I think Khromovo was taken already 3 days ago when they announced that the Ukrainians blew up the temporary bridge between Khromovo and Bakhmut. We always have a delay in the reporting. Next part to fall is the district where there is the destroyed Mig17 and that will be it... The Ukrainians have never been able to contain the advance of Russians at any time for the past 6 months now not even launching an attack of significance or taking any piece of territory anywhere. This war, since Russia has mobilized has been a one way ticket and I don't think it will change till the surrendering of Ukraine.

    • @LuisAldamiz
      @LuisAldamiz Рік тому +19

The delay in reporting is usually less than 24 hrs (although not every channel pays due attention to everything or may dismiss this or that report on wrong judgement). I rather think that, as the Russians took control over the fortified bend of road 0506, just NW of Khromovo, the situation of the suburb became untenable and thus it was necessary to destroy that pontoon and assume that the neighborhood would be detached from Western Artyomovsk and thus eventually lost (by force or evacuation).

@@ziggys. It's never ok to kill civilians, but the fault is entirely on Ukraine army side by being there in the first place. Ukrainian tactic is clearly aimed at maximum destruction of the city and any remaining civilians. Which they were supposedly "defending" and "protecting". Compare this to Kherson, Russia defended OUTSIDE the city and they evacuated everyone who wished to leave before they retreated. The city is mostly undamaged and those who stayed were in no danger. during high tide the entire wetland will be flooded. It will be extremely difficult for tanks to move through. Although ti should be noted that all Russian tanks / IFVs / APCs can cross rivers. This might be an attempt by the Ukrainians to divert Russian resources away from the Zaporizhia frontline for their upcoming offensive. Let's see how Ukrainians perform when they don't outnumber Russians 5 to 1 like in Kharkiv, with 5 weeks of training for western tanks, against earthworks, minefields, tank traps & well armed, well prepared Russian troops.

Nah, I think the Russians want to close it eventually (relatively soon imo) to solidify their line of defense. The local area offers a great strongpoint due to previous reinforcement and the natural topography.
This would offer them great resistance to offensives in the oblast, while shortening the line and allowing large movement of forces elsewhere.

@@oldguy217 somewhat yeah, tho who actually knows other than the managers of said combat theatre. Most of why I say this is the pushing out of Ukrainian forces in the city. It seems if they wanted to keep wasting Ukrainian resources indefinitely, they would've (a) never entered the city or (b) stopped at the railway station that offers a nice division in the city. They did neither.
Some of what they have done during the last few months has been to lure in more Ukrainian resources, but ultimately it seems they're now wanting to close it off imo. This is compounded by prigozhins recent statement of no more PoWs in Bahkmut, which will likely intimidate the remaining Ukrainian personnel in the area, especially considering they already have problems with morale and desertion as seen through numerous videos of them abusing deserters.
To further this, the area they've secured behind Bahkmut can be used to collapse on withdrawing forces. Affected by the fact that the major roads are all under targeting range and have been forcing Ukraine to use less reliable earth routes for a while now. This leaves ukraine incredibly vulnerable while moving to chasiv yar, which is under pressure itself.

taking bakhmut and pushing the ooks back is primarily intended to safeguard the supply network
but once they have consolidated, the russians need to take kostiantynivka to put pressure on the MSR feeding into the south of kramatorsk...if they also cut the northern MSR from sloviansk and blow up the bridges to the west of kramatorsk, they can starve out the defenders in kramatorsk, if they then take the crossroads at kupiansk, the ooks in siversk will be cut off

After Bakhmut is liberated the Russians might just go straight after Kramatorsk and grab it, there's nothing between them and the city. If they reach the river on the two sides the Kramatorsk AFU garrison will depend on a few bridges only for supplies. The Ukrainian counter attack has very low chance to succeed, the Russian Air Force is more and more confident and actively used, and you can't conduct an offensive if your enemy has air superiority, that's just a suicide mission.

