RIP Job For a Cowboy's first and last Deathcore album. Legendary
yup, so sad now 98% of their stuff is borderline uninitelligble crap like most of the other "really heavy" "death metal" bands... i didn't start listening to JFAC because i wanted death metal..... never understood that change... they get everyone on board with arguably the best sound we've ever heard, and then change to this basic as fuck technical death metal that largely sounds like alot of other crap, some of it i can'teven listen to it's almost just noise at a certain point when you can't pick out the different instruments and vocals......
RIMJob For a Cowboy's
ahahah
lol. Epic I got into them and Daath around the same time. any body to listen to Jynx of Authority on Purevolume back in the day?
@@zeening I take it you don’t like Death Metal
@@zeening Their new albums are insanely good. Sucks that you don't appreciate the new stuff but luckily for you deathcore has been saturated since 2007 so you have plenty to fill your plate lmao
For better or for worse This album influenced an entire generation of metal musicians
lol probably for the worse, but i remember when this ep dropped it was undeniably fire
Ryne Napier I was 13 when it came out and when my friend showed it to me my jaw dropped haha I couldn't believe something could sound like that
dannyzep92 yea it came out when i was in highschool, and it was something new that everyone was into, i couldnt escape "entombment of a machine" for months. i saw them live a few months after it dropped and there was two main stages i forgot who the other band was playing on the other stage but everyone was just watching jfac set up cause everyone was that hype to see them. they were huge
y
dannyzep92 It did me. seventh grade. entombment of a machine. I'm 22 now.
Crazy this was in 2005, Heavier than anything I've heard lately, It was sick when it came out, And it still shreds today.
fr tho
@Ben Gordon And after four years, you're still right. And it still shreds today.
Listen to Vulvodynia. From South Africa \m/

Awwwww so cute!

One of the best Ep’s in existence
Damn straight bub! Lol. There newest album is pretty good. Really heavy and still has those early JFAC vocals
wish we still got deathcore like this nowadays tbh
no kidding, such a fucking shame they switched genres and shame all the original guys left
Psychoframe
Back in 2005-06 I went to see them at a local venue for my first show at 15 -years old. Its 2022 and I still have the CD from their Merch station sitting in my visor in my 2018 truck. I will always hold onto this CD.
Teacher pulled my headphones out at the wrong time xD. He felt it was necessary for the class to hear what i was listening to. poor dude went into shock i think.
My teacher had me unplug my headphones and "Tampon Lollipops" by Skinless played. BAD. TIME.

Here I am in 2022 remembering when I randomly stumbled across this album 17yrs ago when I was 21, been a while since I’ve listened to it and I never was really a big into deathcore, but man it’s crazy to be 38 and hear that blood curdling scream at the beginning again knowing how much of a game changer it was. One of deathcore's finest offerings!
The drums feel like they are stomping on my chest while the riffs are crawling up my spine. Amazing.
still one of the best deathcore albums out there
10 years ago I have moved on to different kind of music and this is one of the few bands that I haven't repressed from my consciouss mind. Some parts of this EP are divine
this was the fucking absolute most brutal shit in 2005
I would have thought the same, but my friend introduced me to Pig Destroyer who released Terrifyer the year before this. But I think they are mostly grind though.
ya i remember when this came out lol tryna show friends this and theyre like "uh"
Yes
Animosity, All Shall Perish and Job for a Cowboy pretty much started deathcore. JFAB even got the whole metal band on myspace thing started.
Still is
this rock'n'roll is pretty good.
Please tell me you're kidding.
No? why u think dat?
bonza haja "Rock'n'roll"
well, it for sure ain't hiphop
bonza haja It's not either.
entombment of a machine is a symphony. seriously some of the best music composed ever.
finally some blackened smooth death jazz i can listen too
I mean technically it is.
I dig the sound they had on this album. I hear a huge influence from old school brutal death metal- They essentially sound like Suffocation with breakdowns and more variety in the vocals. Nothing really hate-worthy here.
I just ate a footlong from subway to this album and I haven't felt this satisfied in a while. Can't believe I've been listening to this album for 13 years now. Still better than all this current technical stuff going around.
holy shit !!
i am 40 years old, been a metal head all my life, heyday in the 80's too, black in the 90's
how did i miss this band.?
its 2014 intense to say the least.. awesome
Yo bro I'm 52 and Ben hittin it hard since 82; someone said check it last summer I can't put down!!!!!!!
This is my favorite Nintendocore album.
2024, still loving this EP. I've listened to it for 15 years.
One of my favorite EP's of all-time! Still heavier and still slaps than some releases nowadays. RIP Jobforacowboy.
Heavier than billy eyelash for sure

