanks for all that you do to bring us each new video and I look forward to your next production.
JC
Yeah after we shoot these I noticed that too. Sorry about that. I used the dresses shirt cause it has button up for easy of mic placement. But I agree I’m not a fan. This has changed but we have a couple of more videos to come that you might see it again before we fixed it. Thank you for watching and letting us know how to improve
@@HeroesNextDoor I completely understand and I'm so glad you took this as constructive criticism which is how it was meant. I look forward to your future videos, keep up the fantastic productions.
Is this the City, County, or Department you work for? Reason I ask, seems like you do alot of videos of this Place,City,County, And/Or Department... Thanks in Advance. Keep up the Good/Wonderful work Brother, always stay safe & of course, ALWAYS WATCH YOUR SIX!!!
And its so much different up north where your at compared to how EMS and all Emergency Ops are Ran/Operate down here in the South. So it pretty cool to see how yal run thangs and of course how different the day to day operations are, and of course how the equipment is the same, yet different if that makes any since to ya???
We are based in Chester county PA. SO it has been little easier to get invites to stations since I have worked with most. However we are willing to go anywhere. We just need to work out the logistics to get there. All our travel has been on our dime and we charge nothing to the stations we post. If stations want to help get us there that would make it easier but we don’t require it.
Who is the manufacturer of the dash camera? Thanks.
Drive cam
Hello! May I ask why you guys use the Interceptor package over the normal one?
There are upgrades that help save maintenance costs.
@@HeroesNextDoor thanks!
On the lightbar is tech type as 2010
its about slow or fast saved.
Liking the battenburg pattern making its way across the pond. Although if you see blue/yellow check here it's police.
We would use Green/Yellow check for this car
Blue/yellow = police
Green/yellow = ambulance or similar
Red/yellow = Fire/Rescue
Black/Yellow = Highways officer (think DoT officer, not law enforcement but deals with crashes, debris on the roads, broken down vehicles in dangerous positions etc)
Red-brown/yellow =Urgent Blood or Organ transport
Thanks for sharing. One day maybe we can come see your stuff too. Make sure to like and share these videos to help us build so we can film more content
WHat is the speed and Horsepower gonna do when no one lets you through:) Awesome vid!
🤣
So do you not run ALS ambulance up there
There is a mix. Depending on your location and how it was initially set up from the 80’s
Is this the UK no this is the paramedics
On our Emergency Doctor Cars, staffed with either a well trained EMT or a paramedic as driver and an emergency doctor (actual M.D. with advanced training to handle prehospital emergency care), we carry most of the equipment which we have on our ALS Emergency Ambulance, apart from the stretcher, spine board, scoop stretcher, immobilization equipment and stair chair, but thatfor it has equipment not carried by the ALS Ambulance like e.g. the mechanic chest compression device for CPR, cooling compartment for certain medication, in general a much wider range of medication, surgery bag and a videolaryngoscope
Do doctors get called to every job, or only the most critical jobs? Is it likely they will upskill paramedics and replace the doctors with those paramedics? We're introducing more and more "doctor" skills to paramedics here in Australia.
@@coover65 no they're only dispatched to potentially life threatening emergencies. A normal ALS Emergency Ambulance staffed with EMT and paramedic can handle many situations on their own, but for more critical patients or those which require a wider range of medication they'll send the doctor car right away, or the Ambulance calls for it once they're on scene and see that the doctor is required. No, it's unlikely that this will happen; No matter how well trained a paramedic is, the doctor still has a doctor degree and has much deeper knowledge on indications and contraindication of some medication, pre-existing illness and on-scene patient handling. Sometimes we see also more than 1 doctor on scene, the most I've experienced was 3 doctors on scene of a precipitate labor: normal ALS Emergency Ambulance, me on the "normal" Emergency Doctor Car, a seperate Children Emergency Doctor Car and additional to that a Newborn Doctor Ambulance (Doctor Ambulances are basically an ALS Emergency Ambulance with the emergency doctor already part of the regular crew, and that particular ambulance only handles newborns
@@EnjoyFirefighting What an informative answer. Thank you. In my state of Australia we have doctors who work on High Acuity response units, and also on our helicopters. There is a push and a trend to upskill selected paramedics to perform procedures normally reserved for doctors. All up those paramedics have had at least 4 and a half years of training.
@@coover65 unfortunately a lot the paramedics have learned and are trained on can't be done on their own here; Thus a lot of medication is reserved to be handled by doctors, so there's rather the legal aspect behind it
@@EnjoyFirefighting You hit the nail on the head there with the legal aspect. When we were told about paramedics being trained to do a lot of advanced procedures, we expected backlash from doctors. Our top surgeons were as excited as us, and were instrumental in designing a training program. In essence you can only move forward with the support of politicians and the top people in health departments.

That's a very nice unit. I wish we had them instead of the somewhat inadequate Hyundai Santa Fe we have in Australia as our version of a chase unit. I've noticed some US emergency vehicles have blue and red lights, others just red. Why is that? Combination of blue and red is standard Australia wide. Many thanks for another informative video.
The emergency lighting is based on state laws. In Pennsylvania (where this agency is based) the law for Fire / EMS vehicles is primarily red lighting. Police utilize Red / Blue (however can operate just red by statute) and volunteer EMS / Firefighters can utilize blue on personal vehicles. In neighboring New Jersey and Delaware all emergency vehicles are authorized to use red / blue; in New York all emergency vehicles utilize red forward and have the option of using blue only in rear facing setting. Most states also permit the option of white forward facing and amber rear facing, just depends on where you’re at in the US! Thanks for the positive feedback and questions!
In my country we usually use Piaggio 3-wheel scooters instead to get paramedics to casualties before the ambulance arrives
@@lzh4950 Parts of Australia use paramedics with motorcycles from the police Highway Patrol fleet, which i think are Honda or BMW 1100s. They're only used in dry weather though. Supervisors though are currently equipped with Isuzu MUX vehicles.
@@jryan5184 in my city Rochester NY city police have red and white facing forward red and blue facing back. NY state police have red in front and red yellow and a little blue in the back. Fire is mostly red with blue in back. Ems is red and yellow.

Respect from the uk that you have finally copied our hi vis patterns however would have been nice if you followed our colour patterns
green yellow medic
blue yellow police

Ford Explorer, EMS uses us as Intercepters too! (sponsored by ford)
it's 5 am in long island, ny. this is the best and only thing I could think of.
Good to see battenburg markings but think that the European system of blue = police; red = fire ; green = ambulance/EMS and in England the clear markings on the Highways England vehicles also good. Having a clear marking including the red/yellow standard rear markings work well. If you look at NYPD their vehicles look too similar to city vehicles so they would benefit from a battenburg marking.
well it's not like that across all of Europe you know ...
thus e.g. Norwegian fire apparatus might have red-yellow or red-white Battenburg markings while some places across Germany bright red -yellow Battenburg color schemes are used no EMS units
I think l have seen pics. of. US ambulance with green yellow Battenburg.
@@markfowler6330 Finland does not have the Battenburg markings which I'm grateful for. You just can''t take seriously an emergency vehicle that looks like a circus wagon.
It weird seeing a blue and yellow pattern, it makes it very similar to European police services, as the medics usually have yellow and and green pattern.