    Please consider/discuss this scenario:
Ukraine's current Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal thinks weaponry for prolonging the war is what Ukraine needs.
If there's a lack of sufficient weaponry it would seem that what Ukrainians need is not more war (with or without sufficient weaponry), but instead what Ukraine needs is peace, ie., the return of Yanukovich.
Yanukovich could salvage the rump state (including the oblasts Odessa, Mikolaiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, while/if they're still part of Ukraine, when/if he returns), by negotiating a peace settlement acceptable to Putin, recognizing the annexed territories, obtaining security guarantees (for Ukraine's defensive needs) from Putin, and agreeing to jointly conduct/verify the demilitarization/denazification of Ukraine, including Russian assistance/partnership in reconstruction, rehabilitation, reconciliation, development, trade and energy conduits to Europe restored, safe return of refugees that fled Ukraine, etc.
I think this is possible because Zelensky's reputation/position is becoming more and more untenable, as is the war, his coup-spawned government may fall (or flee).
Yanukovich had majority voter support nationwide except among the far northwestern border oblasts, and is uniquely qualified to speak for and represent Ukrainians against the war on the seceded Russian oblasts.
Now, IF Gonzalo Lira in Kharkiv is aware of the nefarious duplicity of the Minsk agreements (Merkel, Hollande, Obama/Biden, Poroshenko), the US/UK/EU/NATO expansionist subversion/intervention, and Ivan Katchanovky's reports on investigations that exonerated Yanukovich regarding the shooting of Maidan protestors (alleged pretext for the coup), THEN, despite censorship, these revelations (and more recent scandalous exposés of lies/corruption) may be known to some greater extent in Ukraine generally, and that Yanukovich was framed & smeared (like Trump) & targeted for assassination, the Maidan snipers were not the Berkut Police, and they know who DID shoot the protesters and who WAS behind the coup, and that Yanukovich's alleged rejection (the fabricated pretext for the 2013 Maidan protest) of an offer/opportunity of EU membership (and NATO) was a smear, as the 'offer' was (it has been exposed) never sincere, even the west-friendly puppet coup governments of Yatsenuk, Poroshenko, & Zelensky haven't been accepted into the EU and NATO.
I think the coup plotting against Yanukovich began earlier, when, quite rationally, he renewed Russia's lease of the Black Sea port at Sevastopol for their fleet, which was absurdly opposed by Tymoshenko's bloc (AND Yuschenko) of anti-Russian EU/NATO membership-seekers whom Yanukovich defeated in 2010. The coup installation of the anti-lease-renewal government left Putin no choice but to immediately annex Crimea, to preserve Black Sea access for their fleet (and security of the fresh water supply to Crimea from the Dnipro canal in Kherson oblast).
After nine years of lies, war, martial law, curfew, travel restrictions, corruption, debt, persecution, bans of languages, religions, political parties, media, the letters Z & V, etc., conscription, power outages, a puppet government of profiteers, etc., it seems plausible that Ukrainians may actually MISS the peaceful tolerant policy of Yanukovich & his Party of Regions. Certainly they must fear escalation into a world war as more countries are enlisted or coerced to join in on both sides.
Feedback is welcome, so please reply/comment on the plausibility/feasibility of such a scenario occurring, bearing in mind that at the time (2014) he was unlawfully overthrown Yanukovich DID vow to return. As recently as 2021 Yanukovich's (or Medvedchuk installed) return as President was even posited by Ukrayinska Pravda (Prytula sold it to Soros Dragon Capital in 2021) as a plan of Putin's. Is or was it a plan of Putin's to reinstate Yanukovich?
Lastly, Putin, Lukashenko, and the people of the annexed Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Donbas & Crimea (potentially Kharkiv too) will have no resentment/distrust of Yanukovich (as they certainly would toward Zelensky's aggression) as reinstated President of Ukraine, and reconciliation will depend upon there being no desire for reprisal/revenge on either side, and the peoples of western Ukraine have no reason to fear (as they may under Zelensky) for their languages, cultures, religions, dissent, under Yanukovich.
If he would 'seize the day' as 'man of the hour', Yanukovich could arrive (or announce to the world in a summit with Putin, and call for support) with a 'Minsk 3' peace settlement in his hand, ready to present to the Verkhovna Rada.
What might be the public reaction, presuming that a treason trial would surely backfire?
Should Yanukovich wait until next year's elections and declare himself a candidate? Might that be too late? What if he had a well publicized 'summit' with Putin & Lukashenko in Minsk, wherein he is recognized as the legitimate President in exile, and the 'Minsk 3' settlement is read for all to hear, especially calling on refugees and soldiers for supporting the Minsk 3 accord being voted on in the Rada? What then, if the Rada refuses or rejects it? Should he wait for the neutralization of Bakhmut & Avdiivka & Marinka to arrive in his hometown near Donetsk, or in Odessa protected by brigades of loyal mutineers & POWs released under oath by Putin?
Yanukovich doesn't have a messiah complex, or seek martyrdom, but if he (and Putin) would realize it, he could save the world from world war!