1:03 "Preheat pizza rolls, preheat almost done". Job for a cowboy knows whats up!
my wife eats them and she likes them because they are good
bahshqhahqhahqha
This album is an absolute masterpiece!
One of the most brutal bands ever heard!
09-20-2024: This band shreds like Suicide Silence and Cannobal Corpse, trust ! Just listen to the vocalist 'Bree' and you'll side with us,trust. Straight Brutal ,further trust !
Glad I subscribed.
2019 and still bumping. The tide will always rise
I'm definitely more of a fan of death metal than deathcore, but this album really won me over. It shows how great deathcore can be. Arguably one of the best pure deathcore albums ever put together.
agreed
I wish they wouldnt have changed this sound and went more mainstream , they are made for this!! But another one of my faves Attila is changing too... sux Check out Attila if you want some brutal awesomeness!
I like this for what it is, but make no mistake: JFAC's new sound is far superior in terms of musical composition. Also, Attila's not really my style, I prefer true death metal from bands like Deicide and Cryptopsy. I recommend checking out Thy Art is Murder, they're closer to a genuine death metal sound than this and Attila but aren't completely. I recommend the album The Adversary but you may like Infinite Death and Hate more.
@@bbswag5420 They made a song about fake fans like you lmao
@@mmmTheMuffinMan They will never be able to top Hate
"Preheat pizza rolls, bring me applesauce"

NVM, just caught it
Thanks to you, I now hear that in the lyrics... 😑 Thank you very much. Lol.

Welcome to Papa Johns
Make Brees great again.

@123 abc lol it's not the worst fad it's actually interesting there's way worse fads in music. This actually takes some skill and the bree's on actually sound decent. Low growls on the other hand are way worse and almost have no dynamics.
No flipn hipster
I want them to make a song call Drew Brees
My first ever deathcore song as a listener was entombenment of a machine, i remembered calling it "super death metal"
This really brings back a lot of good memories for me :') My mother would always complain about me liking this "kind of music", while she was in the car blasting gangster rap songs. "Chicken noodle soup with a soda on the side" ???? What the hell does that even fucking mean lol
Ahh the good 'ol days!
The bree bree era.
It's about damn time someone put this up thanks a lot dude!
I love the pigsqueals
I'm fairly new to A Job For A Cowboy, their great, never heard a bad song by them.
That beginning breakdown was amazing!
Best JFAC album in my opinion.
19 people agree with your opinion
It is
100% by far
If you're more about that raw aggression definitely, but for me Sun Eater was crafted perfectly and topped it
Sun Eater.
One of my favorite metal albums ever and the art work too but I just realized hes reaching out to shake hands with his left hand.
It made me tear up a little. It's that good
are you on your period?
Lol nah brah
than your good
Sebastiaan Schram
More than or less than his good?
Check out Attila their first 3 albums are dope
I'm 38 and have partied waaaay too hard to this album on many occasions back in the day. JFAC's "DOOM" is the gold standard of OG-deathcore IMO. i'm glad the genre is coming back with bands like Lorna Shore (check their album "Pain Remains"....it is undeniably brilliant) and Suicide Silence, among others.. If i had an awful day at work, however, this EP hits different than any other album for me, personally. makes me drive way too fast on my way home from work, too. JFAC forever! i'll take the speeding ticket....and eat it.
Their best album (or EP) by a long shot.
Sun eater is on a whole different level
Best album ever cx Just so badass, lol I fell in love with this band ever since I found em
This record is a real piece of work......
Wow! Brings me back to high school. My favorite off this was Entities.
4:38 17 years later and that breakdown still goes hard
Simply one of the best Deathcore EP's of all time. Either this one or Thy Art Is Murder's Infinite Death.
When deathcore was good and not a chugfest
wyatt malm right, there is a lot of different hooks and riffs besides just 6 string chugs. The vocals are just better sounding than most of todays deathcore too.
wyatt malm Pretty much the only "Dethcore" band I will listen too, just because it sounds sooo goood compared to others.
+Jabronie Johnson ever listen to bloodbath?
but this is a breefest
+Isaac Figueroa Vivanco Those "bree's" are actually gutturals done right. This was the beginning of Deathcore and Slam 11 years ago.
I love coming on UA-cam and checking out some of my favorite bands especially the first albums/EP albums and listening to it. I mean it's totally different and each bands first albums are hard hitters I mean this band changes as they got more albums under them, suicide silence sounds totally different from the Cleansing, even Carnifex changed after Dead in my arms. This EP as well as the other bands I just named had suck great first albums. Love the directions they are in now, it's new and fresh!
I ate a sandwich to this.
izzytheisrael Haha, exactly what I'm also doing right now
thats fucking brutal
I'm calling the police
my man.
This made me laugh way to hard because I'm literally just eating a sandwich listening to this right now and definitely wouldn't have realized how funny that actually kind of is without having seen your comment hahaha
Wow high school memories.. sophomore year witnessing this catch fire. Crazy how big they got.
Most soothing album to date
best deathcore record ever!!
This has been my favorite band since I was 14. Johny davis vocals are boss he has so much range and control. If u don't like gutterals then find a new band why waist ur time criticizing? These guys have been one of the biggest influences to this genre and others like it. Just the vocabulary he uses is so vivid and intense how can u NOT like it? Lol
I cannot understand a fucking word but yes
He’s a really basic vocalist lmao. Have you not heard of Alexei, Richard Allen, Ben Duerr, CJ Mcreery, or Will Ramos?

A good album to start with man..this album started and defined the genre.

some reason i alwys prefer bands original albums or eps, they seem to be more unpolished and raw