The long answer is that Zelensky does not have a lot of love for a very large portion of the Ukrainian armed Forces. He will not hesitate to employ those forces since the elimination of those will serve him in more than just one way. He can portray himself already a winner if he wins the war he will be a national hero if he loses he defeated nationalism with, it’s own weapon.

As an American, I can say with confidence that most of us the citizens just want peace. This is being driven by a handful of wealthy, well-connected power brokers in both of our major political parties. They stand to benefit personally or politically from this war in Ukraine, either by selling the weapons to fight the war, or because they have business connections to corrupt Ukrainians which they're trying to preserve. The EU are trying to secure increased control over oil and nat gas pipelines coming through Ukraine and put increasing pressure on Vladimir Putin who defies their efforts to absorb all of eastern Europe under Brussels' control at the EU. Russia needs to win this decisively in order to stop the EU and NATO from continuing their plan to expand their own geopolitical position by force. Our leaders are betraying our principles here. None of this has anything to do with democracy. It's about dictatorship, and it should be opposed.

"America's Imperial" doesn't have anything to do with it. You think Biden cares about the U.S.? The man who gloats about filling the country with mass immigration from the Third World until Americans lose their own country? Who makes sure there are almost no White men in his administration, and whose main financiers are anti-White Jhews like Sam Bankman-Fried, George Soros and Larry Fink? They target Russia because it helps the pro-Palestinian Syria and Iran. They hate Putin for publicly opposing the mass immigration to the West, which the Left relies on for election victories - without mass immigration they'd lost every single national election in the West after the 1990s. They also hate Russia for not allowing homo propaganda to school children, which leftists use to brainwash White children into turning against their own society.

True. Wagner would not kill them if they surrendered en masse, that statement was just to scare individual Ukrainians into leaving. Now it's, "I can't follow that plan anymore, so I have to leave to the west now while I'm still at the base!"

@Turbo999be They no longer have the army for that if in fact they ever did. The defense requires three things, engineering assets, artillery and infantry. The West has not given them engineer equipment because frankly they don’t actually have it in the amounts necessary. The artillery they have given them is not well suited for a long term defense and the global scale of the logistics chain also doesn’t support massing of fires. Shipping 155mm rounds from the US is much harder than shipping 152mm rounds from Tula. And the Ukrainians have wasted their infantry formations on stupid attacks and forlorn defenses of places that had no strategic or tactical value. Essentially an offensive no matter how stupid it seems is their last best hope.

I have spent quite some time in Ukraine and I never met any Ukrainian who was not absolutely disappointed in their governments, considering all of them thieves. How the hell are they accepting now to fight till the end is a great mystery to me. I’m talking with some people who otherwise are perfectly sane persons, they have no doubt that the West is using them but yet somehow they think that they will manage to outsmart the western machine and use it for their benefit. It’s crazy.

And now supplying Bakhmut got much worse. Hopefully will make progress to the town on that road to the east of the canal and take it. Should be hard then to supply Ivanivske. So too do the two sides in Ukraine fight only over which White people should hold the land, and as a show of force before the rest of the world. The resources wasted could have gone to helpd the indigenous societies that have been ignored for so long, but we hear no talk of that here. Rather, the war strengthens nationalism and aggression in the two White societies, which directly and indirectly benefits all White societies. But not those on the outside. The indigenous peoples in Russia and Ukraine alike have been reduced to invisibility."
